Smaller frog than I would have wanted, but may move in 5 years, and thought I'd leave all appliances. So far so good, just a few days in. Does make more more noise for longer than my old early 90's frig. Ordered online, and freezer area bigger than I was expecting. Have to get used to upper freezer again, since my old frig was a side by side.

Shockingly Loud

Due to pandemic supply chain constraints and the design constraints of my kitchen, I had a limited number of models to choose from. The distinguishing characteristic of this fridge is how loud it is, it's louder than the 25 year old fridge it replaced. On the plus side, it came up to temperature quickly, it's roomy inside, and the door bins are great. The lack of an ice maker is a plus for me, I think ice makers are a waste of space. But boy is it loud. Kudos to GE for making a more compact and accessibly-priced fridge for folks who can't afford or whose kitchens can't accommodate a "trophy fridge," but I'm surprised they'd put their name on a model where the engineering leaves so much to be desired.

Louder than expected

Overall for the money it's a good fridge, smaller than photos made it appear. According to the manual it will make odd noises when it runs and it does and it runs a lot which is also normal. Looks like a crack may be starting in the freezer if it continues I will contact dealer.

Thermostat control not operating

There is only a single thermostat control for both freezer and refrigerator. Even when set at 'coldest' the freezer often doesn't register 0 (usually more like 10), while the refrigerator registers 30 or below.

This is a secondary refrigerator that we keep in our basement. We use it for sodas, drinks, and extra room. It comes especially handy during the holidays and parties when you have a lot of food that needs to be refrigerated. This is replacing an old fridge that we had for over 20 years. This refrigerator works reasonably well. It took two or three days to reach the correct temperature, even when set to 4 instead of 3. The freezer and the main section cannot be controlled independently. Moisture condenses on the glass shelves, even though my home is air conditioned in the summer. An extra shelf would be helpful.

The thing works well. It cools them down and the freezer freezes stuff. Seems to run a lot. Quiet though. Maybe it has optimized current draw versus run time. It seems to roll easily, so I'll have to block the wheels. Pulling on the handle will roll the fridge instead of gaining access to the inside. Not bad, but I'll have to get used to pushing on the freezer handle with my thumb while opening the door to stop the roll. It may be that a loaded fridge will inhibit the rolling. I really only use it to freeze ice cubes. (And an occasional beer)

Bad thermostat

When delivered, the control had to be turned all the way to "5" - the highest setting - to get it to control in the safe range, as measured by a refrigerator thermometer. We left it set at "4" for days but it wouldn't cool below 40 degrees. It seems capable of operating at a proper temperature, since it only runs for about 10 minutes out of an hour. A service man came out and concluded that it needed a new thermostat. We're still waiting for installation of the thermostat.

because we have severe size constaints, it was nice to find a product that not only fit our space but allowed us to have an increase in capacity. we like the lighting and the glass shelves as it seems to make it easier to see what is inside. our only issue has been hitting our head on the freezer door when getting something out of the refrigerator portion as the depth of the doors is deeper than our previous appliance.
