I have had this unit for several weeks now and after loads and loads it is still amazing to me. The settings are plenty but also clear and simple. The spin cycle on the washer is EXCELLENT so far. It is very quiet yet very efficient at the tasks I set them to.I am so impressed as a stacking unit there is no shaking at all even as with a larger loadI was worried that might be the case. When each of the washer or dryer is finished there is a pleasant melody that lets me know they are done. I bought the extended warranty and read what is covered and it seems a very fair deal. Also be aware to never quickly use buttons let them have time to relay to the computer this is an electronic. I am truly in Laundry heaven and I wish I could have had this unit sooner. LIFE-IS GOOD :

I lived in an apartment before and I had a washer/dryer so I decided to upgrade to a single unit with one. Now here is why I give this a one-to-no-star rating. The washer comes with a power cord at the bottom however the dryer on top does not. Why? LGs justification is that it is an accessory. Wow these are my questions: would you buy a car without a gas tank? Would you buy a Laptop without a power cord? Why should I buy a dryer that uses power from an electrical outlet without a complete power cord? The manufacturer should not be allowed to sell consumers an incomplete manufactured product. LG CUSTOMER SERVICE AND THEIR FIELD SERVICE NEED TO LEAVE WHAT THE WORD RETENTION MEANS.

Very poor quality. Installed 2 weeks ago. The problem is NOT the installation. Ran a rinse and spin cycle as instructed upon installation. The entire drum of water leaked out the bottom. Could not stop the cycle from running. Requested a repair online. 2 weeks later still no response from LG. Have followed up repeatedly. Have spent over 3 hours on the phone.

I wouldve liked feature upgrades that came out while I was waiting such as internal detergent tank. Im happy with the LG tower. It did need service 1 month out of warranty. I recommend buying the service contract on this. I usually dont but with the size of tower I didnt want to deal with any problems. The hot water fill didnt shut off and the tank filled up with water over night. Will see how it goes from here. If it holds up it is great.

Pretty to look at frustrating when stops working

We have had our washtower for about 20 months we loved it for its sleek look and space saving. But about a month ago we started having it throw random codes on the dryer like the ventilation system being blocked - checked all the vent stuff even took it all apart and cleaned and it wasnt blocked at all - not even really dirty were a 3 person household..so not a ton of laundry. Then started throwing a no power code that says there is some problem with the house power/wiring - had it all checked and its fine dryer still not working and throws both codes. Have replaced so many sensors and parts for the dryer and still having problems. Its really frustrating to pay so much for something and then have it not work right after such a short time. Not sure that I would recommend buying one at this point maybe were just unlucky. LG troubleshooting is no help.

Washer / Dryer Tower broke down after 3 to 4 uses

After 3 trial uses my washing machine would no longer power up. LG was responsive in sending a technician out to evaluate the issue while still under warranty. 2 parts were found to not be functioning - one of those parts on back order with no ETA. Pretty disappointing. After 4 to 5 calls expressing my displeasure LG agreed to replace the entire unit. Hopefully it shows up this Tuesday.

Because LG took two months six visits 3 times the parts were wrong to then determine the unit must have been broken during the shipping and not their fault i have no idea if it works. No one would take it away either. But they gave me a 15 coupon - which I wont use. If you are going to validate or invalidate the claim you need to determine this faster because your own technician claimed she had the wrong part three times because LG sent the wrong oneso the unit was literally in the middle of my kitchen for 10 weeks. Terrible. and though you want this to be about the product only I contacted you over seven times no one was listening.

Decent small space large capacity stacked washer

Purchased in December as had to replace a set when the dryer failed. Both parts of the tower are higher capacity with many options. Downoadable programs help provide more options but require mobile phone to use those cycles. There is limited ability to change things in those cycles making it harder to customize per load. I miss a couple of washer features - the short load is rather harsh resulting in fabric feeling coarser and more wrinkly. permanent press is a downloadable only cycle not standard option. Dryer not so good at producing wrinkle free items even when immediately removed. Not sure if this because washer cycles result in more wrinkles therefore wrinkles remain even after drying. Same cycle issues with dryer - less customizable except with downloadable programs. Would like to create my own cycles but cant seem to figure out if that is possible.

Love my LG stackable washer and dryer. You can use less detergent and still get clean clothes. The dryer dries clothes faster. I am short so having the controls at eye level is great. They also look great so sleek. It has all the different features youll ever need.

The washtower has been an amazing upgrade from our past two bulky units. Living in an older home with little room for modern appliances the stacked unit helped us take back some much needed floor space. Having the controls at the same arm level is pretty nice too.

The product works well but customer service is terrible. Delivery was late and I was never given any updates on my late delivery. When I called LG to complain they offered me a $150 inconvenience credit which was to applied against my account. I did reach out to them after the installation and they never applied my credit. Terrible customer service experience and they should honor my credit

Excellent Washtower Poor Customer Experience

The LG Washtower WKE100HVA itself gets 4 stars. Unfortunately LG as a company particularly from a customer support and customer experience perspective gets only 2 stars. The Washtower is pretty compact and does the job. Using the ThinQ app there are many features which are useful and we can tell both the washer and dryer are energy efficient. The problem is the support via the ThinQ app and the website are disappointing at best. How hard would it be to have a FAQ frequently asked questions page? How hard woult it be to have an easy to read page in the app explaining all the various washer and dryer cycles? Ive worked in technology support for 30 years and it appears obvious LG as a company does not understand how to create a good customer experience. The knowledge base is nearly impossible to navigate and when searching for specific information the pages presented are about various other washers or dryers and not about the Washtower specifically. Heres one example - We wanted to know if there was a way to turn on the light in the washer or dryer while it was running. I went to a page supposedly specifically for the unit and followed the instructions to no avail. I then called customer support and although the agent was helpful she wasnt familiar with this model and the department which would have had the knowledge to help had limited hours. Next I sent a form via the site and was contacted by a supposed presedential liaison. We were supposed to speak by phone but she claimed she had phone problems so all our communications were via text. Finally she opened a ticket with support. That was 30 days ago and although I recieved email with a ticket number no one has even started to work on that ticket. We currently have an LG Range LG Refrigerator and LG Microwave and our experiences have been wonderful. However the experience with this Washtower has depleted any brand loyalty I might otherwise have had. In short LG gets a #Fail for customer experience and customer support.

I purchased the LG tower to replace the traditional washer and dryer I had to save space in the laundry room. The unit is attractive and generally works well. I opted for a 5-year warranty to protect the purchase. Recently I initiated a repair request for a leak we noticed coming from the bottom of the washer door. I was surprised to learn that I had to disconnect the washer from the dryer in order for the service tech to make the repair. While I understand that a single technician would have a difficult time lifting the dryer off the washer I as the consumer would face the same issue. Also the configuration of the tower in my opinion does not lend itself to being disconnected by someone unfamiliar with the product. I didnt want to possibly break the unit. To address the leak Ive reduced the number of items placed in the washer so that it is not at full capacity. That appears to have helped the situation. However I dont feel that I can really use the extended warranty if I have to break the tower apart for servicing.

Perfect For A Closet Laundry

We bought this for a second floor laundry closet we built into our master bathroom. This was the perfect choice of capacity and features we needed. My wife and I are pleasantly surprised how quiet both washer and dryer are while running next to the master bedroom wall. I like the push notifications sent to my cell phone when either washer or dryer cycle is complete. The LG wash tower is a much better appliance than the typical stacked appliance you see in small apartments or motor homes.

A remarkable product with sleek design and easy operation. It is somehow confounding that of all the cycles available there is no permanent press. That is only accessible by downloading the LGThinQ app to a smartphone. And that itself is not easy. Truly puzzling when one realizes that most of todays laundry for clothing is permanent press. There also is no handwash cycle but the delicate cycle can accomplish this task. Except for the permanent press omission I am totally in love with the results this machine gives both washer and dryer. VERY happy I bought this model

Here is a follow up to my review from last week titled: Product is terrible and LG failed to make it right . . . I gave the full rundown 5 days ago and at that time LG and their Presidential Liaison had completely failed to take any definitive action to remedy my situation i.e. that their product began malfunctioning less than a month after purchase problem persisted and worsened to the point of being inoperable and that I then have had to spen the past month trying to get it fixed or replaced under warranty. So here we are 5 days later and still crickets from LG / Presidential Liaison despite speaking with a supervisor a week ago and being told I would hear from them within 2 business days and despite responding to a text telling me a reply would be forthcoming in 24-48 hours. So I called again this morning and asked to speak with a supervisor. It took 40 minutes to get a supervisor on the phone and another 15 bringing him up-to-speed only for him to then simply give me the exact same line as a week earlier -- basically we will email Presidential Liaison bc there is no other way to contact them and let them know this is urgent so you just have to wait. I told him this response was completely unacceptable given the amount of time I have already waited for some meaningful action to be taken and how much time I have spent personally trying to get the issue resolved. The supervisor apologized profusely and said they understand how I feel. I know it is a script but cmon consider the facts and read the room -- dont patronize me at this point. They said they had to follow the process and wait for Presidential Liaison to contact me. So now I sit here and wait again. This has been such as terrible experience it is comical at this point and should be a case study for how not to handle a legitimate customer warranty request. I posted my review hoping to get someones attention to this matter and got a reply from Tanisha 4 days ago apologizing thank you I feel so much better now and assuring me that they work really hard to make sure our customers love our products and services and that our team is working on a solution while I am writing this reply. They they close with Please let us know if we can be of further assistance. yet with no means of following with Tanisha or anyone else at LG. Id love to hear from you. That was 4 days ago with not a peep from LG. Again laughable.

Great warranty and customer service

We bought this as a closeout on a floor model from Lowes for a great price. It had a few scratches and dents on the sides but we were installing it in a closet so that didnt matter to us. We hooked it up the following weekend and did the test load as directed. It seemed fine until it was time to pump out the water and spin then it showed an error code. The troubleshooting section of the manual said to call for service for that code. I called on Monday and was directed in some steps to reset the computer. I tried another test load with the same results. I called LG again and they scheduled a service appointment for the very next day. The technician was very thorough and discovered the issue and also another one that may have been caused by the unit being moved around at Lowes. He ordered the parts and came back the day after they were delivered to install them all under warranty with no additional cost to us. I have done several loads of laundry since and love this unit the great warranty and customer service

When I recently remodeled a bathroom / laundry room I decided to upgrade my LG washer and dryer. My previous LG washer and dryer units were awesome. Never had an issue with either. I was a big fan of LG quality / tech / support. So naturally I looked to see what offerings they had currently that would work for my project. I found the LG Washtower unit and loved the look / tech / design / utility of the single unit. The reviews were generally positive so I pulled the trigger. Within a month of installation I began getting a vS error code looks like u5 on the display. I looked at the manual and it said it was a vibration sensor error and that I should call for service. I first looked online to trouble shoot the issue and addressed all the points noted in my research -- I reset the unit I ensured that it was level I checked to make sure the issue wasnt simply being caused by running unbalanced loads etc. Nothing worked. The issue persisted so I contacted LG for a warranty repair but the process of trying to get that scheduled was so time consuming and onerous that I bailed on the process as the issue was only happening intermittently at that point. Over the next several months the issue began to occur more frequently so I again initiated the warranty repair process with LG. It took me two hours to schedule a repair appointment with an authorized LG service technician. During that two hours much of it was spent speaking with an LG rep who had no idea what the vS error code was and kept trying to school me on how to load the unit properly and to try all the stuff I had told them I already tried. To add insult to injury I had designed the laundry room so that the unit was recessed perfectly into a built in nook and it is extremely heavy so in order to pull it out so that the tech could access the back panel to work on it I had to hire a dryer duct cleaner who had a lift and could pull it out. They did that the day prior to my scheduled service. However later that same day I received an email notifying me that my service appointment had been cancelled. I contacted the service provider and they told me they rejected the job because they dont work on my model as they have not been trained by LG to do so. I then spent another several hours trying to get the appointment rescheduled ASAP as the unit was pulled out and blocking the entrance to my main bathroom. LG said they had referred my request to their service locater department and that I would hear back within a week. About a week later I received an email letting me know that another appointment with a LG authorized service provider had been scheduled. At that time I sent the service provider photos of the model # serial # and error code. They responded that they had ordered parts and confirmed the appointment. The day of service the tech showed up pulled off the back panel looked around and then said he had no idea what the issue was and couldnt fix it. He was there for less than 10 minutes. I called the company and spoke with the owner and he apologized and said they shouldnt have accepted the job as they dont work on my model same story as the first LG authorized service provider. Back to the drawing board. Called LG again and went through the exact same process but this time tell the rep I want to talk to a manager and elevate my warranty repair request. After waiting for 45 minutes I speak with someone and spend 30 minutes filling them in on the whole fiasco of a process so far. Tell them I want the issue elevated and that if they cant fix it immediately I want it replaced and reinstalled. The manager said they understood and would elevate my concern. Hours more time invested more time being told how to load my washer and ultimately that again I would hear back within 7 days. 6 days later I get a text message from a Presidential Liaison no joke wow theyre really taking this seriously telling me that another appointment had been scheduled with you guessed it the very same LG authorized service provider that a week earlier spent 10 minutes looking at my model only to tell me that they dont work on my model. Seriously unbelievable. So I call the service provider and ask what is going on since they had already been to my house looked at the unit and told me that they dont work on my model. He said that it was a forced booking so he had to manually follow up with LG to reject it which he would do. He apologized profusely again. So I called LG again. Same 20 minute process to navigate their customer service labyrinth to get to a rep. I started giving a brief rundown of the issue but then they start asking me if I have tried unplugging it or if I am sure I know how to load the unit. My head was about to explode. I interrupted the rep and apologized for it if seemed like I was focusing my frustration on her but that I had had it with this process. They apologized of course but said there was no way for me to contact the Presidential Liaison except via text. I explained that the text received from the Presidential Liaison stated I would be graced with a reply typically within 24-48 hours and that I needed this handled immediately. They apologized again and said they would email the Presidential Liaison department and ask for an expedited response. Absolutely amazing. So I then texted the Presidential Liaison I am just going to keep typing that and marveling at the irony and absurdity of it and wrote: I spoke with the LG authorized service provider you assigned to my case and they are rejecting the repair order. So no service is forthcoming. This is now the third time through this process with absolutely no progress made whatsoever. I have now spent over 20 hours trying to get this unit repaired. Please CALL me ASAP as I want the unit replaced and reinstalled immediately. That was on a Monday morning. It is now Wednesday afternoon and I have yet to hear anything back from LG or my Presidential Liaison. The whole thing is just amazing. So disappointed with LG. Be better.

Laundry Days are Fun with LG

I love my LG Tower Washer Dryer Front loaders are the best for the cleanest of clothes and this combo beats the rest. It does a better job than a commercial laundromat. The LG is intuitively smart with a detailed lighted menu. Its quiet and has a magnificent space age design At the end of each cycle the machine chimes a song to let you know when your wash or drying is done. The only thing I would add are wheels because the machine needs to be movable. Locking wheels would be great. I love my LG so much that I cant wait till laundry day How many people can say that?

I had to call LG for service.the first person I spoke with gave me 3 service providers 1 didnt respond to call2 didnt service my type of machine finally called service again and spoke to someone that knew what the problem was.received repair technician that came and fixed.

This is our second set of LG washer dryer had 1st set for 15 years this one doesnt disappoint. The settings are great on the washer clothes feel almost dry after wash cycle ends. Love that the dryer knows setting for drying from option chosen on washer. Very pleased with the set. Thanks for making a great product
