We purchased the WT8600CB during the July 4th sale because we were drawn to its automatic detergent dispenser feature. Unfortunately my wife discovered a leaking issue with the dispenser after completing a laundry cycle. We contacted LG customer service and they promptly dispatched a technician the following day to address the problem. We are incredibly grateful for LGs swift response and commitment to customer satisfaction. This washing machine has exceeded our expectations in every way. Fell in love with the AI mode instantly. Once started the machine gauges the weight softness and other characteristics of the load and customizes the wash process on its own. My new washer and dryer are smarter than I am. It does everything except fold and the put the clothes away I learn something ew about it every day. If it would only clean the house the way it does my clothes I would just be able to lay on the couch sand read books all day.

Washer lasted for less than one load

We have had numerous LG products our family has always had good luck with the brand alas no more. Two years ago we bought LGs top end washer and dryer. Two months ago the dryer door stopped fully closing so the Lowes folks came out to repair it sorry they dont have the right part. Ordered it took forever to come in then just before the repair person could fix it Last week LG washer dies with a LE error. On Thursday Lowes decided that it was unrepairable. So they send us a credit to buy a new washer. Given they never looked at the washer I suspect we arent the first customer with problem. So off to Lowes we go and bought this washer. It got delivered on Saturday. That night we started a load. Sunday morning the washer was so goofed up the lid was locked. We reported the problem to Lowes they came out today and said it would be best to return it. BUT was cant because we did the right thing and reported a problem. Even though we reported the problem within 48 hours it doesnt count because they wanted to repair it which pushed us out of the 48 hour window. To rub salt in they dont know when they can get the part logic board is bad. So LG three of your products filed in less than two months and one failed immediately. We called them and they made it clear it isnt their problem because we didnt buy it directly. And Lowes has our money and they actually admonished us by saying if we had used their credit card you would have had 30 days really you think that is a good time to try to upsell to their CC. We had even bought their extended warranty they dont simply dont care.

Too much tech too little water.

This was our 4th LG washer. We loved them until this one. Here are what we feel are deal breakers and why we sent it back. 1. Not enough water in the Normal setting and no way to add more without restarting the cycle. Even the Deep Wash sometimes isnt enough. LG says that this is their biggest complaint. 2 Doesnt add enough detergent. If you use the Deep Wash its even worse because I dont think it adds anymore than normal. We had to add manually after it starts the Wash cycle. 3. If you use the Deep Wash and hot water the condensation on the inside of the lid can drip out and down the side of the washer and onto the floor. Its because the lid is at an angle. 4. Maybe were picky but you see every fingerprint or smear on the black glass lid. Get used to it looking dirty. 5. Since the water levels arent right it doesnt wash well. Too little water and it will really wear your clothes out quickly. Too much and it wont agitate briskly enough to wash well. 6. Over-designed. Too much tech that makes it harder to use rather than easier. Too many steps to start a load. Its a washer not a starcruiser 7. One good thing. Its nice and quiet. If thats your only criteria than youre good to go. If washing a load of clothes is your thing then check out the LG WT7150. Simpler does a better wash job and will save you some money.

Awful customer service

9 days after the washer was delivered water started spewing out of the back hose connection. LG sent the installers back to look at the hook up. Installers said it was hooked up correctly and problem is with the washing machine. LG will not take responsibility nor do they offer any solution. Their customer service is AWFUL and they dont respond to calls or emails. Buyer beware Washer was good but hope you dont have an issue that you need customer support.
