Terrible washer heavy vibration no custom cycle

The washer vibrates so much that the glasses in my kitchen rattle. 2 floors apart. Could I just change the spin cycle lower to prevent that? No because LG has locked most of there cycles to prevent you from customizing them. So if I pick AI wash it automatically puts it on high spin and you cant adjust it. But with the app and smart washer you surely can create your own custom cycle and use that? Wrong again the app is a joke and there is no custom cycle option. Well if you can live with the vibration des it get your clothes really clean? I wish my clotes smell like dirty laundry after they are done in the washer and dryer it fails to do anything better that my 12year old base GE model. Dont believe consumer reports that this is a good washer its not and you will regret buying it. I know I do last LG appliance I will ever buy.

Hole in gasket. Get the extended Warranty

Have had it for less than 2 years and there is already a water leak. After having a technician diagnosis it he found a tear/hole in the rubber tube at the bottom of the gasket that connects to the drain. I wipe down and clean the gasket after every wash but this was an unexposed part of the gasket so I dont know what else I could have done to prevent that from happening.

Replace door seal costs are ridiculous

I bought this a little more than a year ago. While the machine has worked great the door seal gasket has failed. In revieing the replacement cost for the gasket LG wants nearly $200 for this one. Really? that is 1/5 the total cost of an entire new machine. I bought LG since they were easy to work on and repair - or at least my last one was. But not this one. Most door seal gaskets for other models are around $75-$50. This is a rip off and double my next machine will be an LG.

I bought this washer with some skepticism from a review. I decided that this was just one person review. This is the best machine I have ever purchased in my life time. It is what a person needs in their washroom. I can do so many things with it remotely. It reminds me when the wash is done and even better it continues to remind me if the laundry is not removed. With that being said I went and bought a dryer to compliment that amazing washer. Great product truly satisfied and a customer of LG for life.

Called LG support but had to schedule service but service request is still pending someone has to call me back to schedule time to come out to fix this no urgency there either. Lack of customer or technical service

Highly recommended machine based on ratings. Door gasket has deteriorated in 5 months and the service company says it is not covered in warranty. Washing machine is not usable. Called Costco for service and waited for LG to call back. They took my number down incorrectly and never called although all other information was correct. Could have coordinated better and cross referenced. Service was not scheduled. Had to call a second time. Service to replace gasket is now at about 4 weeks. Have not heard from service company since initial visit 2 weeks ago. Service company wanted me to disassemble stacked units so when he came back he could repair. Spent quite a bit and seriously not very happy with system or service/support.

We loved our LG washer that we purchased from Howards Appliances in June. But after about 3 weeks the glass on the inside of the door shattered. Getting LG to replace the washer was a nightmare. We finally had to go through Howards to have the unit replaced. No help from LG We have a lot of LG products in our home and you would have thought that LG would jump through hoops to keep us happy. We wont buy any more LG products where there is no customer service. I will tell anyone who is interested in knowing just how bad LGs customer service.

Stopped working 3 times in less than 1 year

Our machine is less than 1 year old of use and we have had someone come out twice to fix issues with the dial and the function of the washer. It is out of warranty because we purchased it a few months before we were able to install so were having issues a third time and we will now have to pay since it is out of warranty. I dont recommend this washer since it is not reliable and the technology seems great in theory until the dial does not work.

Additionally the TurboSteam feature has been incredibly effective in refreshing clothes and removing wrinkles allowing for a quick touch-up without the need for ironing. This feature has been a lifesaver when Im in a rush and need my outfit to look its best. The smart capabilities of this dryer have seamlessly integrated into my daily life. However I believe that customer support needs improvement and the parts shipped during installation should be sturdier like stainless steel pipes. I have had this LG front loading washer for about 2-2 1/2 months now and it has performed like it should with no problems. The mobile app lets me know when the wash has finished and you can program custom cycles if you would like but for me excessive technology is not my cup of tea.

LG Bad Seal - Repair Refused

Purchased to stack units and install in tight location. Built cupboards around unit. First month seal leaks water on the floor. Warranty repair guy came out to fix. Refuses to work on washer until dryer is removed. We purchased a stackable unit paid for professional install by BestBuy. It doesnt make sense to refuse repair. Terrible product leaks. I been using this dryer for about 2 weeks and its absolutely amazing Yes it does take longer to dry clothes and that has been a very minor adjustment for us but it has allowed us to configure our laundry room to how we wanted by staking out equipment. Super quiet and our room doesnt feel like a sauna after a load or two. Im a stickler for maintenance with anything I own so by this dryer needing to be maintained a little different and more often isnt an issues for me either. I only had this product for 2 weeks already everything seems fine now. Machine runs smooth and quiet. I like the functions built into the machine. I hope the electronics and mechanical mechanisms last a long while for the life and use of the machine. I hope if machine does need repair it will not be a hassle to get machine serviced and it can get fixed right away because machine is essential to have working all the time. I have machine warranty registered and also warranted for services a extra 5 years in needed.

It cleans and softens my clothes better than my previous not old washing machine. I purchased the pedestal because I have severe neck and back problems and am vertically challenged as well. Machine seems fine. Only used it five times so far. Good looking unit. Not five stars because the installation instructions were awful. Im an electrical. I install everything in my house myself. I dont trust Home Depot installers. The washer was sitting on top of a LG pedestal washer. None of the mounting holes lined up with the hardware LG supplied. I called LG for advice and their response was We cant give you information about installing your new LG products . How lame. Being creative I made my own installation brackets in my shop and everything works fine now. But really LG - you couldnt give me installation help ?

Wow It took me a few months to research and decide which brand and model of washer dryer to buy. I went back and forth to change to a top load or keep with an LG front load. I decided on this LG front load washer dryer set from Costco. Now that Im using it for the past few weeks Im not sure why I waited so long. I love this washer I mainly use the quick cycle with cold medium spin and medium dirty depending on the load. I have used a few other cycles for towels bedding and delicates. My son slid home at a baseball game into wet muddy wet black turf with white jersey pants. I used Oxyclean to scrub them and then washed with Kirkland detergent and they both came very clean I do leave the drawer open and I wipe out the rubber seal after each wash. I have it set up to my phone and it alerts me when the cycle is finished. There is so much more this machine and technology can do which I will learn over time. Im extremely happy with this washer and I actually love doing laundry

Love this machine. It has 5 sprayer jets that inject water/soap onto the clothes. The rinse cycle is great. The machine drains the water completely and uses fresh water up to 3 times during a cycle. It will rinse up to 3 times which is great for heavier items like jeans and towels. If you remember at the last minute your favorite outfit needs washed there is a quick wash cycle that is 18 mins long. I have notice our water bill has gone down by 1 cubic foot of water. And the machine is very quiet. You do need a pedestal for the machine because it sits so low. It spins clothes so incredible dry with 1300 rpm. Jeans take 25 mins to dry.

After owning an LG washer and dryer for 17 years it was time for a new set. We love our new LG washer and dryer The new set has additional settings that we really appreciate. The updated models are very sleek and quite efficient. LG is the way to go They last longer than any other washer and dryer we have ever owned.

Matching Washer and Dryer

We bought our LG washer last month and its great. We also bought the matching dryer in the dark gray. Theyre much quieter than our old machines. My wife likes that she operate them with app. Pretty cool.

Excellent Choice

We bought the WN6500 washer and DLEX 6500B dryer. to replace our prior LG washer and dryer that lasted 16 years. We like the ease of use the multiple cycle choices and the large capacity we can wash a king size comforter and even king size pillows without problems.
