Not so great parts and expensive customer service

I have wonned this product for just about three years my last dryer lasted 18 years and I only replaced it because I wanted new appliances. It developed a thump like a shoe was inside it all the time even empty. Not being a person who needs a service call I found research suggesting the wheels had worn out so I called support and found they want a $450.00 deposit for a service call. well nope 3 years and its doing this. So order a service repair kit watch a quick video and wheels are done. but so is noise turns out the spot weld on the drum came apart so now as the seam passes the new wheels it still thumps. So now I have to find an appliance place to get a Drum for this low miles machine.

I bought this dryer and the matching washer about a month ago. I chose LG because of the high ratings on Consumer Reports. It was a good decision. I had been looking at the more expensive models with more features but most of them were things that I dont think I would ever use. This model has more than enough features for basic use. The capacity is huge and can easily handle large items. Also this dryer is amazingly quiet. Even with the laundry room door open I can barely hear it. Drying time is fast and it does an excellent job of removing lint and pet hair. If you are looking for a reasonably priced dryer that can do the job well this is a good choice.

Some Inconveniences

I love my dryer however if its placed on a regular temperature setting it takes more than one cycle to dry. Also after I moved my dryer had to go on the left side. The door opens towards me and cant be switched to open away which is inconvenient and awkward.

Ive only had this dryer for a few days. But so far so good. Things I like so far: the machine seems more compact than our old dryer but is huge inside I like the nice big viewing window. The features all seem easy to understand and use. Ive been using lower temperatures to try to be gentler to my clothes but there still seems to be some dampness at the end of the cycle. So Ill have to play around with settings. It feels like a solid quality built machine. Looking forward to really putting this to the test

Failed after 11 months

The product failed after 11 months with an electrical burning smell. The customer service team took over 20 days to get a technician out to service the dryer. The customer service team failed to tell me to unplug the dryer.

The sensor drying feature does not work. Clothes never get dry using sensor. I called customer service and their idea of a fix wiping the sensor did nothing I am very disappointed

Dont get any LG appliances with Glass

After about two years of light usage the glass door shattered while in operation. Professionally installed never moved and never abused. It was out of the LG initial warranty and under the Costco extended warranty which happened to be provided by LG. Well LG denied the claim because the glass is not a normal failure item but the result of abuse. It took multiple calls to Costco and LG because before I got a warranty rep that listened and created a warranty case. Do your self a favor and stay away from appliances with glass doors or windows.

Defective machine

The Flow Sense light comes on 1/3 through the drying and the clothes do not dry. The Best Buy delivery persons installed a new exhaust hose which was not kinked and the air flow outside was very strong. When the clothes were removed from the dryer I cleaned the dryer screen and noticed what looked like chopped up styro-foam. I called Best Buy and they sent a repairman out and he said the dryer was defective and ordered a new dryer. He said the styrofoam stuff looked like packing material the deliverymen did not remove.

purchased brand new and it never worked which would normally not a big deal by putting in a warranty claim but unfortunately LG has no customer service. All they do is sending useless tips like clean the lint filterbut this cannot apply to a brand new device. SO SAD Will never purchase any LG product any more

Its been 12years since we needed to purchase a dryer. It took a little bit to figure out how the features /controls work but other than that its a great buy. It runs very quiet and the buzzer is more of a melody. I got the size because have a California King comforter and I like to wash it often. I will be washing it this weekend to see how it fits in the dryer but it looks like I wont have a problem. To this point it m very happy with the purchase.

We purchased this dryer for our daughters apartment. We had purchased one a year earlier for our other daughter when she bought her first home and it works flawlessly. The home was empty for almost 3 years so the dryer vent which is almost 12 feet long was home to several creatures. The dryer sensed this and displayed an error code so we able clean the vent and it has worked perfectly. The dryer just purchased is very quiet which is important because the laundry closet is right outside the bedroom door.

So far so good. We did our homework before settling on this one. We have not been disappointing with this dryer. Very efficient it dries your clothes in no time and our electric bill has no experience any adding fees as a result of using the dryer. We were skeptical for there are other brands before LG that we tended to trust more. Unfortunately those brands started to failed in reliability as we experienced and that is why we started shifting our focus on the brand with less repair troubles and for our surprise LG was always on top.

This is a great dryer with lots of options. It seems to be very efficient in the cycles. There is a more expensive model if you want full ThinQ options like remote start this model is limited to ThinQ diagnostics.

I have had this dryer for over a month now and absolutely love it The aesthetics are beautiful Mine is middle black. The dryer is very quiet and does an outstanding job drying clothes. Controls are easy to understand and clothes come out with less wrinkles and lint than my old dryer did.
