No lit buttons serious flaw.

General function is fine but lack of light up buttons or backlighting on control panel is a very serious flaw. I didnt even think to look for that in specs assuming that should be a no brainer item to have. How do you step backwards in technology my 15-year-old oven that died had it? Very very bad.

Oven control panel is badly designed. Can not see touch buttons without direct light from flashlight or Sun light. Temperature gauge is not accurate. Service came and failed to acknowledge that the oven has issues. We need a replacement oven that is readable and accurate. The service tech opened an investigation. No response from LG yet. Been 3 weeks.

LG misleading customers not taking responsibilit

I purchased Wall Oven WSEP4723F and Gas Cooktop CBGJ3023S with the intention of installing them in a single 30 wide kitchen cabinet. Prior to the purchase I researched both appliances to make sure that they are compatible and will fit in a single kitchen cabinet. Another consumer several months earlier had the same question I found question/answer using LG Questions search feature. The answer was Hey there Good news You can install it Gas Cooktop above your wall oven Just make sure to leave a 1/4 clearance between them. Easy-peasy right? Happy cooking -Anthony LG Digital Team. I purchased both appliances with confidence. When designing and ordering kitchen cabinets I made sure that the cabinet was 30 wide. Kitchen cabinets took much longer than expected to be completed. I had to then get new installation date from the cabinet installer. Finally during kitchen installation my installer discovered that the two items will not fit into to a single 30 kitchen cabinet as claimed in writing by LG Digital Team. I contacted LG Major Appliances customer service and explained the situation they provided me with case # and directed me to contact HomeDepot where I purchased the appliances and instructed me to have HD reach out to LG Dealer Support on my behalf. I contacted HD and explained the situation HD contacted LG Dealer Support. LG Dealer Support declined to take the appliance back because it was outside of the 48hr return policy. It didnt matter to LG Dealer Support that LG Digital Team supplied wrong information on the LG website which I can still find today. LG continues to mislead customers same as they misled me. Im stuck with $2000 of brand-new appliances that I cant use additionally Im out additional $1000 for 30 cabinet that I cant use. When fitment issue was discovered I had to purchase different stand-alone range to be able to use my kitchen. Because I was redoing the entire kitchen many things have to come together at once I couldnt have waited until 1 day before kitchen was ready for purchase appliances to then be able to find LGs error and return the appliances within 48hr period. This is not feasible and someone else will fall victim to LGs misinformation. Im very disappointed with LG publishing misinformation on their website and not taking responsibility for their error. Furthermore not taking down misinformation after I pointed it out.

Would be great if display was backlit - are you kidding me? Cannot see the controls because of the angle - oven is lower as microwave above - and if its darker in kitchen - backlighting is expected on ovens - would never have bought this if I knew it didnt have backlighting . Buyer beware

Im happy with the appliance wall oven. Not pleased with service after the sale. When purchased I paid for installation at a cost of $194. Oven delivered on January 4th. Installation was scheduled for January 11th through a company called Hub Group Final Mile. They never showed up lied to me about why. Contacted LG Customer Service on January 12 was advised I would get refund fee in 72 hours. Nothing yet. Ruined my buying experience with LG.

We bought the Wall Oven with all of the technical advantages. The visual marketing was superb - however when we installed and went to use the front screen was black. How to show the great options required a flashlight to view BAKE - ? the keypad lights with numbers then light the panel to see the START choice. Do you think that in this wonderful tech world the panel could be lighted? Great cooking though - the main function you got right. For dininished eyesight we have LED flashlights.

Very nice oven. However I was not aware of the need to run a self clean cycle before using. Thus the first time I used the oven smoke was awful. I then ran the self-clean twice . The next time I used the oven the smoke was minimal but still some. The biggest complaint I have is that the monitor screen with all of the settings options is very hard to read. It is black and is not backlit so reading the buttons is difficult. It should be illuminated in some way. However the oven works beautifully.

Very nice oven However the only issue I had was not being informed to do a quick clean before use. The first time I used the oven the smoke/smell was awful. I ran the quick clean twice scrubbed the wire shelves and wiped the inside carefully after cleaning. The oven no longer smokes but was very alarming at first. The only other issue I have is that the control panel is not lighted in any way and is thus hard to read when securing the settings. I wish it were backlit or written in a lighter color lettering.
