Nice update to the basic top freezer regrigerator

The Slate finish and black cabinet of this fridge looks great. The glass shelving through the entire unit even in the freezer are nice. The clear bins are great for seeing everything. The led Lighting is good and the Freezer is cavernous...so much room in a 19 cubic foot unit. The NEGATIVE is that the freezer is so large you have to bend extra to grab things out of the fridge. I am six feet and I cannot see what is on the top shelf. The door hold so many things but my unit arrived and the door sagged so much I was unable to close it. This was a new unit. I decided to return it and get a bottom freezer fridge. The stove I got to match also was sent without a glow bar for the bottom oven so there are some manufacturing issues to be aware of. GE appliance repair is awesome and they did fix the issue with the stove in a few weeks.

Have not had long but I like the look of this refrigerator. I like the space you have on the doors. Had issues with the delivery on first refrigerator. It came damaged. I did have a few knick's on the freezer door at the top. Not happy about that but do not want to go through what I went through with the first refrigerator.

Our first arrived dented and the installer did not bother to balance the door, assuming a replacement would arrive soon. Four months later it's here and we are delighted. Door perfectly balanced even heavily loaded. Getting old so we don't like having to bend so far, but there was no option of a smaller freezer space above. Shelves sturdy & easy to clean; easy to move if wanted. Don't really like that it's a steel front on a black case: the two-tone effect is rather '30s golf shoe; but immaterial to purpose. We learned not to put the top shelf too high: stuff near the blower froze, and setting anything at the front blocked the light, darkening lower shelves. Hoping it's our last fridge for a LONG time! Very pleased so far. Though the bits of plastic sheeting between body and handles are truly annoying and hard to tweeze out!

Last fridge was a GE that was 30-40 years old, but freezer was manual defrost and last time it took almost a week to get down to proper temp after defrosting. Have only had this one two weeks but couldn't be happier. Besides food, we store some vaccines in it and maintaining accurate temperatures is critical. This model has separate temperature controls for both freezer and refrigerator sections and it consistently maintains plus or minus two degrees, or less, of what we want in both sections. Interior layout is also a huge improvement over the ancient one. The light gray color also seems to have been a good choice. Some reviews have talked about excessive noise, but we don't find that to be the case at all. Hopefully it'll last at least half as long as the old one.

On first impression the refrigerator sits down so low to the floor. You have to get way down to access most things in the fridge. Really rather odd! Accessing the bottom shelf on the door is almost impossible since its inset so far into the door. Lots of freezer space shame there wasnt more fridge space. The whole fridge sits too low. Come on GE is this your first fridge???

This refrigerator has great storage as well as in the door. The freezer is roomy even with the ice maker. Originally we were replacing appliances with stainless steel as they bit the dust. We found out very quickly that our handicapped son's fingerprints showing were an issue so…. When we went to replace the refrigerator I saw this flat grey/taupe color I hoped this would work. The fridge was hard to find in the size that fits our kitchen but finally got it.

This appliance replaced another from a different manufacturer that failed after only 3 years. The interior and exterior of the refrigerator including the freezer are well designed and provide ample space for our groceries. We finally settled on this refrigerator after spending months researching and reviewing what refrigerators were available that could guarantee function across a wide temperature range. GE was the only manufacturer that we found in the United States that currently offers such a guarantee of 38 to 110 degrees.

We are very satisfied with our new refrigerator. We had a nice french door style refrigerator from another manufacturer that had mechanical and hardware failure 5 years after purchase. In an attempt to save money we decided to replace it with this top-freezer style from GE. To be honest we were bummed to be "down-grading" to this older, simpler style. However, we actually very pleased. It makes good use of space and seems to built very solid. We're enjoying it, and really like the look of the slate finish in our kitchen. We were worried it would be too dark, but it really looks nice. We ended up purchasing the matching microwave as well. Looking forward to using these appliances for years to come.

Great Garage Ready Fridge!

Just purchased this "garage ready fridge" since friends of ours also purchased one earlier this year. It's a perfect size in the garage for extra drinks or food as needed. I'm hoping it keeps the temperature just right when the garage is super hot or cold. Our garage is insulated and drywalled, so that probably helps too. Bright LED light in fridge part. The freezer has no light, but we only store ice packs, frozen plastic beer mugs and frozen plastic wine glasses in there, so no need for a light for us. Also, no ice maker, but again, we did not need one in this fridge. Stainless steel looks pretty fancy for our garage and was a little pricier vs other fridges, but it looks pretty sweet and we like the idea of the "garage ready" feature.

Very happy with this refrigerator/freezer and it is very quiet. I love the fact that it is garage ready and has plenty of room in the freezer section. Really like the LED interior light.

Classic look that match the classic fridge

Due to spacing in the house, we have to buy a classic-style fridge. The fridge looks great and works great so far. The drawer in the middle of fridge can slide left or right making it flexible. My only complain would be the weirdly-indent bottom shelf on the door.

The color is perfect for my remodeled kitchen. Does not show fingerprints. Works as expected. Plenty of room in the refrigerator and great size top freezer.
