Protective plastic ruins the stainless steel!!

I gave a one because to give a review you have to give at least a one. We built a house, bought the range hood a couple months before installing it. The protective plastic was so stuck to the product is very difficult to get it off. And impossible to get it out of all the cracks. Then it leaves a sticky residue and I™€™ve tried everything to get it off. It is streaked all the time and looks terrible!!! Very unhappy with this product!! Love all our other Frigidaire products but this one deserves a zero!! Don™€™t buy it!

Vent Hood Disapointment

Really disapointed, this vent hood was purchased on 4/11/25, received on 4/25/25, and installed by my contractor who installed my new Frigidaire appliances including a built in oven, built in microwave, 5 burner cooktop and vent hood the week of 4/30/25. The vent hood has a dent in the side, the metal is very thin and soft and not welded together. I just got off the chat with customer service and they told me basically I'm out of luck because I purchased it 4/11/25 and it has been more than 30 days since my purchase.I'm really disapointed in this and now my whole kitchen has an eyesore. Pretty cold response from Frigidaire as well, thank you so much!

We had range hood delivered damaged. (December 24)Have been trying to get it replaced with no luck we have called customer service twice and both times we get the run around .we have 1 year mfg warranty plus extended warranty

Design Flaw

Perfect Except for One Item

Reasonably quiet, well made with quality materials. Stylish and easy to operate. Able to be installed as a ducted or ductless unit. The only drawback - when installed as a ductless unit, the exhaust opening is at the top front of the unit. With no fins to direct the airflow, all the exhaust with any moisture and residual contaminants not captured by the grease and charcoal filters are blown directly onto the front of your cabinets. This issue could be resolved by simply offering a finned addition that could be attached in place of the blanking panel that needed to be removed for a ductless installation.

Consider before you buy

Love the look and functionality of this unit. Installation instructions were very clear and was easy to install replacing an older range hood. Hopefully it will function as flawlessly as the 35 year old hood it is replacing. With that in mind, someone who is thinking of this unit should consider two things. 1) this comes with two optional use carbon filters, which they recommend replacing periodically (cannot be cleaned). Their part number for this 5304535517, is well over $100 for a thin black foam filter with a carbon coating. Be prepared to shop for these as a carbon filter material through other sources 2) For us, the lamp is the most used function. My concern is that if it ever fails, there is no Frigidaire part available to the consumer from any of the common appliance part sources I typically use. The manual says it must be replaced by a service technician only - which could mean the cost to do this may be as much as replacing the entire unit - even though it appears to be an easily snapped in part with a plug-in connection in the wire harness. I like the unit and it's functionality, but just disappointed that Frigidaire is not making affordable long term maintenance a consideration for the consumer.

We have loved using this range hood! Not only is it stylish and sleek but it also does a great job clearing the smell and oils while cooking. I also love how bright the light but also that it projects more of soft white light rather than a harsh blue light. Overall we have really enjoyed it!

Modernizing an Old Kitchen with Simple Elegance

Our kitchen was original to the house (1986) and we have been replacing the appliances one at a time as we could afford. We don't want to redo the whole kitchen just yet, as our kids are young and we don't have the schedule allowance to disrupt our lives without a kitchen for 6 weeks to 2 or 3 months. This stainless steel range hood was the first we found (and agreed on together) that didn't require a vent going up through our roof. It has a fan that recirculates the air at 3 different speeds and is significantly quieter than our last range hood. The LED light also has 3 different brightness settings, ranging from a nice soft nightlight to a bright-as-day white glow. We like the power button, as it remembers our last settings and turns on the same way we turned it off.Another great feature is that the stainless steel filter screen can be taken down and thrown in the dishwasher. No more finding replacements or soaking and scrubbing to get the screen clean.This range hood is simple, elegant and finally matches our other stainless steel appliances. 10/10 ?

We love the sleek design of our new stainless range hood. It is engineered to be ductless or vented to outside. The fan offers three speed settings and operates quietly. The light offers three levels of brightness which we especially like. We couldn™€™t be more pleased with this product!
