Does just what I need

Ive been using the LG Washer WT8205CW since we received it and it has made laundry noticeably easier. The large capacity is great for bigger loads and everything comes out consistently clean and well rinsed. It runs quiet which I really appreciate especially during longer cycles. The controls are simple to understand and the washer automatically adjusts the load which saves time and water without me having to do anything. It also stays stable during the spin cycle and feels very well . The Wifi is also a nice option so i can control the washer with my phone. Overall the Lg washer WT8205CW has been a great upgrade for my home. Id definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a washer that performs well and simplifies everyday laundry.

Worst. Machine. Ever.

Purchased washer in August 2025 as im writing this review in Novemeber I have successfully washer ONE load of clothes with this washer. During the wash cycle it starts pulsating and then gives an LE error. 2 different technicians have come out and tried to fix this washer and deemed it defective they believe it was built incorrectly but yet they cannot figure out the issue. I was told it would be getting a replacement over 1 week ago and then after waiting LG customer care let me know its now out of stock yet shows in stock on their website. Im so beyond frustrated with LG and forcing me to have a defective washer for 3 months and STILL to this day I am in possession of this stupid machine. DO NOT BUY.

I purchased the WT8205CW 3 months ago. Theres NO delicate cycle I cannot choose the water level like low medium or high. Some computer genius thought the machine should choose that for me. Theres NO soak cycle and some times my clothes are so filthy that I need an aggressive agitation cycle which doesnt exist on this machine. Overall save your money and buy washer that has more versatility and flexibility with its use and features. Im selling my 8205 and buying a different brand. I am so very unhappy with this machine.

Goodbye Front Loader

The LG WT8205CW washing machine is an upgrade from my previous front load LG washer. I was tired of having to clean out the front and wanted to go back to a top loader. Let me just say that this washer is superior. The control panel is simple yet stylish. It offers so many wash options. The design of the unit makes it easy and accommodating to reach in to pull clothes out. The lid is a SlamProof lid which is great when you have children in the house. The washer isnt loud at most you can hear the water filling up. It has a 4.8 cu. ft. capacity which means large loads are possible. Another great thing is that it has a 4-way agitator that moves clothes up down left and right. You can also choose the deep fill option to add extra water or keep it at the high-efficiency level. This is a plus for large loads. If you want to get the most out of your washer you can download the LG ThinQ App. It is so helpful to be able to see on the time the washer has left without having to get up to look. If I am downstairs I most likely wont hear the musical timer go off. There are more features on the app. Check it out

My all time favorite feature of this washer is being able to utilize the LG app I have 4 littles so home life is purse chaos majority of the time and even though it plays a nice jingle when the cycle is done having a notification to my phone/watch has been a game changer I can be outside playing with the kids and know when the cycle is done and needs to be switched over The capacity is amazing too I can fit soo much stuff without it being overpacked and being a household of 6 this is a necessity My only regret is not also buying the matching dryer It is also super user friendly

dispenser tray stays full of water

Washer works ok but dispenser tray is full of water after each cycle and must be cleaned. I have tried to resolved this with LG first they said I had an old design tray and sent a new one. The new one is the same as the old one LG tech then said it was working as designed.

This is our first new big appliance purchase in quite some time. Going into it not sure what to expect. Im happy to report if your on the fence about purchasing this LG washer look no further. Technology has come a long way and this washing machine proves it with 8+ preset modes that cater to your every need. From normal mode to Ai the washer has done a great job. So many settings to choose from and you can even set your own preferred setting from your phone with Download mode The drum in this machine is big Ive thrown clothes towels and even a king size comforter in with ease and everything comes out clean My biggest surprise from this washer is how incredibly quiet it is in operation. I highly recommend this if your in need of a new washer

Love this new LG washer. We have had several other LG appliances and have always been satisfied with them. My wife loves this washer because it has an agitator our previous washer didnt and its not too deep so she can reach small items like socks on the bottom. It has Wi-Fi and works with the LG app so you get notified on your phone when a wash is complete. You can also download extra wash cycles that arent available on the front panel and send them to the washer a cool feature that we have used more than once already.
