I'm really enjoying cooking on this stovetop- the grates allow me to move pans freely across the stove, and the burners are great coverage for my pans! The rubber bumpers under the grates prevent scratching the stainless surface!

Sure, it's functional - but WOW, it's pretty. We hemmed and hawed a bit about whether to go with the larger size version or the smaller and I'm very happy that we chose the larger version. I haven't used all 5 burners at once yet, but it's just aesthetically pleasing and makes me feel like a professional chef even though that's quite far from the reality. The unit is very well constructed. The grates are very solid and substantial. The gas lights easily. It's easy to clean without hidden nooks and crannies for food bits to sneak into. I'm very happy with it and would absolutely purchase again. A neighbor chose not to purchase this unit and bemoans that decision every time she visits.

I looked at MANY different cooktops. The layout of the grids sold me on this one. Even my smallest pots and/or pans don't tip over. The grids are spaced well. I've only been coming on it for a few weeks, but so far so good. The versatility of the the different BTU out puts on the burners works great for me.

The product is high maintenance. The stainless steel on the bottom of the stovetop leaves stains and the stains are permanent. After cleaning the stovetop the stains do not come off.

Cheap Knobs

The "stainless" finish on the knobs is coming off and showing the plastic underneath, only 19 days after purchase. I thought I was paying for a quality product that would last.

We are very pleased with our GE Gas Cooktop in our new home. We definitely prefer Gas over electric cooktops and this on fits our needs perfectly with the 5 burners and easily to clean grates.

I love GE products but this stove is not well made. Poor quality; knobs are already melting, the black color from the metal grill is already coming off. The food gets trapped around the stove.

I bought this unit to replace an old and failing glass top unit that came with the house. Though I had to widen the countertop opening a bit the installation went smoothly and I'm impressed with the look and quality of this cooktop. I've had GE products for over 50 years and it makes me happy to know that I can still count on them.

When the time came to replace our cooktop this GE model was our top choice … it fit perfectly into the existing counter top cutout … sitting in front of the GE downdraft the elegance and front controls made cooking now safer … the higher washable grilles is a definite improvement as they never get too hot … the 'power' burners are ideal for our large stock pots … cleanup is a breeze … goes nicely with the rest of our new GE stainless steel appliances …

Has a lot more room on the stove then our old stovetop we were using. Pretty easy to clean but it gets dirty easily. The one thing i do not like are that the knobs are plastic and the metallic paint on them chips. The power boilers on this thing are awesome. This cooktop came with our house

We love the looks and size of this 36 inch cooktop. We upgraded our kitchen from a 30 inch range to this separate 36 inch cooktop. The size is great allowing two large pans along with burners available for smaller pots/ pans. It's easy clean and looks great!
