Almost Perfect

I really like the refrigerator. I love that you can do a systems check on it. Changing the air and water filters is easy and quick. The only problem I have with it is the in-door ice maker overflows then the ice melts outside the bucket and water drops will come out of the door.

My LG Refrigerator

Bought it 3 weeks ago and had some issues related to the waterline and the water from the outside door which is always warmer than expected which needs to be resolved. Other than that I am very pleased with this model this is my second LG refrigerator and this one although 1/4 inch smaller than the previous one is more spacious on the inside. It is a bit noisy when making ice at the beginning but we are adjusting to it.

The unit works as intended. 4 years into the purchase. The volume is great in both the fridge and the freezer. Tmo is consultant and cold. The only loud part of the unit is when the ice is being made it falls into the bucket. But truly that is the only sami loud thing at all. Quiet and efficient. The app for it connects with no issue to your home unit. Tells you all the info that you may need from testing and seeing how well the unit is working to when you need to replace your filters for both air and water. I just had a error code dh show up. The app allowed me to follow detailed instructions on how to address the issue and what to check to help resolve the issue before calling in support for a true repair. LG reps will walk you through the process as needed. The only down side is finding room for tall bottles or jugs. But there is a bit of juggling and moving things around but it works out in the end. I would recommend this fridge.

Broke down shortly after its 4 year anniversary with an error code DHF. My family has been without a working refrigerator since 5/2/2024. I have communicated with LG customer 3 times today the fourth in which the service rep just dropped my call on purpose because yes I am tired of everyone saying they understand. No they dont I have had techs come to my home at least 4 times. Now today Im being told by customer service that the tech intends to escalate my issue. What does that mean? Am I expected to continue to live without a working refrigerator? Continue to eat take out and what about the food items that I had to throw out because they were spoiled. LG means Lifes Good life is good for who? Because it is not good for my family as we are jerked around. My first and last LG product. And if asked I would steer them away . Customer service has been no help and the techs have just been removing and replacing parts. I appreciate their efforts but its not enough. And I been left with no other options but to take the lost and buy an other refrigerator

Lousy service

2 days before the warranty expired the fan went hatwire making all kinds of noise. Technician showed up and diagnosed failure . Ordered part shipped to me and ask me to call when part arrived . Rcvd part and called with several msg and text. After a week with no response I called LG customer service contacted another tech and set appt. On day tech wsa to arrive I finally called LG and was told tech not comingat 4:30 PM after waiting all afternoon . At 4:45 the original tect showed out of the blue and now says he ordered wrong part . Bit of luck he did have part in his truck. Two week fiasco finally over

I have been out of a refrigerator for 6 weeks and was given rewards points for purchasing a new refrigerator but must be purchased from lg website. This refrigerator broke and stopped cooling 9 months after purchase. Working with the warranty department has been a nightmare they are not able to service it until a month after the date it stopped working. They are unwilling to compensate for lost food or consider a refund until it is serviced so my family with young children is without a refrigerator for a month. LG has shown no concern or care for our situation despite us choosing their refrigerator over others less than 1 year ago.

Beware of bad compressor

I bought the refrigerator approximately 3 years ago and the compressor went out. I tried to service the appliance myself by following the various servicing proceedures provide through LG website and the online text forum but eventually determined it needed a trained technician. Apparently bad compressors are a known issue and the repair is fully covered for both iparts and labor for up to five years after purchase. However it took over three weeks for someone to come out and fix the fridge. They sent out one technicial who didnt have the correct tool to recharge the freon. I had to call again and make another repair appointment. The second guy was from a third-party repair service in the area. He came out made the same assessment as the first technician and stated he needed to order the part. The part took over a week to come in. Thus on the third visit they were able to fix the frige. However after they left the fridge started making a loud vibration noise. I pulled the fridge out and determine that they attached the copper tubes on the new compressor incorrectly and thus they need to come back out to fix their mistake. So now I sm waiting for my 4th visit by a technician to hopefully fix my fridge correctly. A lot of wasted time and lost money from food that went bad and from having to eat out a lot while wating for repairs. Not a great experience overall. Other than that I like the refrigerator features layout and functions.

I bought this unit less than a year ago. Second one. Loved my first one. It started to make a noise and shut down with an error code. Called the factory and that was the worst customer experience I have. Had in a very long time. Told to try to fix it myself. After 4 days of their reset still no good. Called again and the second guy was no better than the first. Very argumentative. Finally got a service guy out. He was great. A ten minute fix with a new updated fan. Was told that they had problems and needed the update. Fridge was down for 10 days. Emailed there customer service president and she seamed to care less. Never heard sorry for the poor service. Everybody has fails but a sorry goes a long way. The only good part of the whole experience was my service tech. He was on time friendly cleaned up.

Easily breakable water filter parts replacements

BRR then no BRR and now BRR once again

Bought in Nov of 2020 and had to get it serviced in March due to the freezer not staying cold. When the freezer stas above 15 degrees the ice maker shuts off automatically. Over $500 for a repair which was a 5 minute software update and freezer is fine. LG did supply a $200 check to cover food spoilage but could not do anything for the repair cost.

Painful service / warranty request

I have always been a fan of LG and this is a great fridge. Has ice in the door and extra icemaker down below for those hot Florida days when you need to fill your cooler. Until recently it ran very quiet but then started making a noise so loud it made it difficult to sleep. Contacted LG on line had to watch a troubleshooting video went through the chatbot for noise I guess some people do not know that falling ice makes noise? and then FINALLY got connected to a real live person...via chatbox. Did you try this did you try that etc etc etc. I guess this is how they weed out the idiots...or people without enough patience to try for 2 hours...anyway I described in great detail and low and behold...they determined a refrigerant pump / fan had gone bad. The fridge was still under warranty and it was taken care of in a prompt manner maybe 2 or 3 days. Technicon came in went right to work and had it repaired in about 45 minutes. Cleaned up took the old part and all the packaging. Because of the difficulty under statement of the year I am giving this 4 stars instead of 5. I though about giving it 3 stars but the Technician was so efficient I added another star.

I bought mines in 2020 and it went out in the beginning of April 2024 . They sent someone out every week for 4 weeks because they would fix it and 3 days later it was not working. I lost so much food and they only Reimburse me $200 i lost over $1500 of groceries. And to make things worse I had to resend my receipt and they said it wasnt clear but 2 of the customer service people could read it but when the department that handles reimburse reviewed it they couldnt read it So I still waiting on a refund but it wasnt that much and that is not ok because that refrigerator should have lasted at least more then what it did .

Bought this 6 months ago it works well and I love all the features and size. Only issue is last month it had an error message and stopped working. LG sent someone out and fixed it order warranty but its a little concerning I needed work on it within 6 months of purchasing.

Repairs Needed Too Soon

I bought the refrigerator less than 2 years ago. I unit stopped cooling and freezing. The cost to repair it was 1/5 of the cost of the unit originally. For a unit to not work after less than 2 years is unacceptable. I will not be purchasing another LG product. This was very disappointing.

I bought it 3/20/23 it started giving me problems 4/1/24. Its not cooling the ice maker is leaking. It has been a horrible appliance since 4/1/24.

Love this other than trying to find the correct sizes for filters....even tried calling LG with no luck. I get reminders to replace the filters but no accompanying info. Also the water/ice dispenser drips and LG thought it wise to quit making a drip tray.... disappointed in that

Bought at the outlet does its job. After about 1.5 years of owning the freezer fan broke and was told the fridges this year have been having this issue but luckily it happened while still under warranty.

terrible condensors

Interesting when you go to consumer reports and no LG refrigerator receives higher than a 3 on product reliability. We purchased the fridge and it did not last 5 years until it completely failed. LG did provide a token residual of a few hundred dollars but what a battle to receive any type of recognition The LG technician did say they are placing the same condensers in the new refrigerators that have been failing.

Excellent product. Maintains superb temperature regulation of both the refrigerated and freezer sections. Door mounted water and ice delivery has always performed well. Entire refrigerator is laid out well for convenience of storage.

Died after 22 months

Nice fridge when it works. The compressor died after only 22 months and the main cooling fan blew a bearing and needed to be replaced. Not a great lifespan for a very expensive fridge.

Lots of space. Flex shelf option. Freezer dividers are helpful. Dual ice machines are wonderful. I only have 4 stars because the freezer fan broke and we were without it for 2 weeks No credit for lost food.

Broken shelves and Fan...

Shelves inside broke from normal wear and tear and had to be replaced. $450 repair to freezer fan after just 4.5 years. Doors swing open violently. Only positive is the additional ice maker in the freezer. Do not recommend

I really like the the Refrigerator except for the service I have been getting . I contacted the service representative in the middle of January and he still has not arrived and I then contacted you company and they told me there would be a charge because the warranty ran out. This not acceptable because i contacted the rep before the warranty date.

I had high hopes for this refrigerator but it let me down. After 10 months the freezer fan stopped working. It took several weeks to get the part and no sooner than it was replaced but the ice maker fan stopped working As of 5his review after 6 weeks it still isnt fixed. Customer service was not at all helpful. This is a problem that needs to be addressed by LG.

Weve only had the new fridge for a week but we like it very much. Suggestion: We would like it if the water function on the front started out slow for a second or so and then increased to full water flow. As it is water splashes out of the glass. Could also use a removable try under the water/ice dispenser as something always drops ice or water.

Awful fridge

Ive had problems with the water and temperature since day 1. The water through the door and the 2 ice makers taste horrible not drinkable. From what Ive read in Google searches there is a malfunction with the filter housing unit that prohibits the water from properly being filtered and as such the water tastes like plastic. 3 repairmen have disavowed any knowledge of this issue and claim the fridge is working according to specs. Well according to thousands of people who have this same issue the specs are not acceptable. The fridge also doesnt reach the proper temperate of 37 unless you set it at 35 or below. What a horrible fridge from LG. Very disappointed. LIFE IS NOT GOOD

Fan condenser problem

I hear some noise on the fan at that noise is was so stressful because never stop I check some video only and I call LG to get any help to solved the problem or anything But the only answer from the LG is I get to paid from the repair and the product is was only 17 months old they send me some technical number to get estimated I call one person he charge $280 parts and labor IM NOT PAID ANYTHING I FIX MY SELF I ORDER THE CONDENSER FAN I PAID $120 BEFORE I REPLACED I TRIE SOMETHING AND IF YOU GUYS HAVE PROBLEM TRIED AND GOOD LOOK REMOVE THE FAN AND USED SOME WD40 I TRIE AND ITS 1 MONTH WITH OUT THE NOISE DONT REPLACED THE FAN CONDENSER ONLY ADD SOME LUBRICANT THAT WAY THE FAN ITS NVER GOING TO GET STOCK I STILL HAVE THE NEW FAN JUST ON CASE THE FAILURE COMPLETE I REPLACED I THINK LG NEED TO REPLACED THAT PART FOR FREE BECAUSE ITS THE FAULT ABOUT THAT PART NEED MORE GREASE ON THAT MOTOR

Stay away Will not last you past the warranty

Horrible Stay away I spent almost 2k on this refrigerator 5 years and 3 weeks ago. Last year the unit completely died see class action lawsuit. On that occasion LG coordinated the repair and replaced my condenser. Now nine months later I learned the hot line has been leaking and apparently has for some time since theres a spot with rust showing through. The authorized servicer says its not repairable and I need to buy a new fridge Ive spent hours on the phone with LG pleading my case - yes Im past the 5 years but this problem clearly occurred before my warranty expired. The most they will do is offer me 15 off a new fridge....from them. I even tried asking for supervisors and escalating - nope. These expensive appliances should last longer than five years. Absolutely horrific experience and I do no understand how they ethically produce so many poor products.

Fridge ice maker failed in less than a year. First customer service rep said someone would come out in December but never actually scheduled anyone. Finally got someone out in January but took 2 more weeks to get parts after they came. Very frustrating to have a new $3K fridge that doesnt work right.
