Large capacity/dries fast

Bought LG dryer about a month ago with washer. Once I was shown how to use the timer option I love using my dryer. Dries quickly with this option. Very roomy. Not fond of the lint trap as its a little bit of trouble to clean out but getting used to it. All in all very pleased Definitely recommend

Bought this DLE8400WE to match the washer. My old LG combo W/D was over 15 yrs old and I was not satisfied with the seal inside my front loader. I could never get it cleaned always had black spots inside and outside the seal even if I cleaned it out. The smell inside the seal was really bad. The new dryer is really nice. It has electronic keypad and its easy to use. I like the newer update the dust container. We are happy on our purchase. Lg has been a good investment for us. Hopefully they will last a long time like our other combo.

I bought this almost a month ago and had multiple calls with LG telling them the dryer is not heating up but they keep telling me the vent is blocked. I had it inspected and it was free of any obstruction. Seems to me a waste of time with the back and forth calls. Saved time if they sent a technician right away to inspect the unit.

Good Dryer with some cosmetic flaws

I bought the dryer a month ago. Had the dryer replace 3 times because the delivery technicians damaged the dryer while trying to reverse the dryer door at my request. The dryer itself works well. One complaint is the black glass leaves finger marks allot and the controls are difficult to view because the panel is black.

Love the dryer. Super large capacity. Was easy to figure out the settings. The wrinkle care feature does work well and use it all the time. Another feature that l like is the reversible door open the topside when loading from the washer so that the laundry doesnt fall on the floor and open the side way when unloading into a laundry basket.

Disappointed LG Dryer design

The sloping design of the top of the dryer causes anything placed on its surface like clothes and Spray and Wash etc. to fall off the dryer. Very annoying Also the delivery technicians were not qualified knowledgeable on how to reverse the door opening which I preferred. I had to refuse two dryers after attempts by two different technicians failed to reverse the door without damaging the dryer frame screw holes and stripping several screws. I ultimately decided Not to have the door reversed because I had no confidence I would receive the proper installation. Lastly the dark color of the control panel black is a poor design because it is very difficult to see the different settings on the panel. What a poor design from a functional point of view. Aesthetically it looks nice but functionally it is terrible. On the positive side the dryer works well and dries clothes in record time. I have been a loyal LG appliance owner for over 25 years.

This dryer is delightfully large dries just as hoped have only a few questions: why wont the door stay open so I can move clothes from washer with both hands? why is the top slanted instead of flat which eliminates one of my main sorting spaces in my pantry? and most importantly why did I have to call your 800 number in order to get a real operating manual because what comes with the dryer installation is worthless.

Easy to use - Quiet

Purchased matching washer and dryer from LG Store on July 3 2024. In addition used LGs delivery and installation service. I found it interesting that the install crew had to take pictures of the level showing the dryer in balance and a picture of the digital readout showing the dryer operational test was successful. The dryer is very quiet and its efficiency can be checked on LG thinq apps - power usage. Fortunately the door opens the way we need it too and the partial door opening from the top is handy for adding cloths. The dryer operation is intuitive and you just have to find the settings that work for you. So far everything is working great and we really like the set.

My husband and I decided to re-locate after 30 in a home and retire. I needed a handful of appliances and living room furniture after 3 days of outside chairs in the house I had researched and out to town I went. I had passed a Badcock and decided to drop in and browse. Of course first things first I was greeted kindly and told whatever I needed just give a hollar. I must have sat on every couch and chair in there and kept going back to the same set. On my way to get paperwork started and the washers and dryers reminded me that I needed an extra large washer and if course a matching dryer From top to bottom deliveries and service the employees just made a good impression. When they delivered the appliances and furniture a seasoned employee was training 2 young men. Those boys were hands on and courteous no short cuts no shoes inside had cute booties over the shoes. They cleaned up after themselves and even laid a throw rug back on the ground. We were impressed. All of us chatted and an impression was left I would recommend them to family and friends alike. It was a nice touch in a new town.

Great dryer

I bought this a couple of weeks ago . Its very efficient and clothes are dry at end of cycle The door opens to the side and towards bottom . I expected it to open completely toward bottom but its less than half way open . I am not sure how beneficial that is to me .Still new so maybe I will find its purpose .

Feature rich but door dud

Overall I like the dryer from the standpoint of being able to open it from top/down to move items from washer to the dryer more easily. However I do not like the fact that the door when opened from the side will NOT stay open. You need to use your leg or other body part to hold the door open to remove clothes. As far as the features and drying ability no issues.
