So far I only have 2 complaints and 1 of them is minor. First, the mounting bracket came bent in the box and the corner by the door hinge as well. Luckily both were fixable ourselves. The second is that the buttons push a little hard.

This microwave has all the features we need and not bells and whistles that I will never foresee using. Easy to use and don't need an engineering degree to make it work. Only drawback, it does not smudges easily. Other than that, love it!

Frustrating quality anymore

Most likely my last GE appliance. Microwave control overlay is bubbled as if installed by an absolute amateur. You will not notice through all the packaging tape is removed AFTER it is installed. The range was a several month fight with the smell of gas, finally after 3 repair visits with numerous parts replaced, the ENTIRE manifold was replaced! This is natural gas leaking from the factory manifold. QC is obviously an unmanned section of the factory anymore.

I love that it doesn't have a handle on the door. With my other over the range microwaves the stove made the handles so hot that it melted I am still learning all the little functions but so far they are wonderful. I love the sleek look and color of the black stainless.

The capacity is not what's advertised

Had same item and because of problems gave it another try. Unfortunately, what I received seems from outside the same but instead of a 2.1 cu ft cavity it only came with a 1.375 cu ft cavity. Product specs on web page: Total Capacity (cubic feet) 2.1 cu ft Cavity (W x H x D) 23-5/32 x 10-5/32 x 15-3/16. What I got is (W x H x D) 19 x 9.25 x 13.5 Total Capacity (cubic feet) = 1.373 cu ft. Not what was advertised and cannot be returned/exchanged.

Love the microwave but it came without a manual and the website for finding information is really, really difficult to find answers. Called support and they said there is no support for such calls, would have to have a repairman come out. After 30" of searching finally found the answer and it definitely did not need a repairman. Product is good, support is not.

Failed after a year

Loved the microwave. It looks amazing but it failed after 14 months. It started shorting the breaker and now it is dead. I have a GE repair tech coming so will see what they say. I have had 2 GE microwaves since we built the house and they both were good for 7-8 years so this was a little disappointing.

So far so good. The microwave is quiet and works flawlessly, but it is way too early to give an honest review as we've only had installed for 2 months. Our original GE Profile items purchased in 2005 served us pretty well so we'll only purchase GE Profile products until proven otherwise.

Large microwave fits a lot!

I like the microwave, it fits a large pot to boil water, or to make iced tea. However, the "Chef Connect" feature does not work with the profile Range. Very disappointing as it will not stay connected. We purchased this in order for the light and the fan feature to automatically turn on while cooking on the range.

The first microwave I received did not work. I hung it above the range per the directions and with the door closed (I opened and closed it several) it displayed please close the door to turn the microwave on. I exchanged it and the new model does run but the Chef Connect feature doesn't work. I've been escalated to level two support and have been waiting for a call from them for over a week. I know it's a minor feature but I expect every feature to work.

Product itself looks good and has lots of features. It also works great, when it works but we ate on our third one in as many years. The second lasted only 6 months and the current one, a warranty replacement, is already making Strang noises. I don't expect this one to last much longer so I'll let the warranty replace it again. Our first GE Profile lasted over 10 years. Disappointed.

Love the wifi features. When synced with the GE compatible range, the fan and work light can be set to turn on automatically upon lighting a burner. So awesome. The fact that it doesn't have a handle is also nice. It's easier that way to keep the exterior clean and free of fingerprints. Definitely recommend this product.

door sensors

The door sensor has been shutting down the microwave. The replacement fuse keeps costing us over 100$ a pop since the microwave has to be taken down and opened up by a appliance tech. I feel when I paid over 600$ for a microwave that it should work properly.

Microwave very easy to use. I especially like the preset features. For example, you press the #1 button and it automatically heats for 1 minute. Another thing that attracted me to this model is the fact that the handle is an inset.

small plastic parts broken quickly on vent door and on control panel. moisture gets into control panel, happened twice cooking pasta, finally shorted controls 13 months. No backlight behind buttons so you have to have a light on to see them.

This microwave is so nice I hate to let my husband use it! I'm short, I've always tip-toed or grabbed a table chair to set the controls over the range on the microwave. So when I saw this microwave, I had to have it im my kitchen make-over! It's got so many features! I plan to actually cook something in stead of re-heating or cooking popcorn! And I love the light over the range and the vent fan is really nice, 3 levels for the fan and it blows out over my head!

The microwave looks great and seems to be a quality product. We're not used to owning a microwave but it works well to heat and clear the byproducts of cooking on stove underneath. One minor item was the small scratch near the top that was likely during manufacturing or shipping that was only apparent after the blue plastic was pulled away.
