Replacing Old Electrolux Washer

It's been over a decade since we had a new washer, and stuck with Electrolux given the great job the previous washer did. This one does the same quality job cleaning, and the appearance is slick. I have my hesitations about the touchscreen-style power button (no problems yet, just concerns how it will work over years). And with all of the options the machine provides, I have found a couple of times that I couldn't get the right balance of temp/speed/dampness dialed in.

We™€™ve had the washer and dryer a couple of weeks. Seems to clean well. Not a fan of the dryer. Everything comes out so wrinkled. Straight out of the cycle. No lag time in removing items once the cycle is completed. Perhaps we are still in the learning phase. The panel makes both look like there are a lot of options. Lots of presets with limited options. Not worth the money.

45 Days and Still Waiting for Replacement

Electrolux is the absolute worst company to deal with and so is RXO as the delivery agent. DO NOT purchase unless you are willing to wait over 45+ days to receive. We as yet HAVE NOT RECEIVED the washer dryer set purchased in November 2025 and was badly damaged by the RXO delivery team during install on Dec 18. RXO takes no responsibility and told us to contact Electrolux. It is up to the customer to resolve all issues. You will deal with internationally outsourced service throughout the entire process with any problem you have. You will never reach anyone at Electrolux to resolve the problem-. There are 4-5 outsourced agencies throughout the ordering/delivery/service request that all operate independently so there is no backend for anyone to know where your order is or be able to provide accurate current updates. (From manufacturer/ to warehouse/to shipping agent/to delivery team/to all customer service). There is NO ELECTROLUX SERVICE! Once it leaves the warehouse, ownership transfers to the shipping agent. Electrolux is out. Every time you call you have to start all over with explaining the problem and provide the history of the order. I have documented over 7.5+hours with emails, phone calls, and chats. Nothing is resolved. When RXO picked up the damaged Electrolux set our original haul off set (which was operable) was reinstalled. That original washer was damaged during the haul off so is unoperable. It has been 45+ days since I have been able to do laundry for my family. I still have no washer/dryer. Spend the $2500 with GE! Don't believe me? Check the Reddit forums.

I am pleased how it cleans our clothes. Much better than our previous one. I believe it is superior in construction and does a better job overall. Out last one was a deluxe model and was only two years old when it stopped working and the parts and labor were going to be more than the cost of a new one. I would buy Electrolus again and highly recommend!

We purchased another Electrolux washer dryer pair due to our excellent history with a pair that was 15 years old. Both were still working! Replaced a $52 heating element in dryer around year 12. That™€™s it! No issue during the entire ownership. Purchased new pair to update our laundry room with the beautiful Alpine green set. So far the new set works beautifully.

Purchased the pair of 700 series, alpine (dark green) washer and dryer back in February 2025. Purchase and delivery from the local appliance store was a good and they changed the direction of the door on the dryer without issue. Fast forward 9 months and I returned home to water on the floor of the laundry room. Heard water running and the sound seemed to be coming from the dryer?! Looked in the dryer drum and it had an inch of water in it. Remember that there was a steam feature on the dryer. I turned off the water hook up to the dryer and the water stopped running. After cleaning up the spill water, I placed a call to Electrolux to open a service ticket since the unit was still under warranty (less than a year old). Turns out the water regulator, which manages turning the water feed on and off into the dryer, had failed and needed to be replaced. Only after 9 months!?! Thankfully we were home when this happened, our washer / dryer is on the 2nd floor, and we had only several gallons . If we weren't at home, the water could have run and run causing a great deal of damage to our home. Took a couple of days to get the part and the technician did the repair and was in/out in 20 min. Unfortunately, with this part failing and simply letting water spill into the dryer drum and all over the floor, I've decided to forego hooking the water feed back up to the dryer and not take advantage of the Perfect Steam capability. I can't risk a part like this failing again and potentially causing tens of thousands of dollars water damage in my house. To be honest, the engineering on this component seems to be faulty and essentially the regulator fails open versus failing closed. To the Electrolux engineering / design team, you might reconsider the design of this component and ensure that it is designed to fail closed if the part has a problem versus just letting water run unregulated into the dryer.

Our new 700 series W/D from Electrolux were delivered late Saturday- after 6pm.We're anxious to see these new models in action, but the actual installation has yet to take place. These brand new units are now sitting in my garage on Xmas week.These 700 series machines are replacing a previous set of Electrolux, bought 8 years ago.We're hoping these new versions are more efficient & maybe even last longer.....Also, we are definitely going to buy the extended warranty from Electrolux once these get installed.

After researching for a while, I bought this for the special cleaning features, especially the detergent premix, Optic Whites, and the quick 15 minute cycle. Also, I wanted a washing machine that could remove heavy duty stains and sanitize well. So far I love the performance.However it has some imperfections - mostly with the console user interface. The little indicator dot LEDs are WAY TOO BRIGHT! They are like little flashlights an it is annoying to approach the console. I was almost thinking about returning the washer because of the laser-like glare, but then I realized I could cover up the LEDs with dimming stickers (my project for this weekend). The second annoyance is that this does NOT remember the settings that were last used, contrary to what the manual says. I like to use Pure Rinse on every cycle, but I always have to navigate the Options and Select button every time. I wish this could be fixed someday with a firmware update as it would be a time saver to remember the settings. Small items like socks tend to wind up inside the door gasket a lot more frequently than my old Whirlpool washing machine. But that™€™s not as big an issue for me as the two user interface problems mentioned above. Overall I am happy with the washer though, in the end it™€™s all about the cleaning performance and settings versatility which this excels at. The dark green color actually looks more like a dark charcoal with just a slight hint of greenish tint. If the laundry room is darker, the green tint is not even noticeable. It™€™s a very nice color.

Alpine green washing machine series 7

I love my new washing machine and the new Alpine Green color is awesome. It™€™s a very nice subtle matte darker green. The only thing that startled me with my first load was the chime at the end of the load. I had a prior Electrolux washing machine that made that same chime alerting me to an error code coming up with my machine and it had stopped working. It was letting me know to come and check that there was a problem but now that™€™s just the regular chime that says your load is finished so when I heard that for the first time I thought oh no something is wrong already so I just had to get used to that being the normal chime on my new machine at the end of a load. Wish they hadn™€™t used the same chime. Also the door prop that is built in to keep the door cracked open when not in use was a nice idea but it is so hard to pop out and use. At least mine is.

I purchased both the 700 series washer and dryer after a recommendation from someone I trust. The washer doesn™€™t spin the clothes enough ( even on max spin) to get the dampness out better than my old Whirlpool that I unfortunately had them pick up when they delivered the items. The washer cleans everything perfectly™€¦. It™€™s quite a learning curve with the options™€¦ but as soon as they™€™re done spinning, I take them upstairs put them in the other whirlpool that I still have and put them on drain and spin to get the remainder of the dampness out. I™€™m extremely disappointed with this purchase. We™€™ve also had one of their texts come out and he said everything is fine.

We had one set of Electrolux washer/dryer for 10 years. The dryer stopped working and we decided on getting Electrolux again. We are beyond disappointed in this set ( we also have the dryer that matches this washer). We™€™ve already had to have the dryer repaired after a couple of months. The repair worker said to make sure to only put small loads in there. So essentially the capacity the set can handle is incorrect. This is hard because we do a lot of laundry so we got a larger capacity on purpose but we don™€™t overload it ever. We have a two year old and a baby due in a few weeks. The dryer often needs more than one cycle to dry even smaller loads. The washer takes forever, even a small load on quick wash. It shakes horribly when on the spin cycle. You can hear it upstairs because it™€™s so loud. My two year old will hear it upstairs and say ™€œshaking, see shaking™€. We also make sure to keep door and detergent draw open when not in use. We clean it often but clothes still smell musty. We just bought these in March. We know there are great Electrolux products out there (we owned them) but these aren™€™t it. We are stuck with them for now but hopefully someone else might reconsider.

Building a new home and my wife wanted Electrolux washer and dryer. We also purchased the pedestal to go with both and I was hesitant due to past experience installing them on friends appliances, they were a piece of junk. The Electrolux pedestal are sturdy, well designed and clear instructions. The washer and dryer are both great at what they were designed to do, really like the ease of controls and settings. My wife even feels are clothes are getting cleaner and they don™€™t get all twisted up like our LG would.
