Product is 1.5 years old about 3 months ago the steamer component kept ejecting itself wouldnt lock in place. We had never used the piece. I called to arrange a service visit was told it would cost $600 to have someone come out. Because of the cost of repair I removed the part and using the oven without the steamer part. Disappointing.

1 Month in - the combo works as expected... however your interface and controls are poorly designed. The touch screen controls buttons must touch precisely and theyre small buttons. If I end the microwave cook time it asks for a confirmation this is redundant and not required. These are examples of where better design would easily make the product better.

I would choose another unit if I had to do it over. This is my second of these units as the first one developed a loud vibration when using the microwave and it couldnt be fixed. Now this unit. The replacement unit the microwave quit working. It has been fixed but my confidence is so low that I purchased an extended warranty.

Defect water reservoir

No Issues until this past weekend when the water reservoir spontaneously popped out and will not go back in. According to internet reviews/complaints this is a common problem at approximately 2 years. I called LG and it is still not considered recall. For an oven/microwave to cost almost 4K youd think they want to fix the problem immediately. Instead the assembly replacement alone is $200 according to their website. Shame on you LG

I purchased this LG microwave in June 2021 and have barely used it. Since day one Ive reported issues with the loud exhaust fan noise which takes 1-2 minutes to shut off besides the excessive time over 2.5 to 3 minutes it takes to heat a cup of coffee at full power. Despite contacting LG and Best Buy during and after the warranty period no repair or replacement was provided. Now the display panel has failed and the repair will cost over $500 for an appliance used less than a year. Its been five days without a response from LGs presidential customer service. Im disappointed especially since I bought several LG products expecting better quality.

Great product except for one key problem

This oven looks great and works well. Love the blue interior. Unfortunately the blue has been scraped off where the two bottom racks rub against it. Thats because either the racks are too wide or the oven is too narrow. LG sent us new racks and that helped but did not fix the problem. Frustrating that its so difficult to push or pull the racks. Doesnt feel safe to push or pull hard when hot food is on the rack. Im really hoping that where the blue coating has been scraped off that we dont have bigger problems down the line. If not for this problem Id rate the oven at 5 stars.

Water Tray Broken

The water tray does not stay in the water housing assembly. I have never used the steam feature on the oven and it is already broken. This appears to be a systematic issue as many others have complained about the same problem. It appears that there is a small plastic hooking mechanism that has broken. Suggestion by many others is that this is a design defect to have a small plastic piece within this unit. LG have you recalled this part yet?

Life-Changing Oven

I bought this oven nearly two years ago. I was focused on the features I wanted in the main oven convection three hefty racks with at least one on a slide and an integrated food thermometer and I didnt even look at the microwave features. I only expected to use it to reheat leftovers. Well the microwave has legitimate convection baking thanks to a halogen heating element. I did some baking specifically to test the convection in the main oven. For one test I put cookies on two sheet pans in the oven at the same time without moving the sheet pans AT ALL and once I took them out of the oven I couldnt tell which cookies had been on which rack. Amazing. Ive also baked a pie in the upper oven microwave while I was roasting something in the main oven. Ive always wanted a double oven and this oven functions as one. This was a 24-year jump in oven technology for me and it was life-changing. Two complaints. One the instructions are very poor when it comes to using the upper oven. When do you swap the glass turntable for the metal turntable? The instructions are unclear and Ive even seen contrasting advice from LG representatives to online questions on this topic. Also the main oven has a steam function but the water chamber is held in place by a tiny plastic piece that broke very quickly. It was replaced under warranty both ovens had to be slid out of place and separated for the repairman to access the part but it was a poor design. If I could I would take off a half-star for these issues.

Service Issue

I bought this appliance Costco.com and ran into some noise issue within the first few months. I reached out to the Costco and reported the issue. Costco reached out to LG and LG apparently appointed a local repair contractor called Service Quick. Service Quick sent their young crew 3 times and they replaced a motor and some other parts but the problem was worst than before. As of today we are still waiting for some resolution about the issue which was initially reported back in July last year.

Oven broke 3 months out of warranty. Called LG service. Was told flat rate repair charge tech would come out with parts for our issue and fix same day. Arranged to be at home to meet tech between 8-12 am. Tech showed up at 3 pm no parts. Inspected oven for about 5 minutes and left. Came back three days later with parts. Only 1 hour late this time. One tech for a 202lb wall mount oven. Fixed issue but could not install back in cabinet by himself. Left oven partially in cabinet and unsecured. Major safety issue with 3 kids in home. Called LG. Spent two hours on the phone getting bounced around. LG would not/could not commit to sending two people to correctly and safely install the oven they removed. Ended up hiring a local company to finish the job. We also bought an LG fridge at the same time as this oven and the water dispenser in the door is plumbed with push to connect fittings. Hoses will not stay in fittings. Leaks constantly. Ruined our kitchen floor had to install LVT. Will never buy an LG product again.

I like the versatile settings of this combination oven but I have a problem with the design. The top microwave oven opens outward from the bottom instead of from the side like most microwave ovens. This makes it very hard to reach into since it is up high and makes it difficult to remove heavy casseroles etc. and almost impossible to clean without climbing on a step stool.

Glass shattered no replacement

The exterior glass randomly shattered after 6 months of light use. We were literally sitting on the sofa and heard an explosion in the kitchen while we were making a pizza. It took multiple attempts on chat to get a repair person out. He came with the wrong part and then said that a there was no way to get a new part and b we might not qualify for a replacement. We have no oven to host Christmas and no ETA on any remedy. This situation is beyond frustrating. Apparently this is a best selling oven and yet they dont have parts for it. And they do not seem to have a plan for any replacement. Sigh

Model has an upper section that is microwave and convection oven. Microwave works great however dont like the fan staying on after each microwave use. The turntable works fine but should be able to turn it off while using the convection oven feature. The lower oven can be either a regular oven or a convection oven. Both work fine. The steam clean feature doesnt work properly and is totally useless. It is very complicated to get the range hooked up to the WiFi. Never succeeded in getting it hooked up. Useless feature anyway. Lots of bells a whistles. Too bad some never worked right and the warranty expired before I even thought to use them. Im sure the whole system will fail within 10 years considering some features never worked right to begin with.

Bought this 2 months back for a great open box sale. Its an excellent product with microwave and oven and loaded with features that includes wifi. After installation I have had an issue with the oven not turning OFF and Microwave not turning ON however I did a factory reset and everything works normal now. I also have the extendeded warraty for 3 years from Lowes a peace of mind.

We like it a lot quiet and good looking. We really wished it had a back lighted panel. It is difficult to see controls even in the daytime in the evening forget about it. Some complained about having to turn off the microwave after use or it continues to beep but it is not a big issue with us.

At this time it is not working for the 3rd or 4th time. Stuckwisch Appliances was here to service it last week only to be told by tech support it needed more parts ordered again. We have been without oven and or microwave more than we actually have gotten to use. Stuckwischs did give us a microwave to keep here so we at least have a microwave to use. Every holiday since we got this it has not worked. We are fed up and want this replaced with a different one. Stuckwischs have asked for an RA to return and get this replaced for us. Very dissatisfied that something that cost so much money has so many problems with it and is not usable.

My appliance was never fixed. The tech showed up looked it over ordered a pair of new fuses. The fuses showed up two days later but I never saw the tech again. He had gone on vacation and wouldnt answer his phone. This was two days before Thanksgiving I hired a tech from ABW which cost me $155.but he slapped the fuses in and buttoned it up. Someone named Nikita from LG Customer Support kept swearing she was going to get someone out to complete but that never happened. I posted a picture of the oven in the wall and she called right back only to tell me she couldnt have gotten anyone there until 11/29. I asked her about the $155 and she said shell get back to me. Im not holding my breath. I am a high-end kitchen remodeler in Washington DC artdesignbuild.com We remodel about 25 kitchens a year. I got stuck with this oven during the pandemic. Guess which appliance company we will NEVER recommend?

we bought this and had it installed summer of 2019. We bought the matching blue range oven as eell so we would have a set. But recently the microwave just stopped. it would spin and make you think its business as usual but there would be no heat. Then the turn table would make aweful noise the next time we tried it a week later. We are afraid we will have to return the entire unit because repairing appliances seems to be a thing of the past. Prior to this we loved it... because it worked without question.

We had originally purchased another make but before delivery we had some doubts and I am glad we did. The Combo Microwave and Convestion Oven is beautiful and quiet. We are still learning to master the operations but it will all come. Our only wish would have been for a lighted display we have a light over the unit but it sure would have been great to have the control panel lighted.

Not great oven. The buttons on the oven are confusing. Timer cannot be set in seconds only minutes. Auto cooling feature of the microwave starts the fan even if you use the microwave foe 2 seconds. The fan runs for 1-2 minutes consuming power unnecessarily. Called LG support and they were not sure of hiw the auto cooling feature works. They sent a tech home and he said that is std and the fan will start everytime. Overall not a great product.

This is our first LG purchase based on out current experiences it wont be the last. The combo arrived wrapped tightly and carefully so nothing was scratched or marred. The opening for the combo needed to be slightly enlarged as the previous combo was smaller. Hooking it up to the electricity was easily done. The manual is clearly written we excitedly tried the oven. Perfect. When we tried the microwave there was an issue with the door not shutting so operation could begin. We called LG and a kind and helpful lady set up an appointment with a service man. A week passed before he could come but he resolved the issue quickly. So far the micro is working well. He also was kind and helpful in fact he made sure he would come out again should we have this issue or any other. We love the finish of the unit. It is sleek and modern and is a nice complement to our other stainless appliances.

Oven installed in March 2023. Unable to use oven. Major damage done to the cavity of the oven due to fan failure. Electric shorted out smell of electrical melt down filled my kitchen. LG refuses to swap out oven for a new. LG wants to repair. If I dont agree to have them fix it they wont do anything to make the oven safe.

Customer Service is Horrible

The product is fine the customer service team is horrible. I had two interactions with the CS team regarding a warranty issue and neither one was good. Simply put I let the agent know that I will never ever own another LG appliance as long as I have anything to say about it. In fact we recently purchased a new TV and when the option came down to which brand LG was not even a consideration. The biggest drawback of the microwave itself is that the lettering is so dark it is impossible to see the controls for it or the oven without turning on a light in the kitchen. Lighter text or backlighting would be nice.

The oven failed to heat properly time and time again. Based on conversation with LG rep its subject to recall. It has no backlight making it difficult to read. The repair contractor they sent said he was not strong enough to install lower element but would get help then his boss said nope we cant do that. Good luck with their customer service staff.

Its been a month I have been using the oven and I am not very with the features. The oven cooling starts eveytime I use the microwave even if it is for 5 seconds. Some of the buttons to use the microwave timer etc are confusing and not user friendly. The timer has a min of 1 min setting. I cannot use it for lesa than that.
