BUYER BEWARE

The only reason I gave this stove a 1 out of 5 is because -5 wasnt available. My wife purchased this stove mostly for the Pro Bake feature as she bakes bread and cookies often. After a year of using the self clean feature the walls of the stove bowed out and were unable to hold the racks in place. This caused a grease fire when the middle rack collapsed from the bowing walls which we didnt know about. We then had a service man come from where we bought the unit at Bellingham Electric they were great and the tech told us that this situation can happen when using the self-clean feature too much my wife used it 7 times last year. Define Too much LG. Its gets better. The tech then explained that LG do NOT state this in the owners manual so this is more of a Buyer Beware matter and we now have a stove that we paid over $2000 for but cannot use. We also paid a cleaning crew come to rid the house of smoke following the fire. The Grand Finale was dealing with LG customer support. LG told us that the stove wasnt under warranty and that we needed to deal with the company we bought it from. What a real $hit-show If I didnt have purchased all LG components together with this stove confection oven/microwave oven/dishwasher/refrigerator then Id go to another brand. So for now Im stuck with this crap BUT come replacement time we will NEVER buy LG again. If anything goes wrong even if serious nature your on your own and left holding the bag if your an LG customer. Lastly customer service couldnt have cared any less that my wife and I had had a fire and dealt with this mess with new appliances at all. Its a shame that many big companies dont seem to care about anything except when it comes to taking your hard earned money Shameful to say the very least. I will be taking this matter further and to social media as well because I feel compelled to warn folks about not getting shafted as my wife and I already have by LG.
