Disappointing

The single star in this review goes to the low temperature freezer warning. After 20 days of my new refrigerator being delivered, the freezer side started beeping and displaying a "HI" temp warning letting me know that there was a problem. I went through the grueling process of contacting Frigidaire customer support and, after trying to upsell me on filters for my broken fridge and asking me if it was plugged in, they put me in contact with a local appliance repair company. It was determined to have a slow leak in the cooling component and the part was ordered and replaced a week later. Not even a month after the repair, I was alerted by a high temp warning alarm on the freezer side again. Once more, I moved all my frozen food out of the freezer and tried to call my friends at Frigidaire. There was going to be a 30 minute wait on hold, so I opted to just directly call the local appliance repair company that had been out to my house to fix the issue the previous month. They came out and determined there was yet another leak in the cooling coil. According to the repair company, the issue is due to the fact that they no longer use soldering during manufacturing as a way to seal the joints and this is a common problem with new appliances. The repair person also mentioned that companies, like Frigidaire, used to offer 5-year manufacturer warranties on their products, but no longer do (although the Frigidaire customer support person I spoke to told me how ™lucky™ I am that they offer a 1-year manufacturer warranty - I guess). I have zero faith in this refrigerator and I™™m sure it will end up in a landfill with the rest of the faulty products of the world once it fails for a 3rd time after the 1-year manufacturer warranty runs out. I™™m not surprised, as this seems to happen with everything I try to purchase these days™¦ it™™s just disappointing and infuriating to deal with. Oh... another heads up to people, be very careful removing the protective film from the shelves and drawers. The protective film peeled off the silver finish on the edges.
