Best Dryer ever.

This is my second LG Dryer with the Steam function. This dryer is gentle on our clothes and so quick to dry even a heavy load. The Steam function allows terrific cleaning and freshening capability for an array of fabrics.

Dryer control panel flickers and shuts off machine 3 out of 10 loads. Machine must be unplugged re-plugged and then it begins working again. LG support arranged warranty service. Awaiting part.

I was ready to like this model based on the glowing Consumer Reports reviews. What really stuck with me over the past 3 weeks is how it just disappears. Its quiet and just works. I love the notification on my phone. The old 50-year-old dryer this one replaces sounded like a ready mix concrete truck full of bowling balls. Now I forget its running.

Great when it works

After 23 months my dryer gave a constant D80 message despite the fact that I had the dryer duct cleaned and I clean my filter with every load. My technician recommended by LG called in to LG and they told him I needed a new control panel. He suggested I call LG and request a one time courtesy part since the dryer was only 23 months old. After an hour on hold I was told no they wouldnt give me a one time courtesy. Waited a week for the part to come in. The technician put in the panel and still we got a message. So the problem was not the panel. The technician said he couldnt put my old panel back and return the one that just spent 15 seconds in my dryer because LG wouldnt take returns. So even though LG was wrong about the diagnosis I was out $500 so far. He said my duct must not really be clean and I needed to call the duct people back. The duct cleaner ran the test without the dryer being connected to the duct it still gave the message. Back came the dryer repairman with supervisor. After two hours the machine mysteriously started working again.

I got the washer and dryer set about a week ago and so far so good. Dries as it should and I love that it connects to wifi so that I get notified on my phone when its done drying. The pedestals are a must though Makes moving clothes in and out much easier.

Unreliable control panel

Lasted 20 mins before the control panel buttons stopped responding. Then they started working then stopped again. Turns out the power connectors for the control panel werent connected in properly at the factory. Once fixed by repairman the control panels so far been fine. But my trust in LG products has been lost.

I did lots of research and found this to be the best model for me. It has worked wonderfully and dries the clothes much faster than my 23 year old dryer. It has features that make it easier to select the proper cycle for the load. Storage drawers are bigger and hold lots of items for easy access.

Low quality dryer

I bought this 10 months ago and unfortunately it stopped working after just 10 months. After several time consuming calls to LG unfortunately poor customer service I could make an appointment for a technician to come and see the dryer. While I had a warranty the customer service was like threatening me for paying the charges. Finally a technician checked the dryer and couldnt figure out what was the issue. So he decided to change all the parts one by one to see finally which one is not working. This is not my expectation from LG brand and also from a new product. Technician for the first time placed a part in a wrong position and thought the issue is resolved. When he left I found that dryer still is not working properly so technician came back again and unfortunately one more time he disassembled all the parts. I paid for a new and perfect product but LG gave me a very low quality dryer which made me so disappointed.

Many features that I do not use.

Only one setting sort of works. I have to wash a small load every on the bedding setting .Even then it will show 7 minutes of drying time and a few minutes later it will show 19 minutes left. Soon after it will show 36 minutes. It takes half a day to dry a load of clothes. Towels and sheets end up being damp and I have to hang them to dry. If I try the heavy duty or normal cycle the dryer will run a few minutes then stop showing the d95 code. The dryer was installed correctly the metallic ductwork is not bent or too long and the vent has been cleaned and is lint-free. Would not buy this product again.

This would be my second LG dryer in the last 13 years. I would recommend this product never had a problem and did all for service. My towels get the steam cycle after every used this way I can wash them less often.

Doesnt dry well

I bought this dryer 6 days ago. It does not dry the clothes. I put 5 tshirts in to see if it dried. It did not. Dryer sucks. Regret buying it. Its terrible

Had to replace our prior LG washer since it just stopped working. The new washer is basically the same with a few more settlings and choices that I dont need.

Great Dryer

We bought this when our old dryer died. I bought one that could be delivered quickly. Now that weve used it for a month I really like it. The lint filter is easy to reach and clean The dryer is LARGE and dries everything quickly. I still havent been able to link it to my phone app but cant really see a reason for that anyway.

Still figuring out what works best for my items. Large blankets come out slightly damp and often need a manual setting. The steam option worked great on my curtains and table cloths no wrinkles. Most clothing dries as it should.

Dryer with great features

Bought this late last year and am glad we did. Extremely quiet. Steam feature is a big plus and works well. Dryer has many useful settings that allow you to easily tailor drying temperature length of cycle type load without complicated controls. The user interface is simple and intuitive with easy to read dials which is much appreciated.

Pretty Good Overall

Weve had this new washer and dryer set for almost two weeks now and its pretty good. My only complaint is that the tumble dry low setting for delicates never gets the clothes completely dry so we then need to run it twice. Kind of defeats the purpose of the smart sensor.

We just got a new dryer and replaced an 8 year old LG dryer that was very similar to this one. This dryer is loud with a vibrating/humming noise that stops when I lean on top of it. It drives me crazy. I would have liked the light to remain on when you open the door even if the actual unit wasnt on. If its dark and I dont turn the light on in the laundry room but need to look for something in the dryer or toss a load in quickly the old LG dryer we had would have the light on just with opening the door. I guess this might be an energy-saving thing but it is annoying. I would have liked having the option for the steam care settings to have the basket that pulled out like the other model we had so I was surprised when I saw this one NOT have that. You have to hook it up to the water line and we were not going to go through the hassle of splitting the water line from the washer to the dryer. Had I realized that I wouldnt have bought this model. The picture on the site makes it look like our old model which has a pull out drawer on the left side where you can easily add water to the tray and do it that way but the one we got doesnt have that and looks different on the left side.

We only recently purchased the DLEX4000W but so far its been exactly what we needed. Weve had LG washer/dryers in the past and have been very happy so we expect this will be no different.

I bought the dryer and washer set about 7/8 months ago and my dryer stopped working. Where I live I have had to wait for 2 weeks to get a repair man to fix it. He showed up to fix and he had to order the mother board that runs the whole system. Not happy.

I bought this dryer along with the matching washer a little over a month ago. Am very very happy with both units I had them stacked in my utility room to reclaim some room and although I need a step stool to reach the controls and remove the clothes I LOVE these Its perfect how the lint screen is right is front and fairly easy to remove and replace. The dryer has a light that stays on for a short while so you can be sure to remove all the clothes and the units chime when they are complete It was so funny the first few times after either the washer or dryer had completed its cycle and the unit chimed my dogs started barking at it Its pretty funny. Anyway I would highly recommend the unit I havent used all the features yet only having it for a few weeks but am very happy with the features I have used.

New dryer with great features

I had my last dryer for 34 years. It was good. This new dryer has so many features I really like that it continues to tumble the clothes after drying so they wont wrinkle. I also like the steam feature. It saved me from having to iron my table clothes at Christmas.

Love the washer and dryer as a whole. The fact that it is stackable is even better. or can be used next to each other. All in all I would definitely recommend it to anyone who is thinking about a nice set of washer and dryer combo.

Not sure its that great

I bought this during the summer of 2022 and in the beginning it was good. Within 5 months it stopped drying and all I got was try this troubleshooting and that troubleshooting. It was a nightmare when it was a run around for close to a month to get someone to come and fix it. I only dealt with one liaison that treated the situation with importance and knew it was important to get it handled and she was at the presidential liaisons office from LG. So to wrap this up I am waiting for a repairman to come to fix this thing and I wish I wouldnt have followed the advice at BestBuy that said only LG has techs in the greater Reno area and gotten something different. First and last LG product.

LG Smart Dryer

Love the unit so far. Big upgrade. The steam technology is very useful on things like throws and blankets. The unit communicates with the matching washer to time out finishing the cycles. Would recommend.

Brand new dryer does not work

We had a brand new lg washer and dryer installed in our newly built home. The dryer has not worked for the three weeks we have lived in our new home. Repair people have come and said it needs new parts. Why does a brand new dryer need new parts?????
