Super quiet!

This dishwasher is so quiet we can't tell when it's running without placing a hand on it to feel for vibrations! It is amazing! The only improvement we would suggest is a running light so we can see if it is running from across the kitchen.

We purchased this dishwasher when we were remodeling our kitchen. The old one worked but we wanted to start fresh in the new kitchen. It is so quiet that we have a hard time hearing if it is on or not. It seems to do a better washing job on our dishes than the old one so we are very glad we decided to replace it. I highly recommend this unit.

Great but strange sound design

All our dishes get clean with this nice dishwasher. The only complaint we have is that it beeps whenever you open and close it EXCEPT after you press the start button and close it, in which case it does not beep, so you don't know if it started or not. Also it is strange there is no way to tell whether the cleaning is done or not. So the communication functionality of this diswasher is off.

Our original DW of another make suffered a major electronic failure much too early in life to lead us to replace it with the same brand. Bosch has the highest ratings; the price was very reasonable and the unit works beautifully. I like the simplicity of design which bodes well for longevity.

We bought this dishwasher because it received excellent ratings from Consumer Reports. We've had it for about 3 months and it's working very well. The only negative I can think of is that it's difficult to tell when it is done - the only way to know is the chime/beep at the end of the load, and that only works if you happen to be nearby when it finishes. It's also a little confusing to get it to resume a load if you accidentally interrupt it.

This dishwasher is very quiet and cleans the dishes very well. It has plenty of wash settings to choose from. My only complaint is that it can be hard to tell when it's done washing. It beeps when it's done, but I'd prefer a notification light that's easily seen.

The dishwasher works well; it should since it's a Bosch. The short cycles are worthless. I realize I purchased the "lower" end model but it would have been nice if even the base model had an info light to show you when the wash is done.

The Bosch Ascenta is hard to load. NO obvious place for cereal bowls that aren't perfectly round, for example. Can't tell when cycle finished, as I've never heard beep or seen red light. Also, prefer a more open cutlery holder, so don have to fit forks, etc. into tiny slots. Would prefer outside controls, so they are visible when door closed. On the other hand, dishes do get clean.

Generally cleans well. Sometimes it doesn't start for some reason. Doesn't dry out between washes (once each evening). Disappointed that I can't get a manual for my specific model (online only a manual for the series is available). Called to request manual, was sent the same series manual.

Very disappointed with this dishwasher.The tines don't line up,the flatware baskets do not fit properly.One basket snaps on,the second one pops out of place.Overall poor design.The glassware comes out cloudy and dingy looking.I use the recommended detergent and the jet dry.Neither of these helps at all. The entire tub is dripping wet at the end of each cycle.The only reason I gave three stars is because it is very quiet and it looks nice.

A well-designed Dishwasher that cleans really well

This dishwasher replaced a Maytag washer that lasted only eight years- first, the electronics failed, as it became increasingly difficult to set up the machine cycles, then the wheels guilding the lower rack fell off, then the washer, while operating, made loud noises. So we diecided to replace this with a Bosch Ascenta dishwasher, based on friends' comments as well as praise in leading consumer publications. After a months' ownership, we were glad we got this washer. Thus far it has proven to be easy to load, including the well-designed utensil baskets, flexible basket tines on both levels, and the items load securely. We did note that the washer consumes a lot of rinse agent fluid. We like the dedicated on-off switch, so at the end of the cycle, the machine can be completely turned off. We tried the Normal and Auto Clean settings. We found that either one cleaned especially well, including baked on food on our baking dishes, and stubborn stains on our large pot. At first, loading the racks was a learning curve, but the diagrams in our manual proved helpful. The dishwasher is generally quiet. Our hope is that this excellent appliance lasts longer than our previous machine did.

I put off buying a new dishwasher but after my old one started sounding like a jet taking off I decided on the Bosch Ascenta. Wish I had done it sooner. Loading is a breeze, no heating element on the bottom to worry about, silverware is nicely separated and no pre-rinsing. It's a dream and quiet.

After reading all the positive reviews of Bosch dishwashers, I bought my first one as part of my new condo renovation. Now I can add to those positive reviews. It runs so quietly, I thought at first that it wasn't working. I was used to pre rinsing my dishes before putting them in the dishwasher, but I took a chance and can report that even dishes with hardened on egg and melted cheese come out squeaky clean. I bought two dishwashers this year strictly because of its reputation. But I'm not really happy with their (non) service, starting with their discontinuation of the (hard copy) manual. So it's more important to "go green" than to give their customers clear and accurate information about their product that I just paid more than a week's salary for. And you can't even offer a manual?? Second, my first Bosch smells like a dead rat was caught up in its motor since the day I bought it. Tried vinegar, baking soda, professional dishwasher detergents, and so far, nothing has worked! I'm waiting for a service man to come out and try to find the origin of the problem. Plus the sanitize button does not work. I am awaiting a separate technician for that as well.

The dishwasher looks sharp. I like the controls on the top. It's easy to operate. What I really like most is that it does not have a heating coil on the bottom to dry the dishes. This means you can put plastic wear on the bottom. My only gripe is the silverware baskets; when using two they attach oddly to the wire racks and have to sit at a slight angle. Overall, a great machine that I'd definitely buy again.

Good dishwasher that cleans well, but end cycle notification (noise) is hard to hear and there are no lights/indicators to notify the end of the cycle. Also not as spacious as thought (we had a Bloomberg dishwasher that seemed to have more space). We do miss the third rack on this well. But overall cleans well!

This is so quiet that I often forget it's running which is the main reason I chose to buy it. However, I can't tell when the cycle ends unless I hear the beeping and it only shuts off after I push the "off" button. The most annoying thing about it is the racks which must have been designed for a specific set of dishes and pots because mine just don't fit easily without falling over or taking up more space than they did in my previous dishwasher which was much easier to load.

After having to scrape and rinse (read: wash) the dishes first with our old dishwasher, I am delighted to say that rinsing really isn't necessary. The dishwasher is quiet and efficient. My only complaint is that there are no lights on while it runs so sometimes it's hard to tell when it's done without opening it. But that's also a testament to it's quiet noise level. First world problems, right? The shelves are laid out with lots of options for assorted size and shape dishes. The top rack is easily adjusted for occasional tall stemware. Oh, did I mention it WASHES DISHES?

This appliance is a disappointment. The whole thing feels cheaply made. The rolling rack and silverware trays are especially low quality. The machine is so noisy. Why does it need to beep so loud when it's finished? I detest using this appliance and we are going to put it in our rental and look for something else.

Very dependent and efficient I use it five times a week and I've had it for 15 months with no problems and it cleans very well. If I could make one change to the product however I would have put the button controls on the front and not top of the door so that you can see if the machine is currently in operation a few times I have forgotten that the machine is operating and I open the door no big problem just a little anxiety inducing and then trying to figure out which buttons to hit to restart the washer

Had to replace our 10 year old dishwasher after we couldn't fix it and saw that this model has very good reviews. It's extremely quiet and efficient but I am not a fan of the internal setup. The silverware holders don't seem to seat properly on the drawer. And I didn't realize the rack fingers were setup at an angle, where it's seems to waste space as opposed to fingers that point straight up. Otherwise, a great machine.

Dishwasher was easy to install. I loved the multiple wash cylcles especially the fast wash cycle. My only issue was the missing operational manual. Only a a quick guide operational manual was included. Customer service did mail a copy of the manual since a download on Len was more than 40

I have been a fan of Bosch dishwashers for many years. When I purchased appliances for our new construction home, I knew I wanted Bosch. 3-1/2 years later, the dishwasher continues to impress. It is very quiet, cleans great, looks great and is reliable. My gas range is also great and I have no problems. Their over the counter microwave has had several issues and I am replacing it with a different brand. The refrigerator began having a problem this week. I will most likely replace it and will choose a different brand. The reliability of the microwave and refrigerator is sub-par, but I remain a fan of the dishwasher!

I can't say enough about the performance of this dishwasher. It does a fantastic job. The instructions that came with it are somewhat incomplete and confusing. Went online and found very good instructions. Buyers should know you will have to buya $20.00 kit to inerface with the drain.

Quiet, sleek, efficient. Would be good to somehow see the buttons. Mine are tucked under the kitchen table when you close the dishwasher door. Which keeps it sleek, but means you can't see the status. Perhaps an app would be good.
