This is a replacement for my previous LG washer and dryer which I loved. I like the monolithic unit instead of lifting the dryer on top and worrying about balancing both units.

Great compact stylish system.

I bought 2 wash towers in August and have been very happy with their performance. I love the fact that you can preload detergent and that the software works seamlessly with the unit. My clothes always come out clean and fresh and the washtower looks great in my apartment. The only critique I have is that I cant really notice a difference when the steaming function is used and Im not sure its worth the extra $$.

I bought these about a month ago and still have not been able to do a load of laundry. They leaked when I tried to do the first load. I called LG to get repaired. It took them over a week to send a technician. When the technician arrived he found a part that was causing the leak and stated he would order a new one and would be back to finish the repair. That was a week ago and I have not been contacted regarding the part or when it will be prepared.

Washer part great dryer worse dryer Ive ever had clothes always come out crinkly clothes always roll together. Had it a little over a month never used an iron as much.. customer service no help dont care. Lot of money paid so dont waste your money.

I bought this a couple of months ago and it is almost fun to do laundry. It has taken awhile to learn all the varied functions and different wash/dry cycles - still experimenting with them. I love the large bin for both washing and drying larger loads. I had to go online and look up several videos on operating and hints on using. The manual that comes with it is pretty good and Im glad to have a physical book and not just an online manual when I want to look up something quickly. And it is a very nice looking appliance also

Overall I like this wash tower very well. I have had it a few weeks and still trying to learn all the different wash/dry options - a bit confusing and not so simple as just turning on/off. I love the large drum in both the washer and dryer. It is a very sleek and attractive appliance and does not take up much room in my wash/dry closet.

Saving opinion for when I get one that works

So far I have gotten two machines. The first one had a defective valve and nearly flooded my house. It was also horribly loud and whiney. The replacement was dented and scratched like someone had thrown it down a mountain. I am currently waiting on a third one. Hopefully third time is the charm. If the replacement works I will comeback and update my review. I am hoping the loud whining was also a defect because if that is what the next one sounds like I am sending it back and getting my money back.

The unit has been great. My wife and I are on the shorter side and the controls and dryer have been so much more convenient. The dryer also helps prevent a fire in our house by telling us our dryer vent needed to be cleaned.

I bought this and days later the price was dropped $400.00 I called and was told they wouldnt adjust the price it hadnt even shipped yet they said I could cancel the order and reorder but that would have delayed my delivery by weeks. I had already ready scheduled a contractor to install so I was unable to cancel and reorder. I will not buy direct from LG again. Sadly I do like the product.

Many issues within one month

Its been only a month since I bought this washtower and both the washer and dryer have started to give problems. Washer is leaking water through the door with AI mode and large loads. Dryer door is not closing tightly and lint escapes through the dryer door and also condensation water leaks through the dryer door

We retired moved and left our old washer and dryer with the home we sold. After some addition construction in our north woods weekend home turned permanent home we turned a small bedroom into a laundry area and half bath so decided to go with a stackable washer and dryer as the laundry space was limited. We did our research and decided on the the LG WKEX300HBA and am really happy we did. We absolutely love our new unit. The instructions and display are easy to follow has a wide variety of features to use and is really quiet. Above all it cleans and dries wonderfully. Our contractor tried it out when he had it installed and even he and his workers were impressed with the looks of it and the ease of use. And now even my husband is helping with the laundry. I would definitely recommend this unit to anyone looking for a stackable laundry center. Thank you LG for a top-notch product

After having our machine for over 1 month and using it regularly I can say that I truly enjoy washing clothes in it. I love all the settings the fact that you can operate the machine via the app the special songs it can play to alert you when a load is finished but my most favorite thing about it is the EZ dispense feature. I absolutely love that I do not have to manually dispense detergent and softener with each and every load. Now I just need to figure out how my machine could automatically fold my clothes for me

Too Reliant on the Phone

I wish more than anything that this system wasnt reliant on the app to use. IMO the app should have been supplemental and not a must for every day use. On the machine you get up to 3 settings to adjust. The other settings are only available from the phone. See my screenshots. I dont understand why not have the ability to scroll up on the machines screen to get to these settings why only available on the phone? Means I always have to have my phone to manage laundry its infuriating. Also its problematic for house guests. I have a frequent guest who has allergies and I keep clear and free pods around. But he must use my phone so the machine doesnt auto dispense. My other annoyance is that there is no way to manually input the settings you want from scratch. You can only choose pre selected profiles. Some of which you cannot change settings for. Why can there not be a profile-free operation where I just choose the individual items I want for that load? This isnt an option from the machine of the phone app. The machine performs well. The user operation is not well thought out. It frustrates me and my guests. If knew this before buying I would have gotten something different.

Too many choices It will be months before I try them all. The dryer is at the perfect height to load/unload. It runs fairly quietly. For its large capacity it doesnt take much floor space. Looks very sharp.

I have been looking at these since they came out. Finally at a point to pull the trigger. So glad I did. This was a great replacement for our previous side by side units. Saved a lot of space Quiet running units so much so that Im glad I get the app messages to know a cycle is finished because I cant hear it when its running. Theres even an alert thats sent to your phone if you leave clothes in either machine too long. Love all the features and how well it takes care of what used to be a tedious task

Needs manual draining often Not for the Elderly

Had this for just over a day. Ran 5 loads so far. Not full ones. So far it is common to have to manually drain unit often. This means getting on the floor fill a bowl getting up to dump the filled bowl going back on the floor continue filling the bowl dump filled bowl repeat several times. Bowl cannot be too tall because the rubber drain hose is extremely short. It is common for the wash load to stop right at the final spin cycle. At that point there is a message to check water pressure. I then have to manually drain the unit which is what LG troubleshooting documents say to do. I find this ridiculous for such an expensive system. Luckily I can get on the floor to do this. Anyone with joint issues or other troubles that getting down and up from the ground is hard the need to do this especially so often should be a deal breaker. I noticed with blankets and towels it is a guarantee the wash wont finish without a manual drain. I have 30 days to return as much of a hassle that would be to do this annoyance is an extreme inconvenience and hassle as well. On a side note another annoyance is you have to connect your system to your wifi and phone just to have a spin only cycle as well as a rinse spin only cycle. I dont understand why these basic functions arent part of the default menu.

A big step up from my last LG washer and dryer

I unexpectedly had to buy a new washer and dryer to replace my old LG ones when I discovered the dryer hookup at my new place was electric and not gas. The price tag was hard to swallow but so far Im absolutely in love with this wash tower. The features are so advanced and its doing an amazing job of washing and drying my clothes. My old LG washer and dryer were still going strong after eight years so my fingers are crossed that the longevity is just as good with this wash tower.
