Recently purchased an Electrolux 600 series gas dryer for my home. It™€™s replacing my 17 year old Kenmore we got from Sears. The dyer is modern. Lots of settings. It™€™s vey quiet and installation was straight forward. We may add the pedestal to get up higher off the ground as you have to bend over far to get clothes out of the back of it.

BIG Learning Curve

The wife of the purchaser here! Have had the dryer for about a month and being just the two of us, the dryer is used maybe twice a week, so the learning opportunities are limited. I am getting better at having items coming out of the dryer dry and not damp, but also not shrunk, which happened the first time I use the dryer. Still need to figure out the steam feature. I appreciate the wrinkle control, towel setting and lint filter location. Should add that our last dryer was 40+ years old and this 70-something needs a bit more time to understand all the benefits of this appliance.

Design flaws - think twice

It breaks my heart to give this dryer a bad review. We love our Electrolux washer and couldn't wait to replace our old dryer with an Electrolux. Big Mistake. There are major design flaws. First, the dry sensor doesn't work unless you have the dryer stuffed. We wondered why clothes either weren't drying or were drying too much. We had an Electrolux tech out and he told us that Electrolux placed the sensor in a strange place. instead of being at the bottom of the door opening, it's @ 8" up the left side wall. So unless you have full load of towels, the clothes never touch the sensor. The tech suggested that we only use the Timed Dry setting (which is where you manually set time, temp and parameters for every load). So basically we have an $1100 one setting dryer.... The second design flaw is that clothes get caught against the glass door and don't dry. It's usually one shirt or one small towel, but it gets trapped there and never tumbles or dries completely. So that shirt or towel ends up wrinkled and slightly damp. If you want a dryer where you manually set the parameters each time, I think there are less expensive ones out there. This has been a big (and expensive) disappointment.

I just got my new Electrolux gas dryer and I love it! It™€™s super quiet, dries clothes really evenly, and I don™€™t have to worry about things coming out damp or overcooked. This unit was purchased due to the store not having the exact model of my previous dryer. So far I've used it once and it's nice and almost matches my Maytag washer. What I don't like is that the storage drawer is made of plastic which cheapens the value of the dryer brand.

WE didn't know that Electrolux made Washers and Dryers until we went shopping for a gas dryer. We had purchased our first Electrolux product, a washer, about 6 months ago and to our surprise it actually washed the clothes, unlike other products.Then in late July our dryer went so we decided to check out the Electrolux dryer and it is working like a charm. Two days after we purchased the gas dryer, the heating element broke. Upon a technician's inspection, it was determined that the appliance needed to be replaced. After two weeks of waiting and not being able to dry our clothes, the replacement unit is finally being delivered today. Making a washer and dryer purchase is a costly expense to say the least. When ours went, we were tasked with finding an economical and trusted purchase. We chose LuxCare based on its reputation as a reputable American company. It offered all of the bells and whistles backed by a warranty. So far, the only complaint is that the drum makes a horrible squeaking sound. We are not sure if this will be covered under the warranty. I will be sure to update my review after contacting the warranty and service department.. Stay tunned.

I had high expectations for this dryer, but it's been a frustrating experience. At just 9 months, it started making unusual noises. When I contacted service, I was told the noise was ™€œnormal.™€ At 14 months (now out of warranty), I reached out again as the noise was getting worse. I paid for a technician to come out, and he reassured me it was fine and to continue using it.A few weeks ago, the dryer started showing an F3 error code. I padi the technician to come out again. He took the entire dryer apart but couldn™€™t find anything wrong. It worked intermittently for the past two weeks, but now it won™€™t run at all and still shows the F3 error.For a premium appliance, I expected better durability and support. It™€™s disappointing to invest in a product that doesn™€™t hold up and can't be fixed.

Therefore when something goes wrong and the Appliance needs servicing the replacement parts are readily available! The performance of the Electrolux front loader, washer and dryer is outstanding. The white clothes are whiter and brighter. The colored clothes come out fresh and clean. The dryer does an amazing job and the laundry basically is wrinkle free upon completion of the cycle. So far so good. Sometimes it greatly overestimates the time it will take to dry when it is using the sensor. It is intuitive to operate and the location of the lint screen is easy for my children to clean which is a bonus.
