When I live in a small apartment I use a small GE refrigerator for about 10years and it still works well as my best friend. after I bought my new house, there are so many friend recommended other brand but I still like GE because GE is a big brand and doing amazing job with refrigerator. I was a skeptic about French Door Refrigerators!

I was a skeptic about French Door refrigerators after having Side by Side for more than 25 years. I have to say I Iove the openness and space in the refrigerator section. Not to mention the bright LED lights, it's like your food is on display. The freezer is nice too, I can see everything, no more stuff hiding in the back. I would also never be without ice & water through the door and I am loving this setup, no more holding the glass you can set it right on the dispenser plate and fill.

First fridge in 26 years!

After 26 years with a great refrigerator it was time for a new one. Love GE products, have had success with them in the past. This new refrigerator is spacious, has many of the features I was looking for. It is a bit loud, has a lot of sudden noises. I also do not like how many ice cubes drop from one push; way more than needed. Wish I could control that. Overall a good product.

Probably my only complaint of it not being a 5 star is that you have to stand and hold the lever to get ice and water where as our last fridge had programmable settings for a 8, 16, 24 oz glass! The ice machine is tucked in door providing more fridge space so that is nice. Love the double drawer deep freezer!

Spacious but noisy

I would really give this a 3.5 if possible. It's very spacious to accommodate food and drinks for a family of 5. Very nice design and easy to wipe down. Stays nice and cold. Drawers and shelves are more than adequate. However it is very noisy which makes me concerned about its longevity because it seems to be working very hard. Also you can barely see the options for "Ice" or "Water" on the dispenser because the letters are in black on a gray background. Finally, some of the crushed ice will end up on the floor if glass isn't held to top of dispenser.

Ice maker defective!

Ice maker had to be replaced not putting out sufficient I Freezer handle coming off too many times and had someone to come to fix it. Handle was recalled and now no more issues with it but still ice output insufficient! Product inferior!!

I got this brand new refrigerator and it is very very noisy when it is in operation. I can hear the loud noise more than 50 feet away from it. Sometimes I heard vibrating noise. I called for a service. The technician came and told me it is normal. The loud noise and vibrating noise is normal!!!

This french door refrigerator holds a lot of food - in both the refrigerator and the freezer. The exterior is attractive, the fingerprint resistant stainless steel truly doesn't show prints, and the shelves are very well organized. The top right shelf can slide to be a half shelf or full depth (allowing for taller items on the shelf below if needed). I'm very happy with my purchase.

I did a lot of research before I decided this was the fridge for us. The motor is very quiet. I thought there would be a lack in freezer space, however it does fit everything I would normally have in a double door freezer fridge. Only downfall is that even the though the shelves are adjustable, with the the shelves in, you cannot fit large drink containers properly. You have to basically have to tilt the drinks sideways or adjust one of the shelves to the point you can barely fit anything in the shelf you just adjusted below the drink shelf. You do loose the side storage on this fridge compared to a double door fridge. The other features make up for that. Besides that it's been great!

I am 5' 2", and can reach the top shelf all the way to the back of the refrigerator. I was made to believe that a 28 club foot refrigerator would fit our needs. But I found that bigger isn't better, it was deeper and higher. The top shelves were out of reach for me. I do have concern over the door closing, at this time I must personal make sure they close. Perhaps there is some adjustments needed to be made?

Lots of bright room due to ice container located on the inside door. Especially like the large pull out door for creative space of storing. However the ice storage seems extremely small for our family. When. We first got the refrigerator the ice machine wouldn't operate much at all. Tried everything and finally called our dealer who said these units were coming in with defective filters. I changed the filter and no longer have any problems. I would like for the plastic bins and parts in the freezer to be a little more sturdy or stronger plastic. I wouldn't complain if the words on the front of the water/ice showed up better. Overall it's a pretty good unit.

Failed within 3 months...

If we had known this fridge would have failed within 3 months of moving in we would have bought our own instead of going with the builder set. Everything was working fine and then the water stopped working with the ice maker and then everything started melting. The next day we had to throw out hundreds of dollars worth of groceries and then had to eat out for a week (originally it would have been a month with the original technician repair date), so we were out hundreds of dollars. And apparently this one has a recall on it and the builder didn't let us know. We were having problems initially registering it online after we moved in and it took us longer to get that and a few other items registered. In the future we will be buying from a local appliance store and not a GE product.

Reasons why I chose GE, previous one was a GE we were happy with. It was on sale and was more affordable than the competition. It had both water and ice dispenser in the door. It allows more space for taller bottles to fit comfortably. The freezer has a large capacity and has a divider that slides to adjust for size of items and a top drawer to better organize content. New style. Inside the fridge, you can also put large servers with ease.

Stopped working after a month

I really like this refrigerator but did not notice at the store that it did not have a butter storage compartment and did not have an egg container. Great looking refrigerator. It is noisy compared to my last one.

Freezer already having issues

Not happy at all. The refrigerator is less than a month old and already having major issues. Ice building up and won't stop running. Getting repair service has been impossible so far as well.
