More room than I expected.

I used to have a side-by-side but opted for a regular freezer top instead. I was very surprised of the interior space and also the improved quality of the water from the water filter. The only drawback is that I keep bumping my head on the overhead freezer door whenever I close the Fruits and Vegetable drawers at the bottom drawer of the fridge. It is necessary to step back a half step first and not stand straight up in order to avoid the bump.

Worst company policy

LG company warranty policy is that if the service man find one bug then your warranty is voided.. No warranty for you. I put nice LG refrigerator in my tenant home and I think in about 1 year and couple month the compressor is gone. After trying to repair it did not work. Now the technician says it is LGs policy if they find any bug warranty is voided and we can not do nothing. Buy new at your own expense. I will never buy any LG product.

Early Compressor Failure

I bought this refrigerator in August 2022. Began using it daily in October 2022. The compressor quit working about 3 weeks ago. The repair group from the store where I purchased it is coming in 2 days to replace the compressor. I have been told that includes using a torch to cut the old one out. I am assuming that means the new one needs to be welded in. Seems that will create future points of failure. I am not happy that this happened in less than 2 years.

Buyer and customer care BEEARE This has been one of the WORST EXPERIENCES IVE EVER HAD They sold us a fridge almost a year ago and it has taken well over 6 months to get our money back They sent 4 different people to try and fix the said problem those timelines were never met on time not once and the customer care reps have no control over how the customer is treated We had a little girl whose medication needed to be refrigerated and LG could not have cared any less when we told them this to have a more timely response If I could give ZERO stars I would we will never recommend this product or company to anyone Now almost a year later they told me to cut the label out of the fridge and I could get a refund of my fridge which at first they were only willing to give us a credit and this was even after we were told we would get a refund if they could not repair the fridge after the THIRD try and that was like pulling teeth. Now they are having an issue getting us our money back because of some unanswered excuse that a concern needs to be raised or at least this is what Im being told now.

Weve owned this refrigerator for 4 years. At the 3 year mark the shelves started to fail. The last one broke two weeks ago. Heres what I learned: The plastic that the shelves are made of is not up to the task. It cracks and breaks where the shelves flex like near the edges. The problem is a lack of support across the whole shelf. Without adequate support the shelf flexes as items are removed and replaced. The shelves in the refrigerator also have to deal with many temperature changes from opening and closing the door. The result - over time the plastic becomes brittle then cracks and breaks. LG does not understand the issue very well. I ended up replacing one of the simple shelves with the shelf used to support the meat drawer because it was more robust. When the second one arrived about a month or two after the first it had been redesigned and the factory provided support had been reduced and was no longer protecting the weakest parts of the shelf. As a result I was forced to reinforce the shelves with additional metal bars myself to forestall future problems. The cost of the replacement shelves is very high. Ill be replacing the last of the four this week. The shelves cost $138 apiece The Crisper Drawer shelf was $125 and that did not include the glass or the shelfs mid support piece. Just the flimsy plastic frame. The frame is so flimsy that the first one I received came broken even though the shipping box was virtually undamaged. There cost to make this frame cant be more than a couple dollars the mark-up is unjustifiable. So lets see 3 shelves at $138 each = $414 one at $125 for a total of $539. I paid a little over $1000 for the refrigerator. Can you believe it? The shelves are half the price of the appliance and need to be replaced every three to four years I have never had a broken shelf in any other refrigerator Ive owned. They all lasted the life of the appliance. None of those refrigerators lasted less than 10 years without a problem. This is my first LG. Im very disappointed and hope the same designers/engineers that worked on the shelves did not work on any other part of the refrigerator. If you are buying this refrigerator for the short term its probably OK but a bad value. If youre looking for something that is reliable and will last a long time I would look elsewhere. Hope this is helpful.

Ice maker doesnt work

My refrigerator was delivered and installed July 31st. The in-freezer ice maker stopped making ice before Thanksgiving. I called LG and they told me how to reset/reboot. We tried that once a week for 3 weeks. After Christmas I called back and was given different instructions but the ice maker is an add on that was installed by the retailer so if I need a technician to fix or replace it we have to cover the cost. I do like the large-size of the top freezer and the bottom refrigerator. However most refrigerators have a meat and cheese drawer. This only has the 2 crisper frawers.

Fridge is nice and cold as is the freezer. But there is no light in the freezer and that is disappointing. We also found it is difficult to find things in the fridge as we are not used to bending over. Previously had a bottom freezer.

First one was making rattling noise in the back. Second replacement was making thumping noise when opening the bottom door. LG sent their authorized repair guy. He replaced a part that I doubted will resolve the issue and I was right. It obviously was a factory defect that he could not fix so he just pretended to fix by replacing a part which has nothing to do with the problem addressed to get paid by LG for extra service.

Very unhappy. Purchased a new LG refrigerator that we purchased through Lowes. The fridge was delivered and installed. The delivery person set it up and checked that all worked. All was fine except the interior water dispenser did NOT work. He played with it the filter checked out fine but no water came out. This was late Friday. Could not get ahold of anyone at Lowes. On Monday we called Lowes and called LG. Neither was able to help. Long story but customer service at both places was very bad. We are now stuck with a NEW LG fridge with a broken water dispenser.

Corporate Failure Duplicated

The refrigerator was purchased with the ice maker listed for that unit on the Lowes computer site and also listed on the instore computer. The refrigerator was delivered and the ice maker installed. I was instructed to pull a couple gallons of water from the interior water dispenser and dump two loads of ice to insure clean water and ice. When I checked the freezer there was no ice. Called Lowes and they sent someone out to fix the ice maker. Guess what wrong ice maker. This unit takes a special ice maker made for this type of refrigerator which the computer sites did not list. It takes two months to get the ice maker and is only available from LG I know because I called all over the USA and there are none to be had. You would think a company as big as Lowes would have the correct ice maker listed in there computer system and have at least one on hand somewhere is this country. But LG doesnt have one available either. They have to ship it in from overseas. Once again the big corporations screw up and the consumer gets the shaft. But I have to say the refrigerator has worked beautifully.

I purchase this refrigerator in October was suppose to come with an ice maker the one they send didnt have the right water valve for the ice maker. It has water inside the fridge so it takes a different valve for the ice maker. I contacted LG they have me the icemaker number but the lowes I purchased it from can not get the correct part. There parts house sent me a valve but its still the wrong one. The only reason I bought a new fridge was for the Ice maker and I still do not have one. I have a 13 month old LG refrigerator. It stopped working and I asked LG to check the problem since the issue could be under warranty as I was told. In addition I was told that if the problem is out of warranty I will get a chance to know the repair price before making a decision. However the technician could not provide any information about that and he just told me that it is a minor issue. However I was charged about $600 for this repair which is almost the same price as the buying a new one. The problem is with the grill fan and the website mentions that it is a $200 repair. I called the customer service number to reduce the bill. A ticket was opened but never resolved. Called many times in the past several months and still not resolved. LG has the worst quality and worst customer service. I will stay away from in and tell my experience to other people to stay away from it. Very very disappointed

Ive had the refrigerator for 2 weeks. I ordered the ice maker separately from LG because it would not be available from the appliance store for more than 6 weeks. The refrigerator came with 4 small dents in the door so the appliance store repairman will replace the door for us this week. He installed the ice maker and we do have water AND ice contradictory to other reviews that Ive read about this model. I miss having a meat and cheese drawer but I kept the drawer from my old refrigerator and laid it on a shelf but then it takes up space on the shelf. The refrigerator section is way big enough but the freezer on top seems to be smaller than our old freezer part of the same size refrigerator.. I dont like all of the fingerprints on the front of the stainless steel refrigerator.

Our repair guy I would give five stars. The only reason why I gave this two stars is because I was extremely disappointed to find out that the parts of this LG refrigerator are cheap plastic. I only have the refrigerator a year and already the fan went. I saw the fan and I was so perplexed that the product is made with junk. Definitely not worth the money.

I bought this refrigerator 1 year ago. For the first 11 months everything was great. Then a noise started and eventually the circulation fan failed. It took almost a month to get it fixed due to parts back log and time to get a technician out. Now that it has been fixed everything is great again.

I was disappointed with this newer version of this model. I bought the exact same fridge a year ago and purchased it again thinking I was getting the same one. This newer version did not come with a pantry drawer the bottom door shelf and it did not come with an ice maker like my older model.
