Cabinet microwave

The oven is smaller inside as I expected. The width is bigger and doesn't quite fit in my cabinet as my old GE 30" which leads to the sides sticking out about half an inch. The control panel is easy and simple to use. The looks are amazing and blends in very well with our other appliances.

Got this unit to replace an old one that failed. I decided it was better to replace it, than have it repaired and use that towards buying a new one. I fid a little bit of wood work in the opening as the old unit was slightly bigger. After putting it in it looks great and was easy to install. It matches the other appliances perfectly. Being it's more of a "pure" microwave not having a bunch of options that I never used I think I'll be much happier with it. So far it works great and I'm very happy with it.

We loved this microwave, however only lasted a few years. Many homes on our street have the same microwave and have also needed to replace after only a short use. Not worth the price if a new one is needed every few years.

It does everything it should and then some. Runs quietly and reminds that there is something still inside. I like that you can heat up something without interrupting the timer being used from another purpose. A+++

Garbage, not built to last. For $1200+, it should last more than 2 years!!

As what others have stated, this microwave lasted us 2.5 years. Absolutely ludicrous for a $1200 microwave. I open the microwave door and it blows a breaker. Either the switches are bad, the board is bad, probably both. I'm sure it will cost $500 to fix. Nice job Frigidaire. My cheap college microwave still works and it's 20+ years old and cost me $100. Nobody builds anything of quality any more.

Tough Cleaning

While the Microwave functions great and have had 0 issues with its operation. The biggest downfall and reason for the 3 star review is not being able to easily reach the back for cleaning. I was positive the door could be removed like an oven door but I have yet to figure it out. Any help would be greatly appreciated...

Its the camouflage for me lol, everyone that has used it first thinks its an oven. Love it! I wish it was bigger on the inside to cook a chicken, but its an upgrade non the less. It works well with my kitchen layout and I can still fix pop corn yaay!

I like the microwave once I figured out how to use it. My only complaint is the manual is confusing and difficult to follow. I had to have a technician come and show me how to set the clock because the manual was confusing.

We got this convection microwave oven less than a year ago. It was my favorite part of our new kitchen, so convenient and looks awesome! The sad part is we can no longer use it. The "board" or computer as we were told has broken two times and needed to be replaced. The replacement part is close to $200 so we are now an additional $400 into this and feel like we have a lemon on a convention microwave. It looks really pretty, just wish it worked.

I stacked the microwave with double ovens below. They all match and look amazing! Only a couple things that knocked off a star from my rating. 1) It takes longer to heat things than my old microwave. A cup of soup now requires 1.5 minutes when it used to take one minute. 2) The door pulls down toward you, so you have to be tall enough (or the microwave needs to be low enough) to safely remove a hot dish. Other than these two issues, we love the microwave.

This microwave was an excellent replacement for our Bosch built-in microwave/convection oven. The Bosch gave us problems almost from the beginning. We wanted to replace it with something that would not only be reliable, but would also maintain the look of the kitchen. We're very happy with the purchase. The microwave works well. It has all the features we need in terms of sensor cooking and presets. The display is bright and it looks gorgeous. We considered getting a countertop microwave and putting a stainless steel frame around it, but this looks much, much better. It costs more than a countertop model but was worth it. I was also sold on the fact that Frigidaire is an Electrolux brand. We've had excellent experiences with our other Electrolux appliances. We're glad we opted not to get a combo convection oven again because the heating element in those made the interior harder to clean, and we almost never used the convection oven feature. This microwave was a nearly perfect fit for the space that the previous oven occupied, but you can see that I had to put a small strip of wood under the new oven because it's just a bit smaller than the previous one. (still need to paint that)There are two behaviors that are kind of quirky but not too bad. First, if you open the oven when the its beeping, it still beeps all the way through instead of stopping when you open the door. So you're opening the door and the over in still beeping loudly at you. Not a big deal. The other thing is that if you put some food in the oven, leave it for a few minutes, and then try to start it, the display will say "Food" which means you need to open and close the door before you can set the time and press Start. Otherwise, no complaints!

This hasn't been installed yet as we're still in the middle of our kitchen renovation, but here's why we picked it - the microwave is going under the counter in an island. Having two teenaged boys in the house, I'm worried that if we used a normal swinging door, they'd find a way to not shut it all the way and then walk into it within the first few days. This seemed like the best option to meet our needs and hopefully minimize the risk of damage to a brand new microwave!
