Absolutely awful customer service

I spend about 3 grand on a fridge and the icemaker doesnt work. I reach out to customer service and sit there troubleshooting the ice maker for over an hour before they tell me there is no tech in my area so I have to replace the part myself.. right. Then I get the part and it still doesnt work. So I call and then proceed to trouble shoot it with 3 different people spanning over 5 days Perfect I just waisted more of my time. Just for a supervisor to tell me we are gonna send this to our tech department and look for a tech in your area. AGAIN. The. When I told her I already went through this she says well thats all I can do. I told her I just want to process an RA so I can go get a different fridge that actually works from Lowes she says I cant do that until I go through this process again. So I say whatever. Its been 2 weeks now and finally got someone from tech department to reach out trying to make me troubleshoot for the 5th time. And when I told him what happened he informs me this The reason is the new version of the icemaker is wired differently and cant control the water valve. Customer service should have seen the service bulletin on the unit stating to replace the water valve and main board when replacing the craft icemaker and then proceeds to tell me I am going to need to PAY MORE MONEY in order to get the other parts that I will also have to install myself. Absolutely no way in heck am I gonna spend more money to fix a fridge that came to me not working. This should be something LG wanted to fix. Instead I get the run around they make me fix things myself like Im bob the builder and try and charge me to fix a defaulty product they sold me. I STILL am waiting to be contacted about processing an RA so I can get a different fridge and I am canceling my order for all the other LG appliances I was getting for my new kitchen. If you want a company that doesnt help you rectify a mistake on their end tries to get more money out of you makes you spend hours out of your time troubleshooting and fixing products by yourself just to also sit on the phone for more hours of them coming up with excuses on why they wont help you with an RA then LG is PERFECT FOR YOU
