Love this fridge but.....

Am very happy with the looks of this fridge, love the black slate.. have ge black slate micro, stove and fridge. I have only had it a couple months and the motor/compressor seems much to loud. I know some said it does run a little louder but it has noticeably gotten louder in the last month. Have a a service call in and hoping they can figure it out as I do love the fridge itself.

Nice refrigerator and it is garage ready. The freezer has plenty of room to store your items. Purchased this at Costco Wearhouse so we had to bring it home and do some minor installations to prepare it for use. This did save $. We like everything about it so far. One negative is there is no light inside the freezer compartment.

This refrigerator is the loudest thing. Our old one was noisy but this new one gives it a run for the money in the noise department. Have to turn the volume on the TV up . It works good and is nice not showing up finger prints.

I love this refrigerator! Though it isn't apartment size generally (I was told later), I had the baseboard in my kitchen removed to accommodate it. It was a perfect fit and is very nice. I enjoy how spacious it is, how everything is evenly cold and it's upgraded looking while still being a basic refrigerator/freezer. It was a great deal for the price and I'm glad to have it. I know it's a good brand and I imagine it will hold up for a long time.

I bought this refrigerator to replace a failing french door model (not GE) and thought I'd miss the french doors. I do not and find the extra room inside just wonderful. It fit's my kitchen perfectly and the finish is really nice. Great color, no fingerprint finish. Goes really well with exisiting SS appliances.

Condensation problem resolved by GE Factory Servic

This is a follow up to my initial review. We had a problem with condensation in the refrigerator and some frost in the freezer. GE suggested we call their service dept. They came out and removed both doors and re-installed them properly and also took a hair dryer to the door gaskets to soften them up and expand them. The doors seal much better now and we have no frost or condensation. I don't know why the doors weren't installed well in the first place. I'm assuming they were factory installed. Perhaps though it is a problem with the retailer (Home Depot)? So everything seems fine now.

This line of refrigerators and its color options nothing short of awesome. Garage rated meaning it can be in a non temperature controlled environment and still operate. It is less affected by ambient room temperature due to more insulation throughout. That's a good thing even if it's not in my garage. It is a simple no frills design with lots of room. I was forced to purchase a refrigerator in a hurry due to a power surge and was unable to get the color or brand that I wanted due to the pandemic. The GE model I purchased was nicer than expected, very spacious with lots of built in storage/organization. I down sized from a side by side and this has less cubic feet but doesn't feel like it. The only thing I would have preferred was a different color to match existing appliances (black) but it like many other options and models were back ordered several weeks and in some cases months. I have had it about a month now and I love it. My only complaint is that its a little loud when running (im assuming those are the fans) but I would still recommend and repurchase again from this brand.

I love the look of it much more than stainless. It's easy to clean. The refrigerator part is small. Drawers are small. Freezer is huge but the shelves are very narrow so ice cube trays can't fit. They are deep so good for other things. It's very quiet.

The intent of buying this fridge was for one that could fit our family of 5 needs. It surely does that. The spacing was a little different but we are figuring it out. The freezer is great at freezing we learned that we should expect it to freeze better (we rented with not GE) this is our first fridge and it played in all way awsome. I rated it a 4 not 5 due to I think some how it still can get better. Also it was a little pricey. The other biggy was as a mom and needing to open it alot I need have a certain type (I get a rash from stainless still and few other things.) Well it was perfect. Also the person who helped us find it was great he found every question and this was the fridge he said had it all.

Purchased this item based on availability in a time when the US looks more like Venezuela. Needed to replace a 20 year old garage refrigerator and this was available on a short wait of 3 weeks. Size, Price and convenience of ordering from Home Depot were factors. Like most new products today this is much lighter and tinny sounding when closing the door. It had a few minor dents in it that apparently were factory inflicted as the box and packaging were perfect on delivery. So far it works fine and the temperature controls are accurate. Based on lower expectations for everything we buy today I am satisfied with this product. PS I bought the extended 5 year warranty just in case.
