Got it in 2021 and it broke almost 2 1/2yrs later

It was working fine than out of nowhere it stop working. I called customer service and every time they keep trying to get me to say something else was wrong and I keep repeating what happened over and over. On top of that I just had my babies and all my breast milk supply was gone and I had to buy a mini fridge to keep it from getting bad. Everyone in my area refused to work with LG because they werent getting payment for their service so once again I have to wait for them to call me back with another technician which btw did not happen so I had to pay out of pocket to get it done and when I called to get a refund for the service I keep getting the run around. Eventually they send it through but we only got back what we paid to get it fix but all my foodjust food shop btw breast milk was gone so over $700 worth of breast milk and special milk similac alimentum liquid was thrown out it took them one month to respond and that with me calling them to get information on when and what can be done because I really need my fridge but for 2 months I had to go out of my way to store my milk with my neighbor or just buy as need which is an inconvenience for myself and my newborn babies I could even get a refund for all my food that was lost the fridge was faulty and they is what the tech said so I will have to get it fixed if it stop working again on top of that the warranty ran out conveniently when they had to come fix my fridge after waiting for a whole month. Worst experience and very frustrating customer experience I ever had and I am so disappointed.

A big size for a big family

I bought this refrigerator in 2020. Unfortunately I havent not been able to use the water line as of yet so I cant rate that. But my family loves the knock knock featuremore so me because you dont have to open the door multiple times loosing the regulated temperature too often or too long. I have a family of 5 so we needed this large size it fits everything we need. The double freezer door helps keep more food in the main house since we still need an over flow over freezer food in a deep freezer.

NEVER will I purchase an LG refrigerator again. Customer service abysmal horrendous communication with me as well as within their own organization. Cooling fan died after 2.5 years/ice maker stopped working. Service tech replaced part but 2 weeks later both fridge AND ice maker stopped working. This was 2 days before Thanksgiving. CS said they could not get anyone out for another 2 weeks. Then nobody shows. I received 2 texts that said my service appointment would be canceled but there was nothing saying LG in the text nor the timing of my appt. Seemed like a scam or something. CS told me not to respond and my service appt was still scheduled. Another text was sent canceling days before appt but I called CS they said appt was still scheduled. When nobody showed today I contacted CS and they said I should have received a text... WHAT??? Poor communication Lies Untrustworthy Poor Quality

I bought this in Feb 2022 and started having problems in June 2024 I had an extended warranty and 7 repair attempts 4 parts attempted to be replaced later between the ice maker not working then the fridge would not cool. I have had to buy ice for the last rew months. I am still battling with the warranty co in which my fridge went on Thanksgiving.

I got the frig in 2019 had problems and had to unplug and let it defrost after 2 years then we had a power outage for 8 days plugged it back up and wouldnt run took over a month for the tech to get here and fix it. I am very disappointed in my refrigerator as far as being problem free. It is a beautiful refrigerator and I really like the lay out. It is not aligned evenly on the doors and I have had to replace ice maker which I rarely use. Also the drawers dented easily and I am still not sure how that happened. They were replaced under the warranty which is great but now it I have discovered it is not made correctly and the bottom drawer has constant frost on the front edge of the drawer and it gets ice build up on the inside right side of the bottom drawer I guess because it leaks air or something. I bought a new gasket and installed it but it seems worse. when the appliance repair tech came to change out the drawer fronts he raised the left leg to try and balance it to make door even but that made the ice build up on the left side as well. I paid way too much money for this and it doesnt work properly. Now I am stuck at having to pay a hefty repair bill. It is only 3 years old The repair man said it was made wrong drawer bows too much so it cannot fit tight.

Loved this refrigerator until it quit cooling. I have now been without a refridgerator for3 weeks. Lg service just keeps saying they cannot get some to come out and determine what is wrong. The compressor gave out after four years. That may be about average for modern appliances. The rest of the unit has been great. LGs warranty service was very good hence the 4 stars. They replaced th compressor at no charge. It now works like new.

Specs say 35.75 width so designed cabinetry accordingly. Turns out the extra refrigeration/insulation put in the side panels adds nearly another inch to the width causing a bulge on either side. Refrigerator no longer can fit in our design space and LG refuses to do anything about it or replace the unit. Neer seen this happen before. Will not buy from them again.

We purchased the LG Fridge with our new home. One year in the unit started making loud noises and the then the ice maker went out and a few days later the fridge stopped cooling as well. We set an appointment that was much further out than we liked but were told that was all that was available. 5 days with out a fridge and then we find out that the service department is going to cancel our service call because they scheduled the service for the wrong address and also shipped the part to the wrong address. We were then told that it would be another 3 days before they could get a technician to our location. The old address that they had was only 6 miles away but they wouldnt just reroute the technician to our correct location. A very expensive refrigerator only a year old and now a $500.00 repair. This is the worst appliance/service company Ive ever dealt with and I will never own an another LG product ever again.

Good enough but buyer beware.

Had this fridge for two years now without any issues but three weeks ago it started make a loud squeaking noise and alternates with a loud humming noise which is different than the usual noise from the refrigerator. I was told by LG that this issue was not covered by LG and I needed to pay a technician about $400 for labor to come out and fix. It was a disappointment that LG does not take care of its customers better. We owned this refrigerator for only two years.

Terrible unit and terrible customer service

This is the third LG refrigerator we have had. We have had problems with the compressor in every one of them. One lasted about 5 years. One lasted 4 years and one only lasted a year Then dealing with LG is an absolute nightmare.

I purchased this refrigerator at Costco and got delivered on 07/20/2024 and today is 08/09/2024. So far good. No complaints. This is my first LG fridge. I hope it lasts long.

Good fridge but limited repair options

Bought it three years ago. Product was great until it just stopped working. LG is paying to fix it but getting someone here to do it will take over a month Product is fine but if you have trouble you might be waiting a while.

My 1 year old refrigerator stop cooling. I called their help line. They scheduled a repairman 2 weeks out who never showed. Then they re-scheduled for another week out. My 1 year old refrigerator stopped working and it is over 3 weeks out and still no one has come to look at it.

After having 4 techs out no one could figure out what was wrong the LG tech walks in and says the refrigerator doesnt sound right he knew exactly what to look for and made the repair he replaced the compressor after 3 weeks of waiting on others the LG tech had our refrigerator working in 45 minutes

Huge piece of junk. Lasted 2 years and now wont cool in either the upper or lower portion. LG customer service says they cant find a technician in my area. I can find one online easily. Then they asked for a receipt which I produced my online receipt and they said it wont work as they need the paper receipt from Lowes. Sorry LG but a receipt is a receipt whether its paper or electronic. Why dont they just admit they dont want to refund me my money on their piece of junk refrigerator. Last LG product Ill ever buy

After 4 years the compressor went out which was extremely frustrating. Everything I read said it would take forever to fix which was not exciting. The saving grace was that when I called LG they sent a tech out to replace the compressor in about a week. We loved this fridge so we were happy they fixed it. Thank you for standing behind your product.

Ice maker stopped working after 4 years. I purchased Lowes extended warranty they couldnt find a replacement ice maker so they gave me a refund for the purchased price. While I waited for my new refrigerator the one I was replacing stopped cooling properly.

I bought this refrigerator three years ago. Have loved the look and style of the unit. Just recently the compressor went out on the refrigerator. As I have a five-year warranty on the compressor I called LG and found out that the compressor and circuitboard could not be replaced. They set up an account for me and I was able to to purchase a new refrigerator through the account at no cost to me. What a great way to take care of your customers All of my appliances are LG and Ive been very happy with all of them. I would highly recommend LG to anyone thinking about replacing or purchasing new appliances.

STAY AWAY FROM LG

We bought this fridge 2 years ago. We spent $3600 for a piece of junk. LG used to sell a quality product but their quality has gone down the toilet. It is so sad that a company would sell their products so much higher than other companies but deliver a subpar item. I have had several sales people and repair people tell me to stay away from LG appliances because they are no longer the company they used to be 10 years ago. I didnt listen and bought an appliance package. Now I have been without a fridge for almost a month and now it has been decided that the fridge cannot be repaired. So I am waiting on e check from the extended warranty company. If I had not bought an extended warranty- I would just be out $3600. The warranty company offered to give me a new LG fridge uuuhhmmmm... NO WAY Come on LG- DO BETTER

Horrible horrible horrible dont buy

I bought a 3500 fridge just under two years ago and it already does not work. I call LG to have a technician come out because its still under warranty and someone in another country that I cant understand tries tells me a technician in my network will call me. 1 week goes by and I finally get a call from American appliance who schedules an appt to come see the fridge 4 days later. The technician arrives and is incredibly rude and immediately arrives and says its the compressor. The technician replaces the compressor then leaves. Fridge still does not work so I again have to call someone in another country that I cant understand to tell the technician its not fixed and here we are 3 weeks later and I still have no fridge. I cant even get a technician in my area to touch an LG fridge because they say its impossible to get parts and they are horrible. How can you sell an appliance the cost of a small car and its already broken not even two years later? I wish I could give zero stars

Dont buy LG

I bought this unit 4yrs ago. About a year after purchase it stopped cooling. I bought a protection plan but was redirected to the manufacturer warranty. LG has the worst timing to complete your repair. It took a month to get it fix. About a month ago unit stopped cooling again I called and it took about 2 months to get repaired through the warranty.. well literally 36 hrs later it stopped cooling. I bought the unit for 2300 but I was only given a refund of 1950 towards a new fridge but only after arguing that I was sold a hunk of trash. Will never buy LG again Funny because I around the same time I bought my washer and dryer also LG. The washers control board broke which is actually un repairable. Literally broke weeks apart coincidence? The fact that I paid 1000 for the washer and for a life span of only 4 yrs feels like a rip off I wish there was an option for negative stars

The only issue with this is why is the water dispenser water only cold for the first 8oz water. Why isnt it cold for constantly? And yes it is connected correctly.

Freezer Fan Error ~1 Year Later

Low-quality refrigerator parts. We purchased new in 2023 and just over a year later once out of warranty the unit stopped working due to a freezer fan error FF E error code and we had to spend over $500 for a replacement part and labor. Incredibly disappointing given the short life of the product and the high price we paid for it.
