Touch control panel not as intuitive as knobs

This replaced a washer/dryer with intuitive control knobs so it took some time and experimentation to do what I wanted. The touch sensitive controls are not as intuitive. For example I found myself pressing the top and bottom ends of the high/low range settings before I eventually realized it was a simple switch that cycled through all of the settings. It also took me awhile to understand that by clicking on the Timed Dry control when it was not lit caused it to light up and the Temp Dry setting stopped being lit up. It would probably be better if all of the feature settings were at least dimly lit half way lit when not chosen and brightly lit when chosen. Those that are not lit cannot be read at all on the black control panel. One thing I was able to do on the old knob controls was to be able to change certain things after starting the wash or dry. For instance when I start the wash and realize that the temp is not where I wanted to set it or I wanted to add more time to the time setting or change the dryness level. I do like the quiet operation.

BEWARE: will break just outside warranty

GAS error code after 2 years of use. Dryer does not function anymore and needs repaired. Warranty doesnt cover and extended warranty at the time of purchase was ludicrously expensive. Beware if you buy this product get the extended warranty because it will break. Cheap quality go with a different brand

Good machine terrible service

The machine is good but the delivery and after-sales service are terrible. The machine made squeaking and rubbing noise during the first run. I contacted LG and the agents said its the shipping bolts not taken off during installation and they asked me to take them by myself or their technician will charge me. This firstly is a wrong diagnosis secondly means to pull this 1800lbs machine out by their customer. After rounds and rounds of battle I finally got a technician and LG sent me a wrong appointment date and made me waste a day waiting. Finally the technician came and told me its the poly-foam not removed from the inside of the machine made this noise. And its not possible for me to remove it by myself. If I did it then all my future warranty will be refused by LG.

Very happy with the product - 5 stars. Very unhappy with the purchase process - 1 star. Propane is a common alternative to natural gas in the U.S. Three problems I encountered ordering through the LG website are: 1 the recommended items only contained a steamer and not the conversion kit. 2 I had to order the conversion kit from Amazon as the LG site gave me an error when I tried to add it to the cart using three different browsers to confirm it wasnt a browser issue 3 free installation was listed as part of the service and was selected but when the delivery team arrived they said they could not install the laundry tower costing me an additional two weeks and $135. I will not order through the LG website again as there was too much misinformation

Inelegant

I am in the process of modernizing my laundry room with new cabinets counters and sink. I replaced my washer and dryer with the LG WKGX201HWA wash tower. The washtower works well. The parts that come with the unit are 3 water hoses a hose splitter drainage hose zip-tied to the water hoses a dryer vent and two electrical cord. Attached is a picture. Still need to install the cabinets but not sure if it will look better. I am focusing on the product but the installation of a unit that is intended to replace 2 units needs to be considered before purchasing.

Let me start with the LG customer service has been amazing My unit leaked on its first wash and because of Lowes crappy 48 hr policy had to call LG. They got some right out they tried a few different things and determined Lowes damaged it in delivery. Now that I have a new unit from RC Willey it works amazing You can keep the door shut and washer doesnt smell. Very easy to use. For a small unit it has very large tubs.

Its a great combo does a great job works well the only down part is the actual manufacture craftsmanship as they rust and in some case cause problems with access to utilities of the washer but I will not blame that on the machine as it continues to work I will just blame it on LG for their lack of foresight

Reliable quiet flexible sleek

We love the machine. The second one weve bought. Support is great. It has dowloadable cycles but they dont always show up in the App. The ap is good but not very intuitive. I learned recently that the cycles with asterisks by them I have to hold for 3 to 5 seconds to activate them eg the Tub Clean cycle. It has some diagnostic error that doesnt prevent it from working but there is no way to reset it?

Space saving easy to use and great cleaning

This is by far the best washer/dryer tower setup Ive ever had Located in our garage it has a much smaller footprint that side by sides takes less time for each function and easy to load/unload. The delivery people were awesome did not rush and explained the basics after installation. If you would benefit with a tower arrangement I really recommend this LG unit

Make Laundry Sexy Again

My dryer arrived with a broken igniter. After a service call with LG a repair service was scheduled immediately and the unit was serviced right away. What could have been a really disappointing experience was made right by LG and its excellent service team. They even ordered the part needed before they arrived so all parts were available for the servicing. Joe was very informative and now I get to enjoy my new beautiful machine.

Very pleased with the Washtower. Cleans very well. Clothes come out of dryer dry and soft. Very quiet. Directions on choosing right temp setting a little challenging at first but no mishaps yet. There are online videos which can be helpful. Very happy with our LG air conditioners and glad this purchase was also a good one. The unit is beautiful too

I bought this wash tower 2 months ago and glad we did. The unit out performs all other wash tower competitors. The unit fits perfectly in a standard closet application. The unit is easily maintained and a quick wipe down of the washer door after a wash keeps the unit fresh.

We purchased this w/d laundry center in January 2021. We have had absolutely no problems with it. It is still super quiet and does a great job washing and drying clothes. Easy to use controls. No wonder Consumer Reports rates LG high in quality and reliability.

Sooooo Quiet

We bought the washtower a month ago and are so pleased with how quiet it is. Our laundry closet is in the middle of our one-story home and we never even know either the washer or dryer are running even on the wash spin cycle Being 53 I also very much appreciate that the controls for both washer and dryer are in the middle between the two units. Our previous stacked pair had the dryers controls at the top where I could neither reach nor see them I found the icons and controls required a little bit of a learning curve but Ive got it down now. I do think some of the set cycles are too limited. For instance if you choose the Bedding wash cycle you cannot select the highest spin. And if you set a damp dry cycle so you can remove SOME of the items while damp if you then set the temp to a drier cycle for the remaining items the dryer seems to be confused and doesnt get the remaining items fully dry. Im sure Ill find a combination that works for this situation but its a bit frustrating for now. Overall though the units clean and dry beautifully. My husbands shirts all come out without any ironing needed even when mixed with items of different weights. I would recommend this unit.

A Perfect Replacement

I bought this 2 weeks ago and I am thrilled with the set. The tower will allow me to have room enough to put in a utility sink next to them which will make my life so much simpler. I have already used them 8 times and they are large enough for our full loads. I am only 5 ft. 1 so the controls are at a perfect level and it is easy to load and unload both the washer and drier. The installation was flawless and in about 15 minutes I was ready to start a load. I am very excited about this purchase and would highly recommend this unit.

I love my stackable washer/dryer It takes up so little space in my laundry room. It is sooo quiet that the signal that the cycle has ended is easily heard and quickly responded to. I even bought one exactly like it for my daughter

2 Wash Tower Family

I bought my wash tower when I first started the reconstruction of my home. It fit perfectly into my laundry room and I had heard great reports about LG. My daughters encouraged my purchase and when I started using it I was just as pleased with all of its many functions. When I gifted my daughter and son-in-law with a new pantry our first purchase was a LG wash tower for it. She had fallen in love with mine. Now her husband and son who do their own laundry love the wash tower as much as we do. It is easy to load. Set for the fnstion wanted and quickly completes its task.. So we are now a happy family with 2 LG wash towers

Amazing washer/dryer combo

This is the best washer/dryer combo Ive ever owned. Unlike separate units that are stacked this is a single unit with shared control logic. The dryer knows what you just washed so it adjusts automatically to dry the load. And it uses so little detergent and water but gets everything really clean. So its good for the environment and for your energy budget.

Fit my existing Landry space. It is not quite and there are lots of water remaining inside the washer after used. I drain it and open the door for hours to prevent mold. One control panel for both washer and dryer means when one broke both needs to be replaced.

FINALLY GETTING TO CHECK OUT WASH TOWER

We bought our LG wash tower when we started our remodel in the fall of 2022 and just got it installed in May of 2023 so we have been waiting a while to put it through its paces. We like it a lot and it washes and dries as well as we had imagined it would. Looks great performs great. We will see how it does in the long run and how LG responds if there are any problems. Would recommend this product at this point.

Ive purchased two of these units and despite following all of the care instructions checkin vents ensuring the proper diameter of the ducts ensuring the proper number of bends based on the duct length etc. this things still dont dry properly. Good luck with LGs customer service. They dont help and basically want you to be a technician. Stay away at all costs Im selling the units and buying an entirely different brand.
