Not Happy

I had issues with this product within 6 months of its purchase. Most of the parts are replaced and I still have issues like sudden gurgling noise loud ice making process the right door not being able to stay open and occasional food freezing on the top rack of refrigerator. I had a previous LG refrigerator for more than 15 years with no issues at all. This isnt the case with my new purchase.

Poor Service and product

Bought a whole LG set for my house refrigerator induction range dishwasher and washing machines thinking LG had good quality and customer service. Unfortunately my experience was very disappointing. The refrigerator door came tilted/misaligned from the beginning. I called for service and the technician couldnt fix it. After requesting a replacement another person came measured everything took pictures and then disappeared. No follow-up no calls nothing. I spent a lot of money expecting reliable products and support but instead I wasted my money and time. I would never recommend LG products based on my experience.

uncomfortable for tall people

I love this refrigerator but as a tall person I will never buy it. It is extremely inconvenient to bend down to open the doors from the bottom and there are no finger grooves on the top of the doors. While it may not seem like a big deal it is. Having to lean down at an uncomfortable angle just to open the fridge door several times a day for the next 10 plus years makes it a no for me. significant design misstep

Dont Buy

Bought fridge in June. Less than 4 months later water dispenser is stuck.. water all over wooden floors. Opening a ticket with LG takes all day. Do Not buy Spending a Sunday trying to get LG to fix a brand new fridge and cleaning up the mess is not worth it.

The delivery guys arrived exactly on time. The tracking said 0753 and they rang the doorbell at 0753. Unboxed no damage took every scrap of packing material away and placed the unit in position and leveled. I do not use the water hookup nor the ice. If you connect the water do yourself a favor and pitch the cheap plastic hose and get a braided water hose that will not degrade and burst. It took about 2 hours to reach the default 37/0 degrees for the refrigerator and freezer but LG says to give it 24 hours to stabilize while empty. The old one still works so its sitting in the nook area while the LG is stabilizing. Costco will return anytime I call within the next 30 days to remove the old refrigerator. The drawers run fairly smooth but I grease all the friction points with a food grade grease anyway. I also grease the area on the left door where the center flap engages at the top. Be prepared for the auto close door it really does work The app is beyond cool. I already had it set up for my LG washer dryer and microwave so adding the fridge was a breeze. All I had to do as point my phone at the QR code inside the fridge and I was done. It tells you the inside temps and KwH used and a few other useful tidbits. I chose this LG because it does not use the dreaded linear compressor none of the counter depth max units do. It uses a reciprocating smart compressor that even with my hearing aids on I can not hear. The warranty is the best in the industry but I still bought the extended warranty. For $40.00 a year it is a no brainer. It does show fingerprints they all do regardless of what the manufacturer says. I know I tested everything at a big box store. Prints wipe off easily with a microfiber cloth going with the grain. I like the no handles look and operation. My wife likes the texture on the sides easy to clean and no prints. I would not use magnets on the front SS finish bad things can happen to the SS finish. Magnets on the sides only. It came with a free 6 cubic foot fridge that Ill just store it in case the fridge ever goes bad. Its a very nice compact unit. To date all my communications with LG have been answered quickly and with useful information. I ask a lot of questions before I buy anything. The doors are 4 inches thick so it does stick out past the countertops. The doors are not zero clearance so that has to be factored into placement. Shelves are split and adjustable. Capacity is huge.
