Good microwave bad install

Overall the microwave itself is great. However I have serious complaints about the install process. You need good studs AND good overhead/sides support to mount this thing proper. Additionally they ask that you use an outlet. Not everyone can do that depending on how your home is set up. Installation instructions are vague at best.

Love my new microwave The integrated handle on the side rather than on the front makes for a minimal and sleek look. And I love the display panel integrated into the door. Feels so much bigger and definitely a visual upgrade to my old microwave.

Great vent amazing Microwave

I was very skeptical in general on over the range microwaves as effectiveness in the vent but this one is an excellent choice. We have the exhaust going outside and basically we can do any frying and no smell inside. It is very powerful and we can see how the smoke is exhaust. The microwave is super quiet and the design we simply love it. Totally worth the money spent

Extendavent hangs crooked

The extendavent hangs crooked. Doesnt look good. 1/4 gap on left 1/8 gap on right. Right side sits back from the front of the unit. Seems to be working so far. Not covered by warranty. LG says it was caused during installation even though a replacement unit was inspected in the box and had the same problem only worse. I think LG now has a manufacturing issue with the vent which they are trying to blame on installers.

I needed to replace our over the range microwave vent hood and searched out several different brands and decided to purchase this LG model. The extend a vent is really what caught our attention as it could possibly help keep steam from rising up onto our cabinets above. So far it has worked great. The only recommendation I have is to print the mounting diagram on heavier weight paper. It was very difficult for one person to hold flimsy paper and tape it in location for the mounting holes. Possibly print it on the cardboard box if you could.

Great and stylish microwave

I like all the features the microwave has. I do wish that you could program the time for the light on the bottom from the buttons on the microwave. You have to use the app for that feature. The app is easy to use. The extendable vent is a nice feature also it slides out most of the way by itself but usually sticks a liitle at the end and you have to give a slight pull to extend all the way. At 100 power it heats food up fast. It is very quiet while running and plays a short song when finished.

Ive been using this oven for a month and it has worked as expected The QR code to connect it to the ThinQ app does not work and the app is not detecting the oven I chatted with the supportt team 2 times but no sucess I havent been able to connect it to the wifi and use the smart part of it.

Flawed when microwave is flushed against a wall.

I like it but when it was installed we tried to open the door but because it was flushed against a wall it would not open. We had to uninstall it and then cut a hole into the drywall. Then reinstall it again and because of the hole in the drywall we were then able to open the door. We called LG before we had to do all of this but they were not helpful. We had to figure this out all on our own. My old microwave factored in this issue and I had no problems opening the door. So I was surprised this design did not try to fix this flaw. It was a pain installing because of this issue

I have used this LG microwave about a month now and am so happy this is the one I went with. It was a learning experience for me as my old one was 20+ years old with not as many features. I like everything about this LG and love the exhaust feature that can be made to extend out over the stove a bit with just one little push on the housing. There are 4 filters which is great also. I do wish the letters were a easier to see.

We purchased all appliances. The dishwasher is wobbly. The stove top is nice but the knobs are shakey. The microwave all ready fell apart and although after two tries we received the right part my husband is the one who had to take his time to fix it. We love the refrigerator.
