Very disappointed the ice maker stopped working after six months. Repair person came out to fix said it was a known issue in the company and the fix lasted a few months and apparently the parts are not readily available for the repair people. Not a reliable product.

I bought this fridge a little over a year ago. I am pleased with all of its features and functions except for the craft ice maker. It quit at about 6 months in and I did not bother to replace until about a month ago. LG was quick to send a replacement but I had to install it my self. They did however send along 3 extra water filters for my willingness to replace it myself. Very easy install if your are handy with tools. Took about 15 minutes total. Overall I am happy with this unit so far.

Lemon of a freezer

I bought this refrigerator thinking how great it would be. Had problems with ice maker from the beginning. Craft ice would not work correctly. Then it started making a knocking noise. They put in new icemaker worked great for awhile then started knocking again. Then fridge started making a squealing noise. Tech said it was compressor they replaced that. Well the freezer still wont freeze like it should. Lost a gallon of ice cream and a 30 count of sausage. Scared to put anything else in the freezer. Tech came back out and said they could not touch it anymore so I am stuck with a lemon of a freezer.

Bought on 12/28 and delivered on 12/31. It was a quick shipment but that is the ony good news. The unit only worked for less than 2 days before going completely dark. Called LG and they stated they would get someone out in 5 days so no fridge for 5 days and thats before they would diagnose the problem. Spoke with LG who was no help. They said they would escalate but didnt really care since they wont replace the unit nor expedite the service. Stay away unit only lasted 2 days. Wheres their quality control?

Weak upper ice maker

I would give this refrigerator 5 Stars but 4 stars is all that I can give. This refrigerators upper ice maker is weak at best. The ice is on the small side and the ice will begin to melt and cube together. This results in having to open the ice chamber from time to time and breaking apart the clumps of ice with a long handled stirring spoon. Hopefully this can be corrected by LG.

I bought this fridge in Feb 2024 and it started showing problems in July 2024. I called the store and they said its within manufacturers warranty. I called LG and the process was a breeze. They sent a technician within a few days and he fixed the issue right away. Away from the issue this fridge has very nice features and I would repurchase with no doubt.

From day 1 had a water taste issue told me change the lines to plastic were its not recommended after 1 yr the door stays open after closing it customer service says it because the fridge is flat it needs to be tilted for the door to close properly

I love our fridge. It has taken me a bit to find the best configuration of shelves but love the extra drawer and all of the space it provides. We have had to have the craft ice maker replaced but LG was great about sending a repair man with parts to fix it. The craft ice is fun to have and great for keeping drinks cold longer. I actually give it a 4.5 star rating

Good size and function. I like the door in a door. Shelves could be a little more versatile for spacing. Unfortunately one time the freezer did not shut and that somehow caused the fridge section to freeze. Thats oaky except that it cause the ice / water line to freeze and burst. Now Im trying to get it serviced.

This refrigerator has all the bells and whistles that a homeowner would like I cant say enough good things about this refrigerator but let me start off by saying the refrigerator works. Perfect I love the different heights and the sliding bases that you can change for different things that are tall or smaller the two drawers for vegetables and fruit work fantastically and my freezer I have so much space That area in the middle is fantastic because it can be a freezer or a freezer area depending what you use it for to use it for more additional space for my freezer but Ive use it for other things before too. That didnt require too much coldness One of the best features is the water and ice area. This refrigerator gives you three types of ice crush cubed and a special gourmet globe This is so great for specialty drinks or alcoholic beverages This refrigerator also has a dim light for night time.

GET EXTENDED WARRANTY

Its a nice appliance but it will break right after the manufacturer warranty is out. First the craft ice maker stops working then the freezer fan goes out. If you buy this make sure you buy the extended warranty because LG is useless Its showing that the warranty is only one year considering how many issues this thing has.

The first month we had it the craft ice maker broke and had to be replaced. Now neither ice machines work and were told its the compressor and fan. Waiting on it to be fixed. Had to go by Ice.

We bought this fridge 1.5 year ago and have 2 times problems with motor fan . 1st time cover by the warranty . In about 3 mounth 2nd time the same arrow code and same motor . Not a good product - dont buy . and they want to charge us for 2nd time also even they replace it wrong not properly install by LG . Buy anything except LG

2 years in the first compressor was replaced 18 months later same issue. Craft ice maker broke at 2 years. This model replaced our previous model that was 10 years old and just out of compressor warranty. At least we didnt have trouble on that one in the first 10 years

We can never find help here in Wyoming. So far its awful. Yes the people are also friendly but they dont help at all. They always say we will escalate our request but nothing ever happens. Its almost been a month and its exhausting.

Complete Junk

Its the absolute junk of a refrigerator. We have owned ours for 4 years and have an extended warrantly for 5 years through the store we purchased it from. We have had the compressor replaced twice in 4 years. The refrigerator constantly sounds as if you are standing next to an electric company substation in that the humming noise can be heard from over 20 feet away. We the second compressor we had installed in July IS ALREADY FAILING. Whats worse is that the repair technician even told us he usually sees this model fail within a year. He literally said I am sure I will see you again in a few months ... our freezer does not get cold enough to keep ice cream hard and the milk in our refrigerator keeps spoiling. We could make another warranty claim but we have decided to just go buy a new non-LG refridgerator. When it was working I LOVED the craft ice but it so rarely worked.

I bought what I thought was a unit being discontinued by the MFG so it was marked down. The unit would not totally cool down from the get-go. It turns out this was a 4 year old unit and had the compressor replaced in 8/21. The LG tech told me it was probably a used unit and all I did was buy someone elses problem and even after his service call the unit still did not cool properly was very sporatic.
