The new washer is great - but even better is the Electrolux dryer we bought 22 years ago is still going strong - only 1 service call in all that time and that was because we had never cleaned the exhaust vents!

I like this washer so we bought a second one after the first one lasted only 4 years. Also, the door of the new one won't consistently stay closed so after just 2 weeks I've already had to request a service call. Other than that, I like how it cleans and operates. I've never used the steam feature.

Why I bought a new Electrolux washer

We had to purchase a new Electrolux washer because our old Electrolux washer, that was ONLY six years old had drum bearings that failed and the serviceman said it would cost more to repair than purchasing new one. My wife and I are 70 years old and take good care of our appliances, we were surprised and disappointed that our first Electrolux only lasted six years. The only reason we purchased another Electrolux washer is because we wanted to match the Electrolux dryer ( hopefully this was not a mistake).

The Electrolux Series 500 washer has many features and benefits to producing a great clothes washing-cleaning experience. Set-up was fairly easy and I am impressed with the quiet and limited vibration that comes from the location on the second story. The cleaning results are consistent and I appreciate the door prop feature to air out any lingering moisture. Would have really like to see a drum light for the washer just like the matching dryer. The unit is still fairly new and I would need more operational feedback in order to commit to a higher rating.

The gasket harbors a LOT of moisture. I™€™ve used many different brands and styles of washers and have never had one that required manual cleaning/drying after every single cycle. If you don™€™t thoroughly dry the gasket after each use, you will get an unbelievable amount of mold. Google ™€œElectrolux gasket mold™€ for some pictures. It washes my clothes fine but I would™€™ve never bought if I had known about the mold

We love our Electrolux front load washer (ELFW7537AT) and dryer (ELFE7537AT) combo, both with Perfect Steam. We chose them for their looks, size, and reviews. They not only both look great, but the functionality of each is also superb and exceeded our expectations. For example, the lint trap for the dryer has a much better design than 2 other leading brands of front load dryers that we have owned in the past. Highly recommend this combo.

My dryer broke suddenly and needed a new set asap. Luckily I was able to purchase the Electrolux washer/dryer combo over Memorial Day weekend at a discount. It was delivered a week later after a couple small hiccups with the local delivery company. The actual installation was super easy and the machines are beautiful and work perfectly. It™€™s so nice that my house doesn™€™t shake anymore when I use the dryer! I™€™m very happy with my purchase and plan on installing their stacked set in the ADU I™€™m currently building.

Admittedly, Electrolux is a brand I have seldom heard in the US. After some research though, this is one of the brands I can install wall to wall as long as the front is open. Also, researching the unit gave me positive reviews from reviewers as well as users. Upon using it, it is just full of nice features like lights inside the drum, place to put pods, and different wash cycles based on what we are washing. Overall recommended. :)
