Need repair

We love our new refrigerator BUT about a month ago after a power outage we started getting an error code. We took a few days to figure out what was wrong and a few more days to do what it said to do for that particular error. The fix didnt work. About two2 weeks ago I contacted Costco customer service that is who we purchased it from. They set up a repair visit from Lg. Saying we would get an email from Lg saying when they would be out to repair our refrigerator. I check at least every other day but so far no emails about the repair. We love Lg products. We have 2 microwaves 4 TVs a washer and a gas double oven stove. Dont know if there is a miscommunication or what but we would really like to get our refrigerator fixed.

Dirty Ice that Doesnt go away doors slam

We love the look the space and the glass door. We bought it for the craft mini cubed crushed and cubed ices that it produces. After we hooked it up the ice was shedding what looks like pulp galley dust and the water tasted like chlorine chemically. We figured the lines just needed to flush even after we purged the water filter like we had on our other fridge. After 2 weeks of emptying the ice daily the water still tasted like a hose. I finally went out and bought a new water filter and replaced it. Yay the water finally tasted like our water. I dont understand why but almost a month later the ice is still just as nasty. Perhaps its really nasty lines the ice collects water from but it looks disgusting and I hope its not carcinogenic. If this was not a problem Id give it 4.5 stars because the door hinges need a soft close to keep them from slamming.

I will never buy another LG refrigerator until you correct your compressor problems. Failed 2 months outside of warranty and repair cost labor is nearly the cost of a new fridge.

My Love Affair with My New LG Refrigerator

I cant even begin to express how much I adore my new LG refrigerator. This is my third fridge and its like Ive finally found the one. Let me dive right into why this appliance has become the crown jewel of my kitchen. First off the Mirror InstaView is a lifesaver when Im cooking up a storm for family dinners. Just a simple knock and I can see exactly where my basil and mozzarella are for the Caprese salad without even opening the door. Its like having X-ray vision but for my fridge. The Door-in-Door feature has made my life so much easier especially during my weekend meal prep sessions.
