We bought a 22 cu ft. after owning a 28 cu ft. for many years. It is a French door refrigerator. Overall it is great. Only two issues. The side storage container space options are limited so you cannot store many tall items especially at the top shelves. Also the guide on the left hand door that helps the doord seal upon closing often opens in a half open position so when you close the left door it hits the right hand door. You should not have to even think about it but I do now so I dont damage the guide.

Spacious and space saving

Bought this unit to replace a 33 inch wide side by side this LG is roomier inside while being only 30 inches wide. Temperatures in both refrigerator and freezer are accurate and hold within 2 degrees. I love the flexibility with shelves and drawers. The only minor issue is if you collect magnets on your refrigerator they wont stick to the front doors of this unit I attached some thin sheets of a magnetic grade of stainless with 3M double sided tape to take care of that. I am extremely happy with this LG product overall.

Fridge and freezer both quit working after 4 years. LG stated that they would fix it for free but they dont have people in the area to fix it. It took over two weeks for them to find someone and by then we already a purchased a new refrigerator.

Needed $460 repairs in just 2 years

Fridge started having issues 2 years after purchase and an LG repair person is $460 I had a 3rd party repair person come in and just a cooling fan is $230 and labor is another $220. The repair person said do not buy LG because they break and the parts are expensive. Lesson learned.

Love It So Far

This is our first of this style refrigerator we had our previous old style freezer on top two door for 36 years. I cant find anything at all wrong with this fridge. We are on a well and the ice maker is working super great. It is the same size as one we had for a long time but it seems like there is more room. I find it easier to arrange that the old style we had. I love that the freezer is 0 degrees and the fridge section is 37 degrees. We do both notice how much colder our food is. And our grapes have lasted longer than before staying crisp. I think we are falling in love with our new LG refrigerator.

Extremely Disappointed with LGs Customer Service

We purchased the LG French Door Refrigerator just over a year ago along with several other LG appliances when we bought our home. Initially we were excited about our investment in what we thought were high-quality products. However our experience has been nothing short of a nightmare. Two weeks after the warranty expired yes just TWO WEEKS the refrigerator started making a strange noise. When we contacted LG support we were told they couldnt help because the warranty had expired. Instead they referred us to a third-party repair company. This company claimed they needed to order parts to fix the fridge but hadnt even inspected it to determine the issuesomething that didnt make much sense to us. Fast forward two weeks to todayThanksgivingand our fridge has completely stopped cooling. I am literally sitting here in tears hosting a special dinner for family and friends with no working fridge and no way to store all the food we prepared. It is absolutely outrageous that a refrigerator this expensive and from a brand as reputable as LG would malfunction after just one year of use. Whats even worse is LGs lack of accountability. After spending thousands of dollars on LG appliances the fact that they couldnt extend a helping hand for a problem that arose so shortly after the warranty expired is beyond disappointing. Their dismissive attitude shows they care more about profits than their customers. We trusted LG for our home and they let us down. I will never purchase another LG product again and Ill make sure to share this experience with others to prevent them from going through the same ordeal. Buyers bewareif youre looking for reliability and customer care look elsewhere.

Second LG fridge not as advertised

We just took delivery of this fridge today as a replacement for our 2017 LG that stopped working because - you guessed it - the compressor failed on it. Warranty repairs would have cost US $950 to repair the 2017 which is 3/4 the price of what we paid for it so we made the very tough decision to say goodbye to the old one and the even tougher decision to buy another LG as a replacement. This is in spite of the well known compressor issue that is plaguing them as weve now experienced first hand. The truth is we absolutely loved the 2017 so we were willing to give the 2024 a go in hopes it will last longer. As mentioned the new one arrived today and unfortunately though I just noticed theres something missing from it. The freezer door doesnt have the easy lift handle that bumps the freezer open when you pull it. We loved this feature on the 2017 and were expecting it on the 2024 as well since its shown as included with this model on the LG website. So here we are already feeling a bit salty about the early demise of the 2017 LG and now the 2024 is not as advertised. To say were not feeling so good about LG right now is a fair statement. Here I am now spending more time dealing with an LG fridge I just threw $1500 at to replace another LG fridge and Im still not done with it. Im writing this review as a caution to other consumers AND I am hoping LG will reach out to me to make this right.

My lg French door refrigerator worked for exactly 3 years. It broke down and I lost all the food in the fridge and freezer. I never got reimbursed for the food from lg. The repair guy came and replaced a part and it worked for 3 more days Then it broke again and the repair guy fixed another part. So it has been working for about a week and a half.

My review is in regards to customer service and lengthy delays in receiving a refund on parts covered by warranty. We are currently waiting on a dishwasher lower rack that has started to rust going on 6 months now. Our fridge also blew its compressor along with some other parts also covered under warranty. We were required to put $399 on a credit card to cover potential uncovered repairs. Everything that was fixed or replaced was under warranty. I have called and emailed LG over the last six months trying to get our money back and a new dishwasher rack.Every time I call they assure me that it will be taken care of and still no money. AAs for the appliances we love them. We understand that things happen. I dont understand the amount of effort required to get satisfaction.

Loved everything about this refrigerator. BUT....thankfully we bought the 5 yr extended warranty. Our compressor went out 6 mos before the warranty expired. The warranty fully paid for what we paid and had to get another refrigerator. It was almost a month doing without a refrigerator. Otherwise it was a nice deep refrigerator.

When we went to buy a new refrigerator we didnt know we were going to get an appliance that we fell in love with. Its a simple appliance thats not complicated to operate. Love the fact that we have a place to get filtered water. The space seems so much bigger than our previous refrigerator even thought they had the same cu. ft. We love this thing and even named it. Wonderful Fridge

We just had this fridge installed. Fridge is well lit and cools well. Freezer makes cubed ice as which seems better than the typical wedge shaped ice. Looks good with the stainless front and darker sides. The interior is plentiful except the shelves are tricky to get in the correct position to accept taller bottled and jugs. The total size is 2 cubic feet smaller than my old one. It seems smaller due to the shelf configuration. Overall pleased I just have to get used to the shelving difference.

Worst Customer Service and junky refrigerator

The compressor died in less than 3 years. It has beeb 23 days since the refrigerator broke and LG said they would send a new compressor since the compressor was stillunder warranty. I have made numerous calls and texts to LG and they cant even tell me if the part has been sent No tracking numbers...nothing. THE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE Do not buy any LG products.

All the major appliance in our home our LG brand even our TV. We have been happy with the performance and the reliability of all of them. Recently we had some noise problems with our Refrigerator and called our home warranty company to have a technician find the the problem. He found the problem to be the compressor which was under warranty. After a few calls to the LG customer care the LG representee had a new compressor and associated parts shipped to us free of charge. Now thats service. Our refrigerator of 6 years is running perfect again. That says a lot for good products and great customer care.

Great features be wary of compressors

We purchased the refrigerator in 2020. It worked fairly well for the past 4 years until 2 months ago when the compressor went out. The good news is that it was still under warranty. The bad news is that I cannot in good faith give this a better review. I do really like the water feature and the size is great for our family but the process of trying to work with both LG and the repairman was very taxing and it took about 3.5 weeks to have a working fridge. On the plus side the fridge works now and I was reimbursed for the cost of the repair.

Save yourself the headache and pick another brand

Contains the infamously unreliable LG Linear Compressor - check out all the lawsuits over this thing. Mine failed after only 3 years and LGs solution is to send out whatever repair shop in your area bids the lowest - assuming anyone bids at all. Theyll replace the compressor with an identical one and all it will cost you is a minimum of all the food in your fridge and a day at home waiting for the repair people. When your LG Certified 1-star rated repairman gets involved you can expect to lose another fridge full of food and several more days of work waiting for someone to show up to fix his work. At least with a 10 year warranty thats 3 compressor lifetimes right? Well no because its parts only after 5 years so after the first one youll be paying as much as it would cost you to buy a new fridge to have the free compressor installed.
