beat the Samsung washer it's replacing. So far so good. I like the setting options & ease of use. The door closures feel a little less snap-tight solid than my old Samsung & the detergent dispenser is a little sticky. It's very quiet & I appreciate that. Time will tell.

This is our second Electrolux washer / dryer. We needed a stacked unit for our vacation home. We liked the washer / dryer we had, so decided to get one for our condo. It works pretty much the same as our side by side, so no learning curve. I do wish however that the manual had a better section on error codes and resetting of the onboard computer.

Recently my husband and I moved into a smaller home and realized the wash room didn™€™t have much room. After a lot of research and looking at pros and cons, we decided to go for a stackable unit. Most important was to have the control panel and a normal height. Being from Sweden but living in America for the past 50 years, I had always gone with well known brands from here. This time decided to go back to my roots and go with a Swedish product and I am so thankful I did! Electrolux knows how to build machines!!! It is the BEST washer and dryer I have ever had! Love all the options- washes everything beautifully without haste wear and tear- and is quiet! I will never go back- just wish I had gone with Electrolux years earlier!!! Don™€™t hesitate to purchase Electrolux products as they have been making wonderful products for generations!!

Poor Quality

The dryer started screeching and rattling after 3 loads. On my 3rd tech visit to try and fix this Drum wheels replaced. Didn't fix it.Tech now says it has to with the way the gas line hook up is in the back of the unit. Very poor quality. Do not recommend. Warranty doesn't cover replacement only repair. Hope the 3rd time will fix it.

Water everywhere!

Unfortunately our long awaited tower had a bad start. The day of the delivery we did a few loads and all went well, but I did notice some water in the washing machine after it was powered off. Not thinking much of it, the next morning I opened the door and Surprise, about about 5 gallons of water poured out and into our hallway and two other bedrooms! After sopping everything up, we brought out the fans and heaters and for two days did our best to dry out the areas affected. If you ever hoped that there would be a working door lock it was at that moment. You would think that with todays technology it would not allow me to open the door when the washer was filled with water. Did some research and trouble shooting before calling for a tech to come out. It was quite obvious that the water inlet valve was likely the culprit. So, I called Electrolux for service and explained everything in detail to them and subsequently the repair company (AFIX). Scheduled an appointment, took a day off work, and the tech (Nice Guy) spent two minutes confirming that he needed to replace the inlet valve. "Great, do you have that part with you? No, it will have to be ordered!" Nice, waist of everyone's time and I'll now have to take off from work again. Very frustrated with this process. Hopefully this will be handled in the next visit. Estimated next visit at least one week. Meanwhile the tower sits in our hallway blocking the entrance to one of our bedrooms so that we can reach the water valve and turn it off between loads.

Meet Walter Dwyer, my new Washer Dryer

This so beats the stackable W/D unit as all the controls are right in front of me instead of above my head and angled towards the ceiling.I did a lot of research and comparison of W & D across their specs and their reviews. I read a lot about service, brand reputation for long term service and parts, and details about their bells and whistles. While I was very tempted by the WIFI enabled competition, I could just stick my head down my laundry shoot to know the laundry or dryer was complete in its cycle. The count down timer also helped me ball park how much more time was on the cycle (I didn't have that before). It was quieter than my previous W/D combo, but I could make out that drier was still on.I compared the number of cycle options and the details of time in each phase for each cycle. At the end of the day, one really just uses a few cycles weekly and special cycles on occasion so this set was fine.At the end of the day, it came down to parts and service. In N America, I've experienced problems waiting for parts to arrive from Asia; the dreaded "supply chain issues." Being made in Canada, this won't be as much of an issue. While I don't hope I need repair parts, seals and control panels will EVENTUALLY wear out, so I don't plan on being weeks without Walter Dwyer when that day comes. All in all i'm VERY pleased with the performance and the purchase.

As non tech-saavy seniors, and busy farmers, we couldn't help but be a bit worried about an appliance that has all the bells and whistles. With other such appliances, it's easy just to give up after taking a quick look at a confusing manual and end up using just one or two settings/features. But with the Electrolux Laundry Tower and the accompanying easy to read Use and Care Manual, we quickly learned about many of our options. With the washer, not only the ability to choose temperature, soil level and spin speed, but unique add ons such as allergen removal, stain/soak (with choice of stain type), and perfect steam to help remove tough stains, to name just a few. For its part, the dryer features a number of options for drying temperature, dryness level, and time, but also an amazing wrinkle release option. Both appliances allow you to delay the start of the cycle for a time convenient to your schedule or during off-peak energy hours. We felt confident after quickly browsing the manual to use the Laundry Tower to meet our considerable laundry needs on the farm, but it's worth a further look, as we continue to discover more unique features each read! A final plus: this unit fits into a very tight space (see photo).

I'm loving it. The biggest advantage is that while the washer is gently washing my clothes, the dryer can also efficiently dry another load of clothes, sparing time for me to dedicate to other home activities. All at the finger's reach, with the unified console - I no longer need to be on tiptoes to operate the dryer's control panel. Besides it, the well-known performance remains, the clothes come spotless and almost dry from the washer, needing less time in the dryer.
