Good Fridge But There Are Problems Frigidaire Needs to Address

This is a good fridge, but here is one problem that is going to annoy and disappoint 90% of the people who purchase it.First, the good: The side by side arrangement is great, and there's lots of space in the freezer. Tech support is good, and it's easy to buy parts. Problem 1: The water from the front is not chilled. It's actually warmer than water from the tap.Everyone who purchases this fridge will think that it dispenses chilled water. Even the tech support representatives think that. I spent 40 minutes in a chat with John trying to figure out why it wasn't chilled. Below are some excerpts from that chat. I wasted a lot of time trying to solve this. When I found out (manual page 19) that this feature didn't exist, what was I going to do? Return the refrigerator and order a new one?Problem 2: I want fridge doors that will close themselves in all situations. I've had fridges that do that. If you open a door wide on this unit, however, it will stay open. Problem 3: There is a door-open alarm, but it doesn't happen until 5 minutes. That's too long. I may no longer be in the room.Problem 4: When the power goes off then on again, an alarm sounds. If power goes off temporarily while I'm sleeping, I don't want to be awakened by an alarm.Problem 5: Frigidaire is shooting themselves by not including a full complement of shelves. People will complain that it doesn't have enough storage, but another door shelf and another fridge shelf might solve their problem. Luckily the parts department is good and parts are cheap.---------------Excerpt from chat:You (BULLET) 5:16 PMJohn saidFor your Frigidaire refrigerator model GRSS2352AF, having water that dispenses at 64°F when your household tap water is at 55°F could indicate that the water isn't getting adequately chilled. This might be due to a few possible factors:Water Reservoir Capacity: Many refrigerators use a water reservoir or coil in the fridge section to cool the water. If the reservoir is small, it may only chill a limited amount of water at a time. Once that™™s used up, the next bit of water may come through at a warmer temperature.Refrigerator Temperature Setting: Ensure the refrigerator temperature is set to the recommended level (typically around 37°F). If the fridge compartment is warmer, the water may not cool as effectively in the reservoir.Cooling Time: If the fridge was recently installed or if a lot of water was used in a short period, it might take time for the water to reach its coldest possible temperature. Allow a few hours for the reservoir to cool down fully.Clogged Water Filter: A clogged or old water filter can restrict flow and impact cooling efficiency. Try replacing the water filter if it™™s due for a change.Airflow Around the Water Reservoir: If items inside the fridge are blocking airflow to the reservoir or tubing, this could affect how well the water cools. Ensure there™™s enough space around the reservoir area....John saidTry resetting the refrigerator by unplugging it for a few minutes, then plug it back in and monitor the temperatures over the next 24 hours.
