screen panel frozen/ worst ice maker

the overall look and technology is very cool, but here're 2 major issues really pull down the value. 1. screen panel frozen a couple of times after 2 month using. user can't access any other function from screen panel then the display keep on. 2. in ice maker the ice coming out very slowly not accurate.

Fun in the kitchen

I've had this refrigerator for almost two months. Love the touch screen info center and the features it has. Would be nice if one could be able to download a few more apps. Love the ability to customize the Home screen with family photos. Bixby commands work about 50% of the time. Ice maker is good, keeps up with demand, however when dispensing ice it has jammed up, yet can be cleared easily. Would be nice to have a little LED light in the water/ice dispenser area to see how full the cup gets. The lowest pull out drawer is a little awkward to use sometimes, as it doesn't always want to slide back in. Overall, I am happy with this refrigerator, does a very good job at keeping temps consistent.

Not happy with smart view camera inside

We bought this counter depth Family Hub refrigerator from Best Buy in July 2020 with 3 years full protection. There was no floor model to view. We were surprised to see only one camera that only sees top and middle shelves only. The pictures were blurry. When we went to Best Buy in early August 2020, the Geek Squad Appliance person told us to press the top reset button reset button on the door. The pictures did improve some but not all in focus I was also told to call Samsung first despite we had bought 3 year full protection from Best Buy. Anyways resetting the button the image improved slightly but not crisp picture.

Best Investment Ever

I had to have this when we bought our first home. It's a good eye catcher when folks walk in they love to look at it play with it. I love how I can listen to music watch the news while I'm cooking get recipes. See who's at my front or back door. We love it. when i saw this fridge in the store and tested it out, i knew i needed to buy it. the problem was that i found out that this fridge lacks the sabbath mode feature, a feature that ironically enough, is found on the cheaper models. the lack of this feature caused me to look elsewhere for a new fridge. i ended up buying the samsung fridge with the sabbath mode feature. this would have been a great fridge had it not lacked that feature.

I bought this fridge a few months ago and from the moment I set it up i've been EXTREMLY pleased. There is plenty of storage space, shelf space and very nice. I really like all the features of the hub and can accomplish so much more while in the Kitchen using the Family Hub. This fridge is very advanced with features (Bixby, Google, Insta Cart, Amazon, Ring just to name a few). The rich stainless steel black color fits very well with my other appliances and it's easy to keep clean. Samsung really stands above the competition with this fridge and it's many features.

I had a Samsung refrigerator which lasted 9+years. I was comfortable buying another Samsung. I liked the technology integration, music,calendar,white board, photos, Art work, shopping list, internal camera,recipes and menu planning. It also integrates with my Ring system cameras and notifications. The term used by Samsung is "family hub" . The app is an important component because while grocery shopping I can view the inside of the refrigerator shelf's. I am very pleased with this purchase.

The Samsung refrigerator was delivered in flawless condition thanks to the excellent protective packaging as shown in the attached photo. It's a stylish black stainless finish. The recessed handles contribute to the sleek look and enhance the counter depth size as shown installed in my kitchen. The most interesting feature is the Family Hub. It is easy to set up and has many useful apps. We love the popular music apps that sound great - especially for a refrigerator! There is adequate space inside and it runs quiet. THe ice maker location in the door is a space saver. There are a couple of feature that we wish it had: -Temperature control for a meat drawer. -Humidity control for the produce drawer. -More than one interior light. The lower half of the interior is somewhat dark (as shown in the photo) when the shelves are loaded. Overall a great refrigerator. Highly recommended.

Beautiful fridge

This fridge is absolutely beautiful. The screen is nice and big and easy to use. The stainless steel and screen wipe down easy with a microfiber cloth. The inside is a little smaller than I thought it would be and the camera to see inside is basically useless since it only shows what is directly in front of it. There's also no light in the dispenser area so you can't pour water at night without turning on a light. The ice cube capacity is a little too small for my family of 5 so we constantly run out of ice during the day. I do like that I can see my notes on the fridge from my phone when I'm away from the house. Makes it easier to do our shopping list.

Fantastic potential

After having a flawless delivery, I've had opportunity to interact with my new refrigerator for a few days now. I try to be fair and balanced in my reviews, overall at this point my impressions are generally favorable despite some of the negative issues. I suspect I will learn to accommodate these issues because the positives are very good. Pros: Initial set up to Wi-Fi very simple, that being said, multiple accounts for individual users need to be created on different apps to get full utilization of Family Hub. Rapid freeze and rapid cool work very well. Interior layout well thought out and engineered, very efficient use of space. Appears very solidly constructed. Superb fit and finish, quality materials used throughout. Customer service and professionalism of installers was unparalleled, there was an issue with a power failure, it was dealt with no fuss. Cons: Touchscreen very slow to respond. Non-intuitive interface, 82-year-old mother who uses iOS had great difficulty understanding simple functions. Bixby interaction with non-Samsung ecosystem very limited ie; ingredient list cannot be transferred to a shopping list for a different application such as Instacart - small selection of additional apps. Icemaker works very slowly. Icemaker capacity very limited. No ability to actually monitor interior temperatures. So I added an external wireless remote monitor for the refrigerator and freezer. Interior camera view very limited. Camera tagging of food unnecessarily complex, if items are moved in the refrigerator, tagging is useless. Perhaps in a later firmware update these issues will be addressed.

Owned a fridge until you've owned a Samsung Famliy Hub! From the ice and water dispenser to the camera to see what's inside (keeps the kids and big kids from repeatedly opening the door), to the family board, where we share our last vacation photos and reminisce on how it was to be outdoors, morning inspirational messages and. Not to mention the notes and recipe features and the music and mirroring. My sons and I couldn't imagine our kitchen with anything other than our Samsung Family Hub at this point. Great Samsung refrigerator

I am in love with this refrigerator. Let's start with the 21 inch touch screen family hub. It is amazing it shows you the inside of the fridge so you can see what you're running low on my only con would be on that aspect is that you cant move the camera around to see anywhere else besides that small area. You can also play music, order from amazon, watch youtube, make grocery lists and send it to your phone and so much more. Every morning I write inspirational quotes on the screen for my family. Also you adjust the temperature for the freezer and fridge on the screen. The fridge is a decent size I like that the door can hold the milk and juice saves me space on the shelves. The draws have a safety feature if the other one is slightly open you cannot open the other. Same for the freezer, the water filter is very easy to access and change. Great refrigerator I highly recommend it. My only other con is I wish the ice and water dispenser had a light when you use it because when it's dark it's hard to see.

State of the Art Refrigerator

This refrigerator is stunning in every aspect. Although it may be only 21.5 cu. ft. It feels like a whole lot more when you open it. The LED lighting is good, however the addition of groceries knocks down the luminosity a bit when filled. The freezer section is adequate and suits this family's needs. The ice maker works great, albeit a slight delay after pressing the sensor. Cooled fresh, filtered water is a must, and this fridge delivers. The amount of shelves throughout are plenty to allow for all sorts of items. the door shelves are perfect. The Family Hub is amazing. You can personalize the screen with your own photos, get new recipes to try out, create a shopping list for your groceries. You can see inside the fridge just in case you are at the store and can't remember if you have eggs or not! If you have Pandora, you can log it and listen to your music. The food seems fresher and vegetables are crispier. I am deeply satisfied with the new fridge and have received nothing but glowing reviews from friends and family that have seen it.

I really love my new Samsung refrigerator (RS22T5561SG). This refrigerator is replacing a 14 year old refrigerator and this is proving to be quite the experience. First, the black brushed steel exterior is sleek and sexy. It compliments my black stove and equally themed Samsung dishwasher and microwave. I'm well on my way to a themed kitchen and I like it. The LCD on the front is gorgeous, large, and responsive. The speaker below the screen is clear, powerful, and has decent bass. I make particular mention of this because my family has started making frequent use of our Pandora account and streaming a lot of music in the kitchen. I was not expecting this refrigerator to become a social hub but that is what has happened. Pleasant surprise there. The interior is well lit, spacious, and easy to use. Lighting is provided by LEDs located towards the front of the refrigerator and are angled downward to better illuminate the interior. The shelves are clear glass and are well spaced. I am really liking the clear door shelves more, however, as they make it easy to see labels on bottles and jars. It is so easy to find things in here compared to my old fridge. No performance issues, really. It does a great job cooling things down and doesn't make any noise when doing so. When I initially received the appliance I was expecting it to take a while to cool things down but was surprised to find it at optimal temperatures in less than 30 minutes. The built-in fridge app stated the temperatures for both sides of the fridge. Neat. This also brings me to the Smart Things aspect of the fridge that yielded yet another surprise. My wife attached her Samsung account to the fridge and enabled the Smart Things feature. She can now receive the operational stats of the refrigerator and also receive notifications. Nothing annoying, mind you, just helpful. One of the kids blitzed into the kitchen for snacks and left without closing the refrigerator. Five minutes later the fridge began a soft chime and notifications popped up on her Samsung phone and our Samsung TV in the living room. The sleek design of the 21.5 cu ft. side by side Samsung refrigerator fits nicely in my kitchen. It has a very quiet operation. The recessed handles are so nice. I like the fact i see less fingerprints because of the black stainless steel color. The ice and water dispenser is so easy to use. I like that the ice maker is in the door which makes more room in the freezer. The family hub, where do I begin. I use the family hub app. I have uploaded family photos to enjoy when I enter the kitchen. I can blue tooth my phone to listen to my favorite music. There is other music apps all ready on the hub. I like being able to keep track of foods that will expire. The ability to see in the fridge is great but the camera is a little limited to a couple of shelves. The all around cooling is keeping everything evenly cooled and proper temperature. Led lighting makes the inside look very pleasing. I could go on and on. I love this refrigerator!

I love this new item added to my kitchen. It is quiet, sleek and so much space inside. My kids love writing in the notes, listening to music and watching all kinds of shows. Keeps a good vibe going in the kitchen. I love how many shelves and storage compartments are in this fridge. My husband had so much fun adding pictures of the family on the hub. I absolutely love Samsung. My kids love getting water and ice, they are for sure more hydrated, so easy. Love using the app to see what's inside, when your not home. Writing a list of items that need to be purchased, my husband and I can both see. I highly recommend this item. Absolutely love it!

I have purchased many Samsung products through the years. They always have good quality and stand behind their name. The storage inside the door of the refrigerator side is nice because it is large enough to put a full gallon of milk in it. The drawers have a nice feature that if the top drawer is not fully closed the other one wont open. This is a nice feature because it prevents crisper drawer being opened. The filter is in a nice convenient Stop to change. It is located on the bottom right side for easy access. It comes with a tool to aid in filter change. The touch screen in front is great for photos, music, recipes and daily inspiration notes to the family. It has a great camera that can be mirrored to your electronic device such as a phone or tablet. If your at the store you can see what you need with a password protected capability. The freezer has two drawer on the bottom that is large enough for storage. I love the water and the ice dispenser in front of the freezer. The family has a bonus feature of getting crushed ice as well. The water is easily accessed in front of the door for great tasting filtered water. I really like the refrigerator and would recommend it to anyone.

I am an 82-year-old woman in a wheelchair. My son arranged for me to get this for my 82nd birthday. Because of the coronavirus, I was unable to get it until about a month after my birthday. It was a very interesting delivery because the power went off and they were unable to test the refrigerator at the time. Of course, afterwards everything worked perfectly. Because I'm in a wheelchair, the ability to see what's inside the refrigerator without opening it is amazing. It looks like it was cut from a single piece of metal, flawless like a diamond. I've been trying to figure out how to work all the features, every time my son comes over I find something new. I am very technologically challenged, so it takes me a while to figure things out sometimes. I just discovered that I can play music, I love it while I'm cooking with my aide. The inside of both the refrigerator and the freezer is very well laid out, and the temperature control is great with both top and bottom of the refrigerator being at the same temperatures. I used to have a problem with my old refrigerator where things would freeze at the bottom and be warm at the top and I don't have a problem with this one. My son has been sending me pictures that appear on the screen like a photo frame to cheer me up. I look forward to going by the refrigerator to see what new picture is going to be there. Because of the lockdown, I order through Instacart and having it built into the refrigerator is a godsend. I have been exploring some of the features that you can access through my iPad, unlike the ability to make a shopping list. Being able to look at my refrigerator from my iPad is also great while I'm making my shopping list. For anybody who has limited mobility, this is a wonderful feature. It has more than enough room for everything I need, and the LED lighting makes it so easy to look into without having to turn on the kitchen light.

Samsung black stainless steel amazing color not dull very shiny . Its so Roomie inside and many draws .The handles I love them .Think the ice and water are are amazing favorite feature ice chips .Freezer has different compartments big enough for our family .I like the fact I can see the weather when I'm getting morning coffee and listen to music while in the kitchen cooking .Tye best thing my daughter loves is the meal planning so much easier having it right there .Looking up recipes all right at your finger tips I'm still exploring through the hub and discovery new things the inside is so percent with amount of shelves and draws cool so easy to hook up too .the hub is defiantly the focal point in this family and waiting to discover way more

So far the experience of mine with Samsung Refrigerator (Side by side with Family hub) has been amazing. I would like to start with providing the details of the major features starting with the following: 1. Appearance: The exterior looks flawless with having finger print resistance feature that would help us to not clean the refrigerator every time. The placement of family hub is absolutely great as it can be accessed by anyone. 2. Interior: The sections within the refrigerator are placed in such a way that it gives full room without wastage to place the items within refrigerator as well as in freezer. Cooling is great and can be adjusted as per your need in both the sections (refrigerator and freezer) by using hub and that is really an ease for the user and at the same time I have downloaded the app by the name of 'Smart Things' that assists you in every bit to keep track of your refrigerator. The freezer is bigger than I could think of to accommodate my items and easily manageable as you do not feel inconvenient in stacking or restacking the items. If you talk about water dispenser, that has a facility to dispense water, ice and crushed ice with the option to lock them up not manually but by Family hub and that gives you a great technological advancement. 3. Recently I picked up a new Samsung 21.5 cu. ft. side by side refrigerator with a smart screen. I have wanted a smart refrigerator for a while now. If I had realized how great it was, I would have ordered one months ago! The lines are sleek, and the finish does a great job preventing fingerprints. The option I am most enjoying is the touchscreen. Both myself and my family have really enjoyed this option. It has several features and apps that are already making our lives a little easier. My kids love the homepage where you can upload photos and have them displayed on the screen. It gives the unit a nice family feel without the clutter. The whiteboard is also a fun touch. You can write messages to each other, post notes, or simply play around and use it for drawing pictures. My favorite app is the Smart Recipes app. When I am trying to figure out our meal plan for the week, this app will allow me to search up new and existing meals with a variety of options. It includes pictures of the meal so I can see what the end result will look like. Furthermore, it gives me the option to check off all of the ingredients I need to complete the dish, and then send them to my phone as a shopping list. The 21" screen is large enough that I can still see the recipe from across the kitchen when I am cooking. Overall, I have been very happy with my refrigerator and would recommend this product to any of my friends and family.

We received this fridge and it has been the center of attention from day 1. I came home and immediately was shocked and surprised at how nice this fridge was and the tons of features included in the Family Hub. My brother and I are constantly discovering new things with this fridge. I really like the color and the doorless design. The Family Hub app was easy to setup and interact with the fridge. We are using the view inside and photo feature daily. I have received daily briefings from the fridge using the feature rich Bixby app, being able to get the news each morning and weather reports are just awesome. The LED Lighting inside make this fridge stand out even more and the whisper quiet ICE Maker and Water dispenser are even better. I like all the space inside and the design of the removable shelving. My brother stated setup was a breeze and only took about 10 minutes. Each day after work I am discovering new features and spending time entertaining myself with the Family Hub is my new hobby. This fridge is by far the greatest toy we have and it will keep us entertained for a long time. Cleaning the doors and screen are very simple and unlike other refrigerators this one doesn't easily get dirty. Overall, I give this feature rich fridge a 10 out of 10, Samsung did an awesome job with this one.

I received delivery of my 22-cu. ft. Counter Depth Side-by-Side Refrigerator. My Samsung refrigerator fingerprint resistant black stainless steel with flat doors. I love the recessed handles, no door handle look. With the gallon door bins I am able to store my large beverage containers. It has an In-Door Ice Maker which is a great space saver in the freezer. This model offers the extra storage I was looking for. The HUB is really nice. The HUB will notify you if the fridge temperature drops as well as other important features.

Incredible, to say the least.

Well, I replaced the fridge I got when I bought my house in 2004. This Samsung fridge is incredible on so many levels. Setting it up was easy, other than I commend Samsung for the packing, everything that needed to be protected with Styrofoam was and then some. So the removal of all that took some time, but I am not complaining and there was not a single scratch or anything. Once plugged in it detected the WI-FI network and connected quickly. It upgraded itself, and once complete, it had me log in to my Samsung account. It self registered and set up the family hub with self explanatory input on my part. Once all the logins to the various apps and whatnot's were completed, the fridge was loaded with food and such. The ice-maker made its first batch within 12 hours. I must admit over the first week the vegetables seem crisper and fresher. the temp holds very well and I love the alarm that dings when a door stays open for more than 2 minutes. The screen size on the Hub is awesome, like a giant tablet on your door. The built in speaker is well built and Pandora sounds great, even at a loud level. The LED lighting is good. I added a video of the pictures shaking when you close the door. I think that is ingenious. The amount of space in the fridge side and the freezer side is adequate. It is very different than what I had for the last 16 years, but I am getting used to it very quickly. I love the look, it's perfect and matched my stove. Anyone that is looking to buy a new fridge, I recommend and will recommend this line of Family Hub refrigerators to them. You cannot go wrong with a Samsung.

We received our fridge and were floored with how it fits in the spot next to the cabinets. The slick look and amazing performance makes us very happy to have this fridge! First, setup was easy and smooth. The fridge has a quick cook and freeze that helps you start using the fridge quickly. I foresee it helping if the power goes out. Inside the fridge, the lighting is beautiful and clean. I love the shelving how two of the shelves are the correct level to fit tall items and how you can fit a half gallon carton in the door! Our vegetables seem to last longer when using the drawer at the bottom of the fridge as well. This fridge does truly cool all over which helps out during these times that our fridge is a bit fuller than it should be. . In the freezer, the different shelves and drawers helped us keep it organized like we prefer. Which then makes it easier to see if we need to order something instead of having to dig through the freezer to see if we have something. Speaking of ordering, the camera in the fridge shows the center of the fridge which is where we keep our milk. This feature helps us when we are at the store trying to remember if we have a quarter or half of gallon of milk left. Now let's talk about this tablet! We made a carrot cake from scratch the other day and was able to pull up the recipe and watch the Video on how to make the cake from our fridge door! My daughter loves listening to pandora while we cook, and my son loves leaving messages on the door for his father to see before he heads out to work the next day. My family loved the look, design, storage, and fun that this fridge offers to our family and highly recommend it! The only thing that would make it better would be a light where the water dispenser is, though this is minor.

I am very impressed with the stylish look , the Black Stainless Steel color POPS and is not dull. The doors are very easy to open and the controls are visible and easy to use. The Family Hub is the FOCAL point of this refrigerator and is quite easy to setup, use and add to your home network of smart devices. The Family Hub interacts quickly when functions are selected, the apps open very quickly and the display is vivid, bright and crisp. The sleek design of the hub is positioned very precisely on the door. The inside is quite spacious and functional, shelving is very sturdy and the lighting is very adequate and bright. The lighting itself brightens the entire inside of the refrigerator. The amount of storage of each shelf and container is more than enough and spaced out well enough to offer more room and storage. The ICE machine is very state of the art and nicely designed on the inside of the freezer door and doesn't interfere with the shelving or opening/closing of the door. Connection to my network was a breeze and the included apps helped in making the Family Hub part of my network of smart products. After connecting the Family Hub to my network, I was able to quickly connect to the Smart Things app and control all of the features with my mobile device. Being able to view inside, set food reminders and even the filter expiration date reminder is awesome. The music sounds superb and the music apps respond quite well when selected. Adding photos/events/reminders to the Family Hub were very easy to add and since it was already paired with my mobile device, the notifications immediately displayed and with very little effort got added to the correct sections of the Family Hub. The screensaver feature which works when the Family Hub is idle is quite astonishing, the photos are vivid and display even better than the original images. I am extremely impressed with how easy this refrigerator was to setup overall, how easy it was to add my food and there is more than enough room to view the inside in its entirety without having to move things around. The non-freezer side is organized extremely well in terms of the storage space and bins. Again, the inside HD lighting is quite noticeable and illuminates the entire inside allowing greater visibility of your food items. The handleless doors add to the sleek design and overall aesthetics. This refrigerator is awesome and the Family Hub feature compliments the design and overall appeal.
