Our LG fridge has been a really good fridge. It looks classy dispenses ice and water on the front door as well as produces gourmet ice balls in the freezer section. We recently had issues with the gourmet ice maker which LG made good at no charge by replacing and installing the new ice maker. It keeps everything cold and the freezer doesnt frost up.

Good solid kitchen appliance

Weve had this fridge a few years now and its been a solid workhorse for us. It looks nice. We enjoy the water and ice dispenser on the door as well as the gourmet ice machine in the freezer section. The only complaint we have is that it will stop making the gourmet ice after a few weeks and then we have to reset the ice maker. It takes at least 48 hours before ice starts being made again. The app feature is pretty cool as that is how we figured out how to get the ice going again.

Im extremely unhappy with the cooling performance of this unit. The setting on the temperature is 33. The refrigerator never gets below 39.1 degrees. They have replaced the board and told us that the best this unit will do.

Icemaker problem

I bought a 30 inch refrigerator First one did not come as truck broke down but not advised until after we unloaded or fridge. Had to reload everything. One week later they show up. Once again fridge unloaded and ready for them. Never got off the truck Doors were warped. Reload everything back into old fridge. Thurd attempt refrigerator delivered. Icemakers do not work. You have 48 hours to report issues. Reported to Home Depot. They sent delivery guy so was told to call LG for a repair person. The person I got a hold of sent me a you tube video and said if I did not find the secondary reset switch I would have to pay for the visit. Went to corporate and they were just as horrible. Home Depot said they were just sending a whole new refrigerator so once again I unloaded and they brought now the third refrigerator. Ice makers did not work. Once again you have 48 hours to report or you have to pay yet the instructions say it takes 48 hours to even start making ice. I just gave up. A week later the top icemaker started to work. The bottom craft icemaker has produced 6 cubes of ice. We are remodeling the entire house and all appliances I picked out were LG. After this nightmare I have changed my mind.

I ordered this fridge on Oct 2 and it was not delivered until Oct 14. It arrived damaged with 2 big dents. Sent it back and another arrived Oct 22 it been 20 days at this point. This one arrives damaged too with a big dent by the compressor and damaged water line and the technicians refused to install. I called and asked for a price adjustment as the price dropped 10 days after my purchase and they declined because I asked 16 days after and their policy is 14 days or less. I Still do not have the product. I called to ask for a 3rd replacement and maybe some compassion via a discount. They hung up on me. I called back and was offered to wait another 10-14 days for a new one or as a courtesy a full refund. I dont have the darn fridge You have not fulfilled your end of the bargain. Let me start looking elsewhere.

A known unit that has problems with the ice makers and compressors. Class action suits I think check yourself. This is just my opinion. Look up the known issues on line be informed before you purchase A major price drop theres a reason. Its a nice refrigerator if you discount the problems Ive had $3800.00 about big mistake my opinion. Can it be repaired after several attempts? Will it have problems again?

BEWARE This refrigerator is garbage.

If I could leave zero stars I would. 1 year 4 months after buying started having problems with the ice maker/water dispenser not working. Did ALL the trouble shooting. Paid for a servicer to come out and ultimately after 3 visits for diagnostics he said its a faulty compressor and to go through LG to fix it. So I did and the biggest customer service nightmare of my life ensued. Because this was under warranty they had to arrange the service appointments to send someone to fix it. They ignored me when I told them i need a new compressor or really a new unit altogether. I had no less than 4 appointments would have been 5 but they no-showed once over SIX MONTHS. Each appointment took several weeks to get and each was a waste of time because they would not listen. Going round and round in circles both with the joke of a service technician and the robots who act as customer service reps at LG. The communication process is designed to be incredibly difficult. Because you have to talk to a new customer service person at LG each time and cannot contact or speak directly with the servicing company they will be sending. It is like having an incompetent robot as your secretary making appointments on your behalf with another incompetent company who sends an impossibly clueless human to do a job they dont understand. It started to feel as though this was all on purpose and they never had any intention to fix anything. In the end after many many wasted hours of my life both on the phone w LG trying to explain the problem literally DOZENS of times starting from the beginning each time I called and with the numerous service visits- they give you a 4 hour window each time so you automatically lose 4 hours of your day for each of the many pointless visits and escalation to one of LGs presidential liaisons to resolve the issue they ended up cutting me a check for just over HALF of what I paid for the piece of garbage less than 2 years prior. The whole experience was so bad that I andvise everyone anyone to never buy a single LG product ever.

Very pleased with all the space in the refrigerator and freezer areas. The refrigerator has plenty of compartments and shelving to keep everything organized. The freezer is great for large items too. We have had side by sides and other freezers at the bottom but this model with the middle drawer is by far the best refrigerator we have had for space and organizing. Love the size of the ice cubes.

Weve had this new LG refrigerator for two weeks now and we couldnt be more pleased with the quality and functionality of this smart ThinQ refrigerator. First of all the delivery and installation team were flawless so no complaints there. So far the new unit has done everything as advertised including the functionality of both ice makers cube and craft ice. The refrigerator itself is very quiet and we noticed that our electricity bill has gone down a lot for these two weeks already since its replacing a 14-year-old refrigerator. The internal temperature never seems to vary from the 37 degrees/0 degrees default temperature setting. The folding shelf on the top right side is very handy and allows us to store tall wine bottles cartons and containers that dont fit in the inner door shelves either. And the Full Convert Drawer is so spacious and extremely versatile for chilling and cooling different types of foods and liquids. All in all an extremely satisfying purchase and a very wise investment

I am extremely disappointed with my LG refrigerator It was delivered to us July 3rd and have been getting the run around from LG This refrigerator does not cool to the temp it is set to. It is set at 33 degrees and the temp is 37-40 degrees at all times stuff is not very cold. Paid way too much money for it Your customer service sucks I have had no luck working with them All I get is someone will be in contact with you. Beware before you buy this product Service technicians arent available in my area or thats what they tell me

I have the refrigerator for a couple of weeks now. I love the unit but have a few dislikes. My craft ice does not form fully I am missing a portion of the sphere ice. I wish the control panel were backlit entirely. With the lighting in my kitchen I cant read all the options.

I have had this refrigerator for 3 days. Neither ice maker works getting it cold is a lesson in futility contacting customer service is just another one of those calls to another continent that never really gets anything done other than burn an hour or two of your time.They will want to send you parts and have you fix it yourself. Nothing screams quality like having to fix your brand new fridge yourself. Very dissapointed in LG to be honest with you. I remember when they were the go to brand. Obviously and I should have checked the reviews before I bought it...LG is not doing so well these days with making quality products. I expect to get some weird AI response about how I need to go check them out on a social media and shoot them a message. Seriously? I think its more prudent to pack this thing back up and on its way back to Home Depot. I could have gotten a better fridge at a fraction of the cost cant see the value in keeping this one.

I purchased this unit in August 2022. As of June 2024 less than 2 years of owning it Ive had the service repair out to visit 5 separate times over the past 1.5 months. Just scheduled the 6th visit and its the same issue every time it just doesnt get cold enough. Ice cube makers arent working as a result. Theyve already replaced the some major parts....still not working right. I regret purchasing this LG refrigerator.

Ice maker failed within one year

Refrigerator is less than 1 year old and ice maker has already failed. Dealing with LG Customer Support is an exercise in futility. Call and have to give same information multiple times. Actual technical support doesnt call back when they say they will. No way to get ice maker to work. Spoke with regular appliance repair man and he said he wouldnt work on LG refrigerators as the... motherboard is a piece of cardboard with tin foil on it... Very cheaply made. Will see if LG is going to honor their warranty - so far not.

Service surprise

We have hard water which led to the regular ice maker motor to burn out. So we called LG and they sent us a replacement kit which we had to install by watching YouTube videos. The directions LG sent were incorrect. The refrigerator is working now. I was just surprised that they didnt send out a service rep. I guess that is how they do it now?

Nice looking but poorly designed in some areas. Regular ice maker is very noisy. You can here like a gear noise along with a thunk No not when the ice falls but as it cycles The water and ice dispenser is poor placed and unless you have a large mouth glass the ice and or water misses and makes a mess Who designed this thing I was told by tech that the Craft ice maker is only reliable when making 3 cubes and not 6 Wow You advertise 6 ice cubes now Im being told it doesnt work and breaks often as mine did

Refrigerator is as unreliable as Customer Service

Had my refrigerator 6 months. After too many service calls and two compressors I have been told I am allegedly getting a replacement unit - still waiting. Have been living out of a cooler for weeks. Customer service had made a number of promises that I would hear from someone in LG regarding my concern but that doesnt always happen. The representatives have all been very nice and willing to help but many are hard to understand and the background noise from the other operators in the room make it even harder to understand what is being said. I have read other review where the problem is identical to what I am experiencing. Next question is this a lemon requiring a recall? D not recommend

The first person I talked to I could not understand. I had to ask her to repeat herself several times. I pride myself on understanding other accents or people from other countries. She also lied to me when to expect a call back on the fridge. The second day the next guy was easier to understand but he lied as well when to expect service. The third guy told me it had not even been picked up by a service company. So I sat home for 2 days waiting for the repair man when it was not even expected When I finally got a service repairman it was easily fixed and he even called back to make sure everything was ok. Your people need to be honest with customers even if they dont want to hear us complain

Ive had 6 visits from a PC Richard technician and the refrigerator still is not working properly. Wouldnt make ice and now doesnt dispense water. Parts on order again. Number 7 visit is scheduled for next Tuesday. It would have been cheaper to just replace the unit.

Bought one in 2017 and Loved it so much we bought it again in our new house in 2023. Looking forward to craft ice but that new feature is kind of a dud as it only produces ice when the quick mode is on and that mode seems to kick off after a batch. And even in fast mode you only get 1 round 5 cubes a day. Had the door in the door before and loved it. But gave up that feature to have more door storage space. Hubby loves the deep veggie bins. It would be darn near perfect if the freezer had pull out drawers instead of the bins. It is hard to find things in the freezer.

Everything I hoped forexcept for craft ice

I bought this a month ago and I am very happy overall. The refrigerator is spacious and well organized. The lighting is superb. I was most excited about the craft ice and that is the one place this has fallen short. The ice sphere production on the 3 ball setting is not a full sphere. Instead it looks like the Death Star from Starwars with a dimple at the fill top. Its a small complaint but the promise here was just not fully met.

I purchased this refrigerator in November of 22. I have had nothing but problems with it. It is currently not working and the schedule tech I had coming out tomorrow cancelled because they cant fix it. Now I am waiting for another LG Tech to get in touch

Love the fridge but craft icemaker disappoints

Bought this fridge 7/2023 for the freezer capacity. Love the door-in-door and convert drawer. The craft icemaker stopped working a few months ago. It took 4 weeks to get a tech out to look at it for 30 sec9nds and yup he knew immediately it had a faulty icemaker and board. It took 4 more weeks to get the part and have it installed. Now the craft icemaker has stopped working again UGGGGH Found out theres been a class-action lawsuit LG settled for this issue some years ago. If LG has known for several years this is a design flaw why havent they engineered a solution? At least its still under warranty so I hope it will get fixed again

Some Disappointment

The nugget ice cubes are ridiculous. Ice melts quickly. The craft ice cubes are a gimmick. You get 3 or 6 a day. The 6 makes cloudy ice cubes which are fine. My wife and Ali drink water with ice all day. Since the nuggets are useless we use the craft ice. What you are thinking is correct. The ice maker cannot keep up with our use.

I owned one for five years had to replace the door it would not make ice if your inside house/room temp was above 75 degrees. And after all that the compressor went out....Never again

Never Worked from the Beginning

I purchased my fridge in Nov of 22. It started with problems late January. A tech could not come out till the beginning of March. No problem I was patient. After the ice maker couldnt be repaired after service calls the freezer went out. It has been about 3 - 5 service calls and the unit is not working. Management still has not contacted me about a return or replacement.
