Looks great but has some major problems

Had this microwave a little more than a year. The button to open and close the door has plastic pieces that hold it together and break way to easily The clock/timer light display randomly goes out in parts of the numbers. Another huge issue with this is that it interferes with the wi-fi router big time. Whole lot of issues that has me looking for a new microwave and it most likely wont be an LG. Sad because my other kitchen appliances are LG black stainless. This review also wouldnt let me leave photos of the issues.

Unpredictable and cheap made

This microwave has a number of problems. First of all the sensor cook and sensor reheat have never worked well. One moment it undercooks things and the next moment it boils or explodes food all over the place. Based on other reviews I was a bit concerned about the door latch and now that issue has occurred as well. The hinge on the door latch is a total piece of junk. Little plastic pivot pin that breaks easily. Could have easily used metal or beefed it up a bit to make it a usable product. The hinge is integrated into the front control panel so once it breaks it means a new control panel or a new microwave.

We are well-pleased with the new LG Microwave It has performed well thus far. This microwave has a large interior and soft chimes that is not annoying. the interior light is low but being at eye level is helpful. The microwave fit our old trim kit so that is great.

Modern Features at a Great Price

This countertop microwave has the modern inverter technology highest home wattage and largest home capacity along with ease-of-use features and was very affordably priced. The only downside is that it doesnt have the turntable off/on feature which we would have preferred but very few companies make that feature now.

Okay I used this microwave for simple uses. A bit of warning... it cooks very quickly. Popcorn that used to take almost 3 minutes to pop is now down to 1 minute 45 seconds. Doing 3 medium potatoes 9 minutes down to 6 minutes. Yup Chef Mic is a cooker

Unfortunately I didnt have a very good luck with this microwave after 4 month it stop working. It turn on. After 20 seconds of operation it will turn of. At first I thought it was the outlet moved it to a different location. Problem continue. I purchased it again hopefully I have better luck.

I bought to replace microwave that came with in a unit with oven. The main reason I purchased it was because of the microwave having a really good rating one that would work for a long time. I bought this microwave in 2018 and it stopped working In the Fall of 2022. I bought a JCP brand that was in the dented and damaged section that lasted over10 years. I love the look of the black stainless steel but I hate the short life span.

I bought this microwave after one that was too small and lacked a number keypad on the front. This is great because it is huge inside but has the feet located back enough to still fit on the shelf in our kitchen. The little touch to have the end timer be a tune rather than a beep is also nice. I just wish the food specific settings were not coded. It would be nice if it would scroll across the display whether the setting was potatoes or popcorn instead of S5 or S6.

I am totally thrilled with this microwave. I use it every morning to prepare steel cut oatmeal it even has an oatmeal setting and comes out perfect every time. The 30 second quick cook setting makes heating the cream for my coffee a breeze.30 seconds stir repeat no more exploding cream. This replaced a 40 year old Amana Radar Range. I have an LG washer and refrigerator all outstanding appliances.

Wonderful addition to my kitchen

We needed a new microwave fast when our old one died and this one had good ratings and was available so we picked it up and started using it right away. It works great and has features that make it really easy to use. I love the automatic 30 second start feature and the chimes when it finishes are a nice change from the beeps of other appliances.

Should have lasted longer

I am disappointed that this microwave did not last longer than three years. It is just my husband and me. Guess nothing is made like it used to be. Have had issues with door open button for a year. Now it has just stopped heating. Family coming in tomorrow and I really need a microwave. Disappointed to say the least.

Just type the time and push start. It can get any easier than that. The one thing I would suggest improving is the feet On the bottom. The microwave tends to move when the door button is pushed.

My husband and I switched to LG appliances in our old house and have never looked back. We just completed our new house and chose all LG appliances. I love the ease of the LG app and especially our microwave. Some have so many functions its confusing. The LG model we bought is great for our everyday needs. The ONLY thing is it doesnt let me forget about the food as it keeps beeping at me when its done

I bought this microwave a month ago as a replacement for a broken wall mount. It has been exceeding expectations thus far was easy to install and complements our kitchen decor admirably The only caveat I have is for folks looking to replace their exiting wall mounted microwave - the trim kit is at least as expensive as the unit itself and sometimes more.
