First the good, love the slate color. Looks great. I hate the interior of this refrigerator. This unit has a bigger refrigerator side, but smaller freezer side. As for the refrigerator I hate that there is not enough shelving on the door. The refrigerator itself only has two lower drawers. There is no smaller drawer to put cheese, deli meat, smaller items. I hate this set up, I like my other (Not GE) refrigerator much better. There is not enough shelving. It does not have enough slots to move the shelving around. It would be nice if they had an optional part to buy to add a shelf with a small drawer under it. I like my things organized and hate that I have to leave items out in the open. Now the freezer, I HATE THE FREEZER. My other unit (Not GE) was so much bigger. It made ice so quick. Apparently the design team did not test this unit with actual items that people use. I can't even imagine a family of four using this unit. I have no idea where they would put frozen items. First off, forget storing a frozen pizza. A turkey, not happening unless it's under 10 lbs and that will take a whole shelf. The lack of space due to it being so narrow is crazy. Now for the freezer door units, again did the design team even try to store frozen items. Basically the freezer door storage holds ice packs and a very small package of vegetables. I don't know what the design team was thinking when they made such a small freezer. My old unit had a nice plastic storage bin at the bottom to hold items, (worked great to store meat) this unit has a crappy wire basket which has little height and holds very few items. I cannot use it for meat items as every time you open the door packages fall out and on to the floor. I basically use it to store a few bags of fries, etc.. As for meat I currently have it on the shelving, but it is not easy as you can't block the vents in back. I deeply regret not taking more time to actually find instore models to view prior to purchase. With Covid, store inventory is low in my area and not easy to find display units. I regret buying this online. At this point, I will have to make it work. If you are a family of more than 3, this is not the unit for you. They say it has a bonus freezer shelf. Bonus shelf is so small, if you need to shut the ice maker off, you have to remove the items and the shelf to get to the on/off button. I don't know how a family could possibly store a week's worth of food in this freezer. I will now need to buy a separate freezer unit to store additional items.
