Trash quality and unreliable. Lasted 15 months

I thought LG had a reputation for quality but after buying this appliance I learned otherwise. They add random technology to these refrigerators that are made to keep the food cold as the primary purpose. The ice balls that it makes are cool but the appliance isnt worth $5 if it cant keep the food cold. Bought this piece of garbage in November of 2022. It already has a broken fan motor causing all the ice to melt in the fridge portion For the ice dispenser and I come home to water damage all around my fridge and cabinets. I am so glad it told me what is wrong so I can pay LG $400 to fix a motor that costs $20 if that. Thank you for making my choice in refrigerators a simple one and to never touch LG made products ever. Makes sense why their warranty is for 1 year since it wont last 2 years. Go with another manufacturer NOT LG.

Beautiful fridge but has design issue

I have had this almost 1 year now. Overall its a beautiful fridge however there is a design issue. The freezer drawers come off the tracks if you have too much food items in them. I even contacted LG Warranty about this and they said they would call me back and never did. This was not a cheap fridge - this design flaw is incredibly annoying considered how expensive it was

Nice refrigerator Shows a tremendous amount of fingerprints. Prepare to clean the door every day. Ice maker works beautifully. Except I probably dumped 50 loads of ocean because it TASTES terrible. Replaced the filter twice.

Oh that top freezer drawer

We like the storage capacity of the refrigerator water and ice and the door-in-door function. The water had a strong chemical taste for the first 9-ish months. The ice still has a chemical taste when it has melted though it is more subtle now nearly a year later. The top freezer drawer holding the ice consistently comes off of the track falling into the smaller drawer below it preventing us from accessing anything in that middle drawer without first lifting the top one back onto the rack. We have attempted to adapt by storing very few light items in that top freezer drawer but the drawer continues to fall and get stuck. It is quite heavy with the ice in there to lift back up onto the track again which makes it a hassle. This limits the freezer capacity from what is stated as available.

I have had my refrigerator since 6/8 and its so nice. I have so much room in it and the ice choices are great. My husband loves the insta view and quick access thats where I put his things and he does not have to ask me where something is at some much easier well worth the extra cost.

This is a one month review of my new LG Refrigerator. It has room to spare for food storage and an amazing amount of room in the freezer. Love the window door quick access for the most used items during the day. This refrigerator is so efficient at maintaining a cold temperature we had to raise it up from the recommended 37 degrees. Ice maker works great.

Good refrigerator needs some design help

Great refrigerator Had an old LG and the design on this is better from the perspective of usable interior space. Only negatives are that there should be more room to adjust shelves eg. more shelf brackets and that we had a problem because the spec sheet does not indicate how wide you need on either side of the refrigerator for the doors to open fully. We have 29 but the left door is next to a wall and it cannot fully open. Please include the information on your specs and/or change the hinge configuration so it does not need so much clearance.

I love love love my new fridge......however..............it is very disheartening that it is already needing repair. It is only 6 months old and I am waiting on repair. It is still under mfg warranty so it will not cost but all the same I have a broken fridge. The parts seem to be difficult to get. I have been waiting and have contacted LG several times and finally today was able to chat with a real person. I was told it is pending.

Endless Ice

This is a large refrigerator with enough room for our busy family. I like the three types of ice. We havent run out yet. The app is intuitive and keeps me up to date on the condition of the appliance. My only complaint is the plastic compartments will break but LG has been good about standing behind their warranty.

Nice frig but could be better

Had the frig installed yesterday. No problems with the install and the frig seems to be working ok for now. It looks nice but we have a couple of concerns: 1 In ALL the online pictures and seeing the model at the store the instaview door has a stainless frame. Ours did not Instead it has an edge to edge instaview window with no trim. LG says that this is correct but we dont think so. If it is then LG needs to change ALL the online pics and explain why the model at the store has the stainless frame. 2 While the interior is spacious there is not much room for taller items milk cartons1 liter drink bottles etc. You can put 2 milk jugs in the door and if you push the split shelf back you can stand up some other taller items in front of the pushed in shelf otherwise you have to lay the items down. The split shelf is nice and the entire shelf can be adjusted upward but this leaves little space for any storage on the shelf other than something short. It would have been a better design to make it possible to remove the adjustable half of the split shelf completely. This would leave much more space for extra milk1 liter bottles etc.

Im surprised at how much I love this refrigerator. It works I love the 3 drawers in the freezer. Although you cant really move the shelves there is room for everything. The left side door panel doesnt hold standard width jars but overall its been a great value.

Ice Taste Bad

We purchased this refrigerator because it had three ice makers. The ice maker in the door / water taste fine but the Craft ice Mini cube ice in the bottom freezer we cant use because everyone complains about the funny taste. We like all other features about the unit but if we cant use all three ice makers weve wasted our money. If you could give us some advice on fixing this problem it would help.

Ice tastes like chemicals

We had a previous model of this fridge. Loved it sold it with the house so had to get a new one. We were excited about the multiple ice options. That ia the issue. The ice tastes like chemicals. We have had the fridge for serveral months still tastes bad and it is specific to the ice not the water. Customer service advised us to change out the supply line to a pex line. We did and it still tastes bad. This is a brand new house. a second fridge has not issues. As far as other complaints i see people sharing- The cup handles are fine. The lights are adjustable though an app if you think they are too bright at night. We have not had the problem with the ice shelf in the freezer coming off the track. The door in door is made to store milk. It is plenty cold there this is a modern appliance. The main reason we purchased this specific model is for the craft ice and it is inedible. Very disappointing

Huge fridge lacking shelf space.

1 InstaView is a silly and - in my opinion - useless feature. I dont need to see my ketchup every time I open the door. 2The lights in this thing are way over the top. Get up in the middle of the night for a glass of water and just because you pass the refrigerator it lights up the room. The dog walks past the refrigerator and the light comes on. 3 The shelves can be moved but you wont want to do that. The carton of milk does not fit on the top shelf but if you lower the top shelf the space between the bottom of that and the next shelf is 4. Room for baby jars and little bouillon jars reaching into the back for one will be intersting. 4 Allowing room for the milk carton on a shelf means collapsing that one shelf back. That causes the loss of a lot of shelf space. Yes the milk carton would fit on the door BUT that means warmer milk that spoils faster. Most other tall items do have to be stored in the door as theres nowhere else to put them.

Love everything about this unit. The craft ice is amazing The pocket door handles are something to get used to but love the clean handle-free look. The ThinQ app and WiFi are a good thought but the unit drops connection every few days and have to delete them add it back.

Love the new fridge already

Not sure if this is representative yet. But I thought putting out my initial impression is a good idea. The delivery went smoothly -although I do have to say that I need some help with the leveling and would appreciate LG reaching out. The refrigerator is at 39 degree after not even 5 hours and the freezer reads about 10 degrees. So this is good. Someone mentioned the drawer in the freezer not being great. I do not find anything wrong with it. I was concerned prior getting the refrigerator but I am confident that there is no issue after seeing it. The mirror is interesting. I have to get used to seeing myself before opening the door. Lol. I like how quite it is operating. I am very sensitive to noise and really cant stand high frequency noise. I had an old LG that failed and after getting a repair that one drove me nuts. And made me buy a new LG. Glad I did. Cant say anything about the ice as this is too early to tell. I downloaded the app and registered the appliance. Got the extra year warranty already added after 1 hour. That is awesome. The app works good too. Nice features and I am sure to check the consumption and other information.

Poor quality product and TERRIBLE customer service

Top drawer in the freezer keeps falling off the rails and crashes into the drawer underneath. LG sent out a tech who said its warped and is a manufacturer defect to my face but refuses to put it in writing. LG refuses to do anything to correct their defect. Never experienced such blatant violation of the Magnusson Moss Warranty Act.

Freezer draw bad design

The freezer draw that holds the ice from the 2 ice makers in the fridge is not on a track but on a ledge. This allows it to fall off everytime you use the draw.

Flaws on this top of the line fridge.

Top drawer of the freezer will not stay on the tracks once it reaches operating temperature and has ice in the bins. LG techs came out and really said just dont put anything on the drawer except for the ice because it warps once loaded but their marketing photos show a FULLY loaded top freezer drawer as attached to this review. So they really designed a freezer drawer with plenty of room for storage and advertise its meant for frozen food storage but its actually only meant to store ice? I also compared the drawer on several floor models from different stores there is some variance but this particular fridge I bought seems to be way out of spec at zero degrees Celsius yet LG refuses to acknowledge. Buyer beware...

I love this fridge but the water quality is off. The ice tastes bad and the craft ice barely makes ice. I have troubleshot this issue with the available online materials flushed everything way more often than than required yet these issues still remain. Its such a bummer.

Ample room.Ice options and door-within-a-door

We have only had this a few days due to two previous attempts by Home Depot delivery drivers to provide a unit without denting and/or damaging it but we love it so far Itts cavernous. We havent done a major shop yet but theres room for half the store. Were still arranging things for maximum ease but the biggest features we love so far are the door-within-a-door and the different ice shapes. We both have Cirkul bottles flavored water delivery system. so were filling them constantly. The mini-cubes are great for cooling the water while the craft ice keeps it cool and melts a lot slower.
