Great Value - Lots of trade-offs

This is the cheapest induction range on the market. It mostly works well but has lots of tradeoffs and design problems as other reviews have noted. - The oven fan runs when it is actively heating whether it is on convection bake or not. On convection bake it runs more often, but still not all the time. It can be loud in a quiet kitchen. This is not how convection bake is supposed to work (or air fry).- That massive 14" burner? The heating element is only about 7.5 inches. Your eggs will cook in the middle and not at all around the edges in a medium fry pan. This seems like fraud to me, not just an inconvenience. The other burners are even smaller. None of the burners are actually centered on the burner graphics, you need to learn where the burner is and move your pan off-center.- The burner buttons are very inconvenient, requiring at least three sequences to turn on. First press and hold to turn it on (not just press). Then push up or down on the temp and it will start at the top or bottom of the scale. Then switch to the other button to get it where you want. My last induction range started on 5 so you just pressed the up button if you wanted it anywhere from 5-High for example.- The burners are much hotter than my last induction and don't have enough steps for simmer which wants to be between 1-2.- personally I don't like the graphics on the display panel, they look bold and cheap to me, but thats personal preference.On the plus side the oven keeps an accurate temperature.

We are loving the induction cooktop! Cooking has become so much cooler in the kitchen now! No longer are we concerned about burning ourselves on the cooktop AFTER finishing cooking and moving the pots/skillets from the "burner" because it cools down so fast that we can almost instantly touch the spot we were using after removing the cookware from it. We also added a silicone cover to the cooktop and use it as extra counter space when we are not cooking with it. We are also loving the oven and are experimenting with the air fryer option a lot now. Think about it, an air fryer as large as the oven! We use a copper chef wire rack/cookie sheet combo that works perfectly for large air fryer batches! When we pull it out of the oven we roll back the silicone cover and place it directly on the cooktop to rest and dish up to the plates.All in all this has been a great investment which we hope lasts for years to come!

I've had Stove a little over 2 weeks now and so far, I love it! Hadn't Originally considered induction until I (just for fun) tested my Pots and pans to see if they had magnetic bottoms and voila! only a few wern't compatible, but most were ! Oven preheats In no time. Water boils in just a Couple minutes! Had glass cooktop electric before. Only thing I miss from old one that this doesn't have, is a meat probe, No big deal tho. Top seems like it might Scratch easier - but so far So good. For the price, it is a great stove and I'm really enjoying it. Still need to get air fry basket to try that feature. If I could Change one thing, I'd make the burners more visible. They're a little difficult to See in my somewhat dark north facing kitchen.

We purchased this stove because it fit all our criteria, including needing to be good with our cast iron pans. We don't use teflon because we have birds, so we're almost exclusively a cast iron family. We've placed a silicone mat over the top of the stove, and we should have this stove for the next 20 years, ideally.

I'm very happy with this stove. I make batik shirts, and need to bring very large pots of water to a boil. It took an hour on my old propane stove, and it only takes 10 minutes with the Frigidaire induction. I saw complaints about the noise from the fan, but it doesn't seem very loud to me. There were also complaints about the digital controls for the burners, but they work fine.Cast iron pans work well on the cooktop, and the there is a quick response to adjusting the temperature, similar to a propane burner.

Replaced gas range with induction. Been pleased to find the cooktop cooks even faster than gas did. All glass surface easy to clean. Pans do want to slide a bit as you stir since it is a low friction surface, but not a huge deal. Overall pleased with the switch.

I read all the reviews so I had some trepidation. Cooktops that didn™€™t work. Error messages. Oven problems. So far we have had none of that. The induction cooktop is excellent and maybe even more responsive than gas. The oven works fine although I was surprised that the fan runs in regular bake mode intermittently. Reading the manual, it is supposed to. It™€™s a great stove so far.

Was wary of induction but love it. Yes have to invest in some new pans, but it heats up quick and cools down quick which we love. You can lift the pan to adjust things ,but after about 20 secs if you do not return it to the surface it will shut off which is fine.

I replaced my gas range with the Frigidaire induction just over a week ago, and so far, it's been great. The top is quiet, unlike many I've read reviews about. The large burner is fast, and worked well with my cast-iron wok, which has a fairly narrow base. I've never had the high heat I wanted for stir fries until now.The oven is great as well. The outside doesn't heat up much when it's on, and I'm very impressed with the features. I have to get used to the convection fan, which is much more powerful than on my old gas range--have to be very careful when opening the door while it's on, as the blast of hot air is intense.The controls are excellent. I bought the model with controls in the rear because the tiles behind the stove didn't go down far enough for the lower models, but I'm very glad I did. All the functions are clear and intuitive, and all work extremely well. I don't know why this range was so inexpensive compared to others I was considering, but I'm glad I didn't pay more. this one does everything well.

This stove is great! We use it more than our old one because we like it so much! Food cooks evenly and taste great! With bake, convection and air fry you have much more control over your cooking! The induction cooktop is a great feature too! It hears fast with much less residual heat. The cooktop is still warm when the pan comes off but not nearly as hot as our old electric cooktop. I feel much better about my kids as they learn how to use it!

After the electronics for the oven, on our 15+ year old Frigidaire glass top electric range, fried, we were looking into possibly switching to gas for better cooking control. Then a salesman at Don™€™s Appliance Store in Canonsburg, PA., showed us the Frigidaire induction stove and explained it to us. It took about a month of research and hearing testimonies before we decided to purchase one. We™€™re happy that we did. Although we had to buy some new cookware, it™€™s amazing how quickly water boils and skillets are ready to cook. Even though it™€™s electric, we have the same temperature control that you find with gas ranges.Plus (although I can™€™t confirm this yet) it™€™s supposedly more efficient and economical than both conventional electric and gas. If you™€™re OK with technology, don™€™t mind having to adjust some of your cooking techniques, can afford the little higher price of the stove and are OK with maybe having to replace some of your cookware, I would recommend purchasing one.

We have been very impressed with how quickly and evenly the stove cooks through. Boiling water is so much faster than a conventional stove. The air fryer function is fun to use as well; we recently made meatballs that were way less greasy than regular frying but still wonderfully crispy. Very pleased with our purchase!

We've only had the range for a few weeks but absolutely love it. Fast ,even cooking on both the cook top as well as the oven. Unit is very efficient with many features and is easy to clean. Induction cooking is quick and easily controllable. The push button controls take a little time to get use to and require a little patience, but work well once you get used to them. Overall very happy with our purchase.

This is my first induction range and it's "entry-level" both by price and features. That™€™s a good thing because I didn™€™t pay for anything unnecessary. The induction cooktop works very well, and the oven and broiler have been very good too. It does make a few operating noises especially when you start it up, but nothing too bad and when you understand how it works you know why it isn't silent.I wish it had a "cook time" button for the oven. It does have Start Time to start baking when you are out but and end time is just as useful if not more so.I'm glad it's NOT a Smart Oven, WiFi enabled, control from your phone. I find that when I™€™m baking things turn out just right from the recipe time and temperature. With my old oven I always needed more time. I keep an old fashioned thermometer in the oven and I can see that it's always been at the temperature indicated.I would recommend this range if you want induction at the same price as an ordinary range.

Cooks Fast, Easy Cleanup

I love the fast boil feature, and you can't burn yourself on the stovetop. It's a cinch to clean and I can honestly say that the transition has been very smooth. I do need to learn how to use this powerhouse properly, because it's a lot of stove, but the learning curve is paying attention carefully the first time you cook a new dish, and using a lower setting than you normally would once it's up to temp. Only downside is needing to use pans that are magnetized. If you put a magnet to your pan and it doesn't stick, it's aluminum or something else that won't work with this stove. Fortunately I love cast iron.

Finally an induction/convection stove I can use and afford. Almost all other options are controls on the front. I had no option except for a raised back/control back unit. This fit the Bill. I have not used it a lot yet but it has met or exceeded expectations so far. The only negative comment would be that the lower drawer is abnormally small.

Induction Free Standing Range

I've had this for about 2 weeks. Love it! We went with the freestanding after reading reviews forthe drop in and the problem with hitting the control buttons when reaching toward back burner. 4 stars because the burner controls are not intuituve, had to read the manual and there is a bit of delay between pressing the button and the response. It' minimal but in this day of instant gratification it is noticable. In time I will get use to it.Also frigidare should include the air fryer rack. We ordered the silicone mat from amazon to go on the top which is well worth the money as it keeps the cooktop clean. Air Fryer mode is nice as you can put in lots of wings. The convection convert is an option I will not use. I prefer to adjust the heat settings myself. The convert function calculates the difference in temp setting when using convection option for you. I have not tried that and probably wont use it. The timer function I also had to go and read you press how many minutes you want and when you push timer again it will disply the minutes so for 90 minutes you would put in 90 you would think you need to put in the numbers as 90:00 but no, disregard the colon on the disply. We took out our propane stove because it was too dirty and my cabinets next to the stove got really hot with the gas. And no more worrying about leaving an unlit burner on, yes we have done that! So far all in all it gets 4 stars for the reasons stated above. It is a bit of a learning curve on adjusting the heating elements, the P setting or powerboost is excellent, I boiled 16 quarts of cold water in 13 minutes. I would also like to dispel the myth that as soon as you remove your pot or pan, you can put your hand on the element, you can but you will get burned! That is just common sense a hot pan on an element for 2-3 minutes will produce residual heat when you remove it and the insturctions tell you this and also the hot surface light stays lit. Another plus in my case is the oven is extremely well insulated and it stays pretty warm for a long time after you turn it off. Hoping this lasts for more than 5 years.

Temp never matches what it says it is we have to hang a manual thermometer in the oven and raise temp from what the suit says it is. Controls for air fry and convection don™€™t work well. Not easy to select convection cook. It loud and noisy fan is on almost all the time even if you aren™€™t using air fry. I will never buy this brand again as we have issues with the fridge also. Spend a bit more and buy a better brand.

I had an induction cook top in my last house and I loved it. We just built a new house and bought this induction range. It's working exactly as I expected. It is always the same setting for the same food and I get the same results. I've used the oven a couple of times and it also works well.

Pros and cons

I like the speed of the induction cooktop but the elements aren't centered under the graphics printed on the top and they don't extend to that width - the biggest one is about 8 inches. The serviceperson said the elements can't be moved as it is operating as designed. So I have to try to remember where the elements really are and browning is not even across width of the pan. They also don't "auto-size." The oven seems to work well.
