Brand new dryer First used drum will not spin

Finally was able to hook up my new Washer and dryer. I washed the first load and put it in the dryer. Started the dryer and it just wouldn™€™t go. Started to notice that the drum would move about three or 4 inches and then stop. Did it twice and then finally just acted like it shut down. About 30 seconds later the lights would all come back on like everything was fine. Tried a second time same thing happened.

It's only been a week but all is going well so far. I like the lint clam shell basket since it seems to have fire surface area to trap the lint. Overall it's a bit loud but seems to work as it should.

Had a whirlpool from 1997 and it started eating clothes and toasting them. Long life for a dryer. Electrolux doesn't eat or burn clothes and is great at fluffing things up, the steam feature is good for smoothing out work clothes, and the lint screen is a clamshell that catches all the lint where the old one was a lint cannon.

Replacement dryer

I love this machine and so am choosing to get a replacement but™€¦the replacement is due to an issue with the prior dryer where the steam functionality did NOT stop running even though the cycle had finished. Water therefore filled the dryer. This resulted my utility room flooding and the basement below being impacted.

We had a very difficult time deciding on what washer and dryer to purchase. Everyone kept telling us to get a Speed Queen, which these are very expensive. We are a small family who doesn™€™t get our clothes terribly dirty™€" no farming or construction work. We decided on the Electrolux after reading many reviews and talking with the sales person. We are very happy. The settings are exactly what we need. Our clothes come out very clean and thourougjly dry in a timely manner. The light in the drum is so nice and bright. The lint catcher is easy to clean. Love the steam setting when I forget a load in the dryer. Love that the washer reminds you to clean it! So far. So good.

Perfect swap for previous model, better lint trap

We had an earlier version of this model; the motor died just outside of warranty. Repair tech blamed it on a hair pin that got stuck and did damage over time. Not surprising because the lint trap on the old model was pretty terrible. Most of the fluff and stuff bypassed the catch screen and went straight down into the unit and/or out the exhaust pipe where it would clog the exterior screen. BUT, this new version has a clamshell lint trap that looks like it will catch just about everything--including any future hairpins. Also, sometimes they tweak the dimensions of new models ever so slightly which is bad news when you're trying to fit the unit in a tight spot. But this one slipped in just where the old one was, no problem.

this dryer has been nothing but trouble!! had a 2 different repair tech's come out 5 times replaced everything in the unit and electrolux still wont replace it. the second tech said it was my fault and that the unit had to have a service clean. have to run it for hours to get anything close to dry. saw all the good reviews and decided to upgrade my older dryer for efficency. the Old one had everything toasty when it was done. had the matching washer that works fine.

I had a LG front loader prior to my recent purchase of the Electrolux washer/dryer. My LG lasted 15 years without issue, I™€™m confident I™€™m going to get the same value/quality from my Electrolux. Loving all the settings and features, fits well in a house filled with teenagers/soccer players and an outdoorsy hisband. Always do much laundry! Very pleased thus far!

Happy I decided to go with these machines. First time with front loaders. Only down fall is the minimum Tim on timed dry is 30 minutes. I was used to being able to choose. I suppose that there are settings I haven™€™t used that might work. Overall I™€™m enjoying using them.

DO NOT BUY! I repeat DO NOT BUY! I wish I could give this zero stars. We purchased this dryer in October of 2024 and have had 2 different repair companies out 4 times and are going on a 5th. They sold us a defective product that they refuse to replace. At this point they have replaced almost everything including the motor! RARELY are motors replaced and only when the unit is heading towards double digits in age. The customer service department has been terrible - they have told us they absolutely will not replace the unit. Both of the repair companies told us that even if the unit is deemed irreparable, Electrolux will then send out a team of its own technicians to continue replacing parts. We haven™€™t been able to use this dryer for half of the time we™€™ve had it! It quite literally sounds like a jack hammer every time we attempt to run it. We™€™ve had to take off work to be home for the repair companies to come out - all for the dryer to still have issues. Save yourself the headache and buy literally any other brand.

This is a great dryer. HOWEVER, the first 2 dryers that were sent were damaged. It took two weeks and a third delivery to receive an undamaged product. Electrolux really should "wrap" the dryers the same way they wrap the washing machines. Saving a few cents with a wrap that doesn't protect the dryer is silly. How expense is it to repair damaged dryers and to irritate your customers?t

Terrible dryer. Makes loud rumbling sounds. Hard to clean (see YouTube). Poor design. Doesn't get hot! Waste of money. Built cabinet over and since it is shorter than all other brands, I cannot replace it as no other brands will fit. Support is terrible. Never worked well from day 1. Spent $500 for "repair" that didn't help.

This dryer is exactly what we were looking for. It will dry comforters in one cycle, and is supper quiet. The steam function is convenient, freshening up cloths that have been in the drawer for to long. There is a mixed load function for the mid week washes.

This dryer takes over 3 hours to dry a small load of clothes no matter what setting it's on. Even on high dry and dry boost. Between PC Richards and Electrolux I have had 5 technicians in my house, parts have been replaced and it's still not drying efficiently and they still won't send a replacement. I am so stressed out it makes me physically sick. $1,000 on a dryer, $300 on a pedestal, $200 on a 5 year warranty plan and literally half of my day to do a load of laundry. I am literally disgusted.

The installers were bad and left a gas leak and installed a fitting backwards when we complained about the gas smell, they told us it was from inside the dryer. the electrolux technician came out she found the problem was in the installation. we replaced the fitting ourself and put Lowes down as a place we will never buy an appliance again.

Purchased this from Colders in Milwaukee and professionally installed. On my third load of laundry, started having vibrations that made it sound almost like the spin cycle of my washing machine, coming from the bottom where the blower motor is. Guess they like to use their customers as a quality control mechanism rather than provide quality products out the door. My second bad experience with Electrolux. Should have known better.
