Fridge had good basic features nothing special

I bought a fridge from LG that had a 1 yr warrantee. It went bad at 8 mos. Paid $1500 Counting credits and $ down bal. financed $1250. LG would only pay the amount charged and not what was actually paid. Couldnt buy a new one for $1250 so unless Home Depot wrote off some on a new one I was left to buy used. Home Depot came thru discounting a similar new fridge to the $1250 from LG. So LG screwed me out of $300 value by not refunding the $1595 and sending the $1250. Five stars to Home Depot 3 stars to LG.

I bought this fridge 8 months ago it developed an internal water problem. LG refunded the price of the fridge after the discounts I earned were applied. The refunded amount fell short of the actual price before the discountssuch as $100 off for getting a home depot card 10 percent first responder discount and money applied before charging the item balance to the card. There payment to me was about $400 short of the actual sale price. I would have opted for a replacement instead of the smaller amount offered but Home Depot stepped up and took the hit for the differance of what LG offered and the price for another fridge. I am satisfied only because Home Depot ate the differance. Good for Home Depot BAD for LG

Over all happy with my purchase. Why doesnt LG include a butter tray and ice scooper? You have to open booth doors to open the meat or salad bin. That is a pain to open booth doors just to get meat out.

I bought my refrigerator 2yrs ago broke down recently. I have an extended warranty however I had 2 scheduled repair visits scheduled that ended up no shows. The reason give no one wants to work on LG refrigerators. They finally found someone to work on it and after 2 visits supposedly it was fixed after 2 days short of 3weeks Next day ice maker stopped working properly Now Im waiting 5 days for them to check it

It took about three weeks to get a repairman to my house going through LG. I had an error code the ordered the part and it was replaced. 3 hours after the repair the error code appeared shain. I contacted LG and they said it would be sent to scheduling. It has been over a week and no contact from them. What if my fridge quits working at all? No urgency to get the appliance working properly.

Poorly designed and programmed

This refrigerator has several design flaws. After professional installation the doors do not close properly. The left door slams shut every time the right door will not close completely without pushing it or slamming it manually. The right doors plastic closer mechanism has been replaced multiple times works for a week or so then wears out and stops pulling it closed. The door alarm timer is annoying and cannot be turned off. One cannot load it after shopping or even fill two cups of water from the internal spigot without it going off. A simple program could disable it when the water is activated or a motion sensor to reset the timeout if someone is actively using it. It would also be a simple program to delay ice harvest when the top drawer is open: currently opening the door triggers harvest and the ice drops to the bottom drawer Not a very smart fridge. Disappointing to spend this much money on such a pretty poorly designed unit.

I have had my fridge for about a month and coudnt be more happy. My last fridge was 25 cu ft my LG is 27 cu ft. Going to the 2door fridge with two pullmout freezer drawers instead of the side by side seems as though there is twice the space. We are very happy with this product.

Pros and cons

Ive had this lg refrigerator for about two years and Ive encountered a few problems. Ive had to fix the fridge two time so far due to ice build on the fan. This problem cause the fridge portion to stop working. Now I am replacing a circuit board which is costing around $500 for part and labor. When I go into the freezer section of my refrigerator I have to wipe frost off of my food which is weird to me. Other than that I have no other problems with this model.

We bought a package of LG appliancesThree years ago. The refridgerator already just had a motor that needed to be replaced. 400.00 It is only two people in our house. Not opening and closing all the time The condiment holders on the doors cracked so easily. The only appliance we liked out of the four was the dishwasher. : We usually only buy LG products have your washer and dryer. Are the appliances in the packages a cheaper quality? So roomy inside the refrigerator The two freezer compartments are rather small but accommodate what we need..wish they were a bit bigger. The ice maker releases cubes into a bin located in the top freezer drawer it takes up a lot of the room.

We love our new refrigerator. It keeps things cold and frozen. The refrigerator has plenty of room and the dual freezer is great. It is easy to find things in the freezer.

I bought a refrigerator and stove in November and it stopped cooling in March I lost $1320 worth of food. I was offered $300 and 3 parts were replaced. Im very disappointed at this point.

This could have been a good fridge but LG decided to put in a glaringly bad ice maker. It does not produce enough for a family even when it was working and now it is failing completely after only a few weeks.

Broken product and poor service

Refrigerator purchased in July 2023 stopped cooling in Feb 2024. All ice melted and drained out of the fridge damaging our hardwood floors. First service appointment was March 4th 2024. As of June 4th 2024 I have still not been able to get the refrigerator fixed. The wrong parts have been ordered TWICE and while the technicians and customer support I have spoken to have been pleasant every time this is getting ridiculous. Its been 3 full months of no refrigerator in our kitchen we have to constantly stock it with 20 lb bags of ice if we want to use it as an ice box to keep things temporarily cool. LG never again. That said for the few months that we had the fridge and it was working properly it was cool that it made the craft ice and I enjoyed the functionality of the dual ice makers. 5 star frudge but minus 2 stars for breaking in a couple months minus 3 stars for 3 months of waiting on a fix so far minus 3 stars for damaging our hardwood floors

Filter mechanism on this model is faulty

Do NOT purchase this fridge. The filter mechanism is faulty and should be recalled. LG should be fixing this issue for free but they wont take accountability for faulty mechanics. We have been without a filtration system for a long time now. When you go to replace the filter it wont click in and never would. Never in my life have I had a filter this difficult to install. All other brands but click right in. Do not purchase this fridge Save your money

I bought this refrigerator together with 12 other LG products most of which were Signature Suite models. I have had too many service calls needed. Also I learned that I need to clean the coils on this refrigerator every 12 months and I need to move the whole refrigerator out from the cabinet it is in which will require me to hire someone to come and do that.

Amazing utilization of interior space.

I bought this to replace a 17-year-old unit that gave up and leaked horribly. Though I choose a twin drawer freezer which actually has a little bit less space. The refrigerator area has so much space would be nice for the shelves to have more adjustability there is more than enough room for way more than I used to have in the refrigerator area. I am glad I went with this LG model instead of some other brand.

Really love the refrigerator except for the freezer which had some ice accumulation on the rim of the bottom freezer because of which we could not open the bottom ones however LG was prompt enough to send a technician who was very knowledgeable and fixed the issue for us . Love LG for its products and service.

My refrigerator can damaged from your factory. Someone had taken a blunt object-like a hammer to the drawers and you customer service has given me a complete run-around. I spent alot of money on that refrigerator... I will never buy a LG product again

Huge interior

Love love love this refrigerator. It has a huge interior enough drawers and selves for everything. We bought the one with water dispenser inside so the doors are sleek and smooth. The door shelves/baskets are amazingly large you have gallon jugs no problem tall wine bottles no problem. Of all my appliances this is my favorite.

Refrigerator stopped working after two years it was still under warranty but it took them over two weeks to get a repair person. The repair took about 15 minutes.

HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE

I had this delivered to my new home over 6 weeks ago. The box was in perfect shape but the refrigerators drawers had a hammer or smoething blunt damaging the draers. After 5 weeks or calling putting in claims getting non-english people giving me the runaround I am thoroghly disgusted with LG.. Finally a very nice woman at the Home Depot an hour from me swapped out the door fronts for me is now able to send 1 of there LG Floor models back to LG.. EXTREMELY POOR CUSYOMER SERVICE
