drain pump failed within 5 months

Stopped draining as in not working at all on Friday April 21st with a tub full of dirty towels and water. Couldnt get service technician for 2-1/2 weeks. And not covered by warranty since not at a residence. Paid for service call and ordered parts. New pump came the day after service was scheduled May 16th. Rescheduled for 23rd. Now been over a full month without washing machine. Fortunately we have a great handy man in the family who got the pump in and the machine working again. Would not recommend this machine if you have laundry with any sort of dirt or debris on it. Or run a tub wash cycle after every load and waste as much money in water and electricity.

Not too long after purchase the washing machine made some weird sounds. I recorded them and sent an explanation and video to service dept. They replied and sent me info on a front loader machine not top loader. I gave a description and this model number and still received the wrong info. I dont think this machine will last very long. Very discouraged

This was purchased November 2022. In December 2022 it began leaking water and stopped working. The manufacturer never has an available date to come fix it. Therefore I am stuck going to the washerteria which I have not used in over 35 years. LG stated I would have to pay for repairs. This is the worst product I have ever purchased. Buyer Beware

Ive had this washer for about a month now. It does pretty well. The main thing I DO NOT like about it is you cannot pick the water level. It is auto-sensing. I usually have to push the Water Plus to get enough water in it to be above the clothes. If you do not the water level does not cover the clothes then it agitates them to death.

I purchased a new LG washer and dryer. They were highly rated in Consumers Report magazine. So far I am pleased with my purchase. The washer is the type that doesnt have an agitator. I cannot believe how large the drum is. There are many options for washing and I connected it to my wi-fi and have even more washing options. Im still getting use to the dryer. I also connected it to my wi-fi so there are even more drying options.

Okay so heres the deal - most washers are okay they do the job - mostly - but require so much user interaction that by the time you actually get the clothes washing youre not too sure what takes more time - washing the clothes or getting the washer turned to the right settings pressing all the right buttons and making sure that it will actually notify you when the cycle is done. This is NOT the case with this washer. First of all it is sleek in its design - hey thats important Secondly turn the dial select the water temp and press the start button. Thats it no degree in washing machine science needed Thirdly and most importantly you dont have to do some form of weird yoga to actually remove the soap tray to clean it. Washer gunk build up is not an urban legend It exists and not being able to clean the soap tray dispenser is gross. The soap tray is easy to remove easy to clean and most importantly doesnt require a forty-step tutorial on how to reinsert it properly. Fourthly IT IS QUIET There is little that is more annoying than having your washer run and thinking that at any moment the machine is actually going to come to life because it is so noisy and walks its way across the laundry room as it does it job. Fifthly it is sturdy. I am a caregiver to an elderly parent as a result often there are large loads of laundry that have to be done - this washer can handle it without ever indicating there is a problem. I never question if the washing machine is going to suddenly run up the white flag when a large load - large but not overloading the washer - is added to it. That level of peace of mind is not only needed it is APPRECIATED Lastly the cleaning cycle when used properly - ACTUALLY WORKS Huh imagine that a washer that actually keeps itself clean when it is used properly. Thank you LG for finally figuring out that consumers really dont want to have a degree in laundry room science and engineering to actually be able to effectively use necessary appliances.

Very happy with it although it has a design flaw. The detergent dispenser drawer remains full of water after the wash has completed. So I need to remove it to dump the water after each wash or the water never drains out and causes an odor.

First off the Costco employees messed up the laminate floor in our laundry room while removing the old washer and dryer and installing these.
The lid on the washer does not stay up. Cant tell you how many times its hit my wife and I in the head.
You can fit a lot in here but whats the point if only half your load fits in the dryer.
The dryer will not connect to Wi-Fi. I have tried everything. When contacting lg for assistance they asked a list of extraneous questions that wasnt worth the hassle. If the washer connects and the dryer doesnt they dont need to know what type of modem and router I have. The dryer DLE7400WE that is packaged with it at Costco is just a dud as far as Wi-Fi goes and thats disappointing because its one of the selling points.
Always do a timed dry because the sensor drying option never fully dries anything. Always have to turn it back on again anyway.
If you can I would just stick with a good old-fashioned washer and dryer.

We bought this washer 2 weeks ago and find it an excellent improvement. The stainless steel drum keeps clean and wont rust. The drive mechanism is far superior to standard US models that use fan belts and clutches. Our old US model lasted just 3 years. The machine has a wide range of control options that suit every possible need. The online capabilities are a nice benefit although not really required. The machine plays a pleasing tune when it completes and it displays the cycle time left to make for better planning. The lid is clear so you can see the activity within which is preferred over an opaque lid. We had no issues with the delivery install and operation of the machine. I would definitely buy this again and recommend it to others.

Loving our new washer. I like the connectability to the LG app and being able to start it remotely. Piece of garbage - 3 repairs needed in 4 months

Id avoid this washing machine at all cost. Just Google LG washing machine error code UE and youll see the number of issues. Weve had 3 repairs in 4 months and each repair takes 1+ weeks to get scheduled. The tech said theres a bulletin out about the UE error code and problems with this washing machine. So far weve had the electronics board and motor replaced. Were currently awaiting another repair since were still getting the UE error code. Also there isnt a SPIN only option. If you want to just do a spin cycle it requires running water which is just dumb.

I bought this washer a few weeks ago and honestly I didnt like it at first My old standard agitator broke down after 8 years and it wasnt worth fixing it. We did a lot of research before landing on this washer. At first I was like this is not going to work for us there is no way itll get the clothes as clean. Wrong It cleans so much better uses way less water in the process. I love how big the drum is I can wash every single comforter I have now. I had one that I was going to take to the laundry mat before my washer kicked the bucket. Got this LG home and threw it in there first run Im really impressed with it my clothes smell great and look better. I always recommend the extended warrantyjust in case. Hopefully I wont need it but better safe than sorry. I love the way it looks and its much quieter than my previous washer. Some cycles are a lot slowerbut once you figure out what cycles work for you then its a breeze and worth the wait for how clean and fresh the clothes are. Also the downloadable cycles are your friend Use the app It lets me know when my wash is completed so no more running to the basement to check Love all the features and cycles it has to offer. I would recommend this washer. Definitely a learning curve from a standard washer so dont give up on it after a day. Because it took me 4 days to really see what cycles I like
