Slide-out Drawer

We very much like the slide out rack. It is very helpful in pulling cooked food out and back in to the hot oven and it is much safer than the traditional racks. I would suggest that the black finish with the controls be changed to show less fingerprints.

Sleek design and heavy duty racks

The exterior of this oven is very sleek and elegant, and the interior racks are heavy grade, particularly the glider. We have only used it twice thus far, but both the pizza and the roast came out perfect! It is also a very quiet oven, with the exception of the convection fan we used for the pizza, but even it was not too loud only a bit more noticable than the traditional bake.

It will probably be a while before I use the oven, but I really do love the extra space inside for storage. Controls appear pretty straight forward, so I shouldn't need the manual every time I cook. I also appreciate that the roll-out racks were pre-installed. Would like the option to tone down the clock light's intensity at night, but that's a very minor quibble.

All the time I spent researching ovens has really paid off (so far). I'm delighted with this oven and I haven't begun to use all the features yet. Most importantly, it maintains exactly the right temperature throughout the cooking process (I have an oven thermometer to verify this). Everything I have baked or broiled has come out perfectly so far (haven't used the convection feature yet). I was hesitant about buying another GE oven at first. I have used many GE products over my 50 years of marriage and have always been happy with their products. But my previous oven was an exception. After about 3 years of use it became erratic. After much research I concluded that the problem was due to overheating of the control panel from using the self clean option. That's one reason I selected this oven - it offers a steam clean option. I never intend to use the self clean option again. So far I have been keeping this oven clean by wiping it down after cooking any greasy foods (e.g., roast chicken). Another reason I selected this oven is that it is very similar to my old GE model. There was no learning curve. Even though I was familiar with the controls, I think this oven would be very easy for anyone to use. The control panel is very intuitive and unobtrusive. You just need to touch it and it lights up and stays visible as long as you are using the oven. When not in use, all you see is the time. The controls respond easily to your touch but they are not overly sensitive. They do not go off automatically if you come to close to the oven which is apparently a complaint about some ovens. I also like the new timer alert. It is much more quiet than the old buzzer, but issues a much more pleasant musical note. I don't find it too quiet even if I'm in another room. However, my hearing is very good so I imagine it could be a problem for someone who is hard of hearing. Another plus, the viewing area is much larger and the oven light is very bright. I can easily see everything in the oven, even items under the broiler. Even if I never use some of the other features (WiFi access, temperature probe), I am delighted with this oven and hope to have it for many years.

the control panel locks during baking after i open the door to check the food i think the steam goes on the control panel and locks it. it turns off the whole oven and i need to start over again

I had our old wall oven replaced in March with this model. I like that it can do convection or standard baking. Oddly I really like the fact that when it's not active, the only thing you see is the time. Otherwise it's totally black. When it's activated, then all the options appear, but they are hidden otherwise. I really like the clean look of it. Also, I did hook it up to our Wi-Fi and I can ask our Alexa to preheat the oven while I am busy with something else. It even notifies me on my phone when it's reached the target temperature! Little things I'd never think about are now saving me steps and hassle. Gotta love that! Very happily pleased. Hope it lasts a good long time.

I love the wifi connectivity and how it works with Alexa and Google voice. Makes it easy to set temperatures, cooking modes, timers, etc. The internal probe is also a big plus if you do extended cooking for meats.

I had no idea that so many great features were available on an oven! I love the 'smart'connect so I can preheat from my phone. Also love the amazing smooth glide of the shelves. The numerous curves of the broil element does a great job of broiling evenly. Just love it!

Oven is stylish. I like that the controls are not always visible because it gives the outside a clean look. The unit itself is much better insulated than our old one. It takes longer for it to preheat, but when I put food in the oven, I know it is up to temperature. I used the convection feature on our Thanksgiving turkey and it was done in record time and was delicious! Cooked perfectly throughout. So glad we bought this new unit!

Our old wall oven stopped heating and the part that failed was no longer made for it. I looked at many reviews and kept coming back to the GE 30" Smart Wall Oven. The ratings/reviews were good and the reliability of GE products is also good. This oven had all of the features I needed and more. I did not need the smart feature of being able to control it through a smartphone app but now that I have it, I like that ability alot. Best yet, my wife loves it.

Great oven, shelves need redesign

I love this oven, but the shelves are difficult to pull out and push back in. When you are baking a pie, the filling can slosh, because the shelves don't slide well. I think ovens at this price point should come standard with a roller rack.
